If it's God, nothing can stop it! Matt Ulrich introduces us to Stephen in Acts 6-7 as we continue our series, The Movement. Stephen, "a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit... grace and power..." had a depth of the gospel story that should be the goal and vision of every disciple. Taste and know the real thing, Jesus Christ's truth, and let Him transform you!
Our Great Awakening series continues as Matt Ulrich opens our eyes to the paradigm found in Acts 3:11-21. The Gospel conversation is not about what we do, rather by who God is! Sozo, the Greek work for salvation, includes new life, wholeness, and physical healing, all solely found in our relationship with God.
On this edition of the Greenhouse Movement podcast, Mike Patz, Brian Sanders and Matt Ulrich continue their conversation, inspiring us to think about our calling, intentionally seeking the specific ways that God is leading us forward. Microchurches are important communities through which to discern and practice one's calling, serving as a support to encourage one another to move on mission. Microchurch Conference: https://microchurchconference.com/ Connect with us: Greenhouse Website: https://greenhousechurch.org/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/greenhousec... The Greenhouse Movement podcast continues as Mike Patz, Matt Ulrich and Brian Sanders discuss the "church" as a worshipping community on mission. We are called to plant these life-giving expressions of the church in our homes and workplaces, mobilizing people, developing them as disciples and leaders, bringing the gospel to our world.
This week we are doing a bonus episode with Matt Ulrich of Greenhouse church, who the Underground is partnering with to host the upcoming Microchurch Conference. You will hear about how microchurch DNA is in everything they do, despite having their largest attendance on Sunday mornings. By focusing on making disciples in a way that is organized but organic, the Greenhouse community continues to empower ministry leaders and walk alongside them in their individual callings and journeys. Join us in March of 2022 for the first ever Microchurches Conference. Register now! Resources Mentioned: Different by Brian Sanders and Mike Patz
Did you know that there is grant money out there for first time buyers? Matt Ulrich, president of the Salt Lake Board of Realtors discusses the guidelines and how to apply for the board's 2021 grants. Depending on what type of first-time home buyer grant you receive, you can get many different kinds of loans. Some are for single parents that are first-time homebuyers, while others are for military vets. Along with specific loan categories, you must fit the criteria such as using a realtor of the Salt Lake City realtor board, purchasing an owner-occupied home, have a credit score of 640, and other specific details depending on the loan criteria. Discipleship is a term you may not be familiar with because it is commonly used within the church. It's similar to mentorship. It's the practice of training others in a more personal approach, but it's so much more than that. I believe many American Christians have not experienced true discipleship because they may not have been given the opportunity or those who could disciple them have not been properly guided themselves. So we rely on Sunday mornings to do what should be done through discipleship, and a Sunday morning service can never fulfill that need. My friend Matt Ulrich was someone I wanted to talk to specifically about discipleship because I know it is a passion of his, and he has studied the practice of discipleship more than anyone else I know. Even if you're not a Christian, I think there is good advice in this episode about how we can influence and help others to grow in their abilities. One of the things I like about the idea of true discipleship is that it's more than just giving people a checklist of items or personal sermons, it's about seeing the positive strengths someone has and using your power to enable them to use them, and then to do the same for others. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jonathan-tony/support
