Matthew 11When a career-ending injury took Leslie Frazier off the field, he had no idea where God would lead him next. “Never crossed my mind,” he says of the coaching career that followed — one that now includes three Super Bowl rings. But it was never about the rings. Through every transition — from player to coach, from setback to sideline — Frazier learned to walk by faith, trusting that the path God set before him would glorify His name. That trust led Leslie into the coaches' fellowship Tony Dungy helped start more than twenty years ago, where coaches from across the NFL come together each month around Scripture Union's Encounter with God® to study the Word and hold one another accountable.Following along with the Encounter with God daily Bible reading guide? Find it at scriptureunion.org. Featured Guest: Leslie Frazier, assistant head coach of the Seattle SeahawksLeslie Frazier is the assistant head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, a role he has held since 2024 alongside head coach Mike Macdonald. Now in his 27th season as an NFL coach, his football journey began on the field: he played five seasons as a cornerback for the Chicago Bears and was a member of the legendary 1985 Bears defense that won Super Bowl XX. After his playing days, Frazier built a long and respected coaching career, including serving as defensive backs coach and assistant head coach for the Indianapolis Colts during their Super Bowl XLI championship, four seasons as head coach of the Minnesota Vikings, and six seasons with the Buffalo Bills as defensive coordinator and assistant head coach. With Seattle's recent title, he now holds Super Bowl rings as both a player and a coach. A devoted follower of Christ, Frazier was among the coaches who, with Tony Dungy, helped start the NFL Coaches Fellowship that gathers twice a month around the Encounter with God guide. He and his wife have three children.
Mina Kimes joins the podcast for an annual NFL exercise: identifying which teams can realistically win the Super Bowl. Kevin & Mina go division by division, separating contenders from pretenders and debating everything from the Bengals' ceiling, the Ravens' offseason changes, and the Jaguars' upside to whether the Steelers have any realistic path to a championship. Plus, are the Broncos the team to beat in the AFC West? Can the Chargers take the next step? Is the NFC North the toughest division in football to evaluate? And how many teams truly belong in the Super Bowl conversation? Then NFL Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher joins the show to discuss the Bears' outlook under Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson, the future of Soldier Field, and what it takes to build an elite NFL defense. He tells stories from his playing days, memories of Devin Hester, facing Aaron Rodgers, the one play from Super Bowl XLI he wishes he could have back, and his pick for the toughest teammate he ever played with. Cam Worrell was a safety for the Chicago Bears (he played in Super Bowl XLI) and briefly was on the Miami Dolphins. For many years he's been the sideline reporter for Fresno State Football. In the first of two segments, Cam breaks down Fernando Mendoza - he chose to pass on being at the NFL Draft opting to be with his family. This caused quite a bit of social media outrage and more than a few media members questioning why he made that decision. Also, is he the man to turn around the Raiders, what of the Chiefs and is the spectacle that has become the NFL Draft gotten to outrageous or is it "the more pomp, the better." Romans 11:36–14:9Join SU President, Gail Martin and guest Tony Dungy, Pro Football Hall of Famer, reflecting on a new week of Scripture readings from the Book of Romans.Featured Guest: Tony Dungy, Pro Football Hall of FamerTony Dungy is a Pro Football Hall of Famer, Super Bowl-winning head coach, bestselling author, and one of the most respected voices in professional football. Over a 13-year head coaching career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1996–2001) and Indianapolis Colts (2002–2008), he compiled a 148–79 record and became the first African American head coach to win the Super Bowl when the Colts defeated the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI. He holds a number of NFL firsts, including being the first head coach to defeat all 32 NFL teams, the youngest assistant coach in league history at age 25, and the youngest defensive coordinator at 28. Before coaching, Dungy played as a defensive back for the Pittsburgh Steelers and was part of their Super Bowl XIII championship team. After playing college ball for the University of Minnesota, Dungy played three seasons in the National Football League for the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers. Beginning his coaching career in 1980, Dungy went on to serve as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and later the Indianapolis Colts. He guided the Colts to a Super Bowl victory in 2007.Considered one of the brightest young minds in the NFL, Dungy landed his first head coaching opportunity in 1996, when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tapped him to lead the club. For a franchise that had long been the league's doormat, Dungy, with his calm demeanor and ability to connect with players, was a breath of fresh air, bringing both respectability and victories to a team sorely lacking in both areas. However, despite making the Bucs a regular playoff contender, Dungy was fired after the 2001 season. Again, he was not out of work long. In January 2002, the Indianapolis Colts hired Dungy to be its next head coach.During his remarkable seven-year run with the Colts and its star quarterback, Peyton Manning, Dungy turned the franchise into a perennial Super Bowl contender. The Vince Lombardi trophy finally came Dungy's way on February 4, 2007, when the Colts defeated the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI, 29-17, in Miami. The victory made Dungy the first African American to coach a Super Bowl–winning club. It also made him just the third person in NFL history to win a title as a player and as a head coach.Following the 2008 season, and after 31 seasons patrolling an NFL sideline, Dungy retired from coaching.Since stepping down as head coach of the Colts, Dungy has worked as an analyst for NBC's "Football Night in America." In addition, Dungy, a committed Christian, has remained active in a number of charitable causes, including Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Prison Crusade Ministry.Recommended reading inspired by Tony Dungy:

Prince is the subject of a new film from one of the greatest living documentarians, but it might never come out and almost no one's seen it. We talk to someone who did: editor and writer Sasha Weiss. Meanwhile, the rise in pop star docs can be a good hang for fans, but when a film is a glorified press release, we miss out on a lot, says journalist Matthew Belloni. Willie Mays, may his memory be for a blessing. But I have no reservations about selling his cards now. We celebrate Al Michaels, the greatest living sportscaster and the only announcer to call the Stanley Cup, the NBA Finals, the World Series, and the Super Bowl. One Super Bowl Michaels didn't do was Super Bowl XLI, when Prince gave the all-time best halftime performance. This leads us to Purple Rain, the top album of 1984, and the movie Purple Rain, featuring Apollonia, who caught the imagination of this 13-year-old adolescent. If Prince didn't win 1984 Willie Hernandez did, and Hernandez takes the hill in the bottom of the 8th to face the National League. Plus, the incredible story of trusting and acting on my intuition to win an incredible card for my PC. We end with a special announcement in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the 1984 All-Star Game.
We get a roads report from Connor, an Omaha Hockey preview w/ Nick Handley, a look at the quirks within Creighton's basketball schedule, the talk of Twitter last night, get an update on Jessie James Decker, we name the most random jerseys we had as kids, dig into the Super Bowl XLI box score, and a critique of fashion

Hester played eight of his 11 NFL seasons with the Chicago Bears and is known as the most prolific return specialist in league history, he holds NFL records with 19 kick-return touchdowns, 14 punt-return TDs and 20 return touchdowns, which includes punts, kickoffs, missed field goals, fumbles and interceptions. Growing up with turmoil and heartache as his father, who he never met until later in his childhood, battled an illness after being released from prison. In a difficult moment, Devin opens up sharing what the true cause of death was for his father after spending his life telling the world his dad passed away from cancer when in fact it wasn't. The release of burden is heavy and the guys offer a sounding board. One of the University of Miami's standout players during his collegiate days, Devin talks about his choice of going to school there and the controversy surrounding his attendance and how his playing days shaped his career. Talking with Ryan, Channing and Fred, Devin names his top 5 NFL players with Hurricane roots.
