For the FuMP's Tribute to Dr. Demento, I wanted to write an original song about what the good Doctor's show meant to me, and how it has influenced pretty much my whole life. I wouldn't be writing and performing comedy music, I wouldn't have the friends and relationships I have, and I wouldn't be where I am, let alone who I am without his show and his influence. So thank you Barry...all of this is your fault. And I mean that affectionately. Lyrics and Vocals: Insane Ian Music: "Pico and Sepulveda" by Felix Figueroa and His Orchestra, as covered by Power Salad, and then sampled by Trevor Morgan
Juan Ginés de Sepúlveda (1490-1573) was a Spanish humanist, philosopher, and theologian of the Spanish Renaissance. He is mainly known for his participation in a famous debate with Bartolomé de las Casas in Valladolid, Spain, in 1550–1551. The debate centered on the legitimacy of the conquest and colonization of America by the Spanish Empire and on the treatment of the Native Americans. The main philosophical referents of Sepulveda were Aristotle, Saint Thomas Aquinas, Roman law and Christian theology. These influences allowed him to argue for the cultural superiority and domination of the Spanish over the Native Americans during the period of the conquest. Raising people up to send out as church planters is a daunting task. A flurry of questions present themselves: where do I find a leader, how do I prepare them, who will replace them? In this episode, Matt and Christine flip the script and dig into how Ralph identified, trained, and replaced church planters while leading the Hope Chapel Movement
Much of the Church in the U.S. needs new life breathed into it, just as it did when Ralph starting multiplying Hope Chapels. In this episode, Matt and Christine talk about the vision that Greenhouse Church has to saturate Florida through disciple making, mirroring what happened with Hope Chapel. This conversation is packed with insight, reflection, and driving factors behind being used by God: surrender and humility.
It's easy and common to turn church gatherings into preaching events where just hear a message and leave. Jesus though was highly relational and disciple making should follow His pattern. Greenhouse Church in Florida follows this relational emphasis. In this podcast, you'll hear from two of Greenhouse's pastors who are focused on church planting – Matt Ulrich and Christine Sepulveda. Their personal stories and focus on planting new works draw out the importance of creating spaces where people can feel seen and accepted.

About Rodrigo Sepulveda:Rodrigo Sepulveda is a self-described "culture hacker" with a passion for helping others unlock their full potential. Known for his adventurous spirit, Rodrigo views the world as his playground, frequently traveling and making new connections wherever he goes. A dedicated student of mindset, alchemy, and quantum physics, he continuously explores the deeper aspects of human potential and personal growth. Rodrigo thrives on fostering relationships and believes in the transformative power of connection, always eager to inspire and bring out the best in those around him.In this episode, Jennie Bellinger and Rodrigo Sepulveda discuss:Cultivating an unwavering commitment to achieving successEmbodying the mindset and behaviors of a successful leaderDeveloping emotional mastery practices for optimal performanceUtilizing pattern interruption techniques to access higher consciousnessAligning one's transformed self-image with the desired outcomeKey Takeaways:Maintaining an unwavering commitment to success is crucial for overcoming challenges and achieving your goals. Through a process of self-brainwashing and embodying the characteristics of your desired future self, you can attract the right people and opportunities to support your growth.Developing a deep understanding and mastery of your emotions is essential for sustainable success, and by recognizing the difference between green emotions, such as courage and play, and red emotions, like fear and anxiety, you can make decisions and take actions from a place of empowerment rather than limitation.Whether through meditation, breathwork, or other mindfulness practices, these methods of interrupting your current patterns and accessing higher states of consciousness can help you silence the logical mind and tap into the wisdom of your intuitive, emotional self.Align your transformed self-image with the desired outcome you wish to achieve."If there is something that doesn't resonate with my soul, I immediately pause and ask myself questions to validate what I'm feeling. I don't ignore my feelings. I don't ignore my intuition. ” — Rodrigo SepulvedaConnect with Rodrigo Sepulveda: Facebook Link: https://www.facebook.com/rsepulvedadelvillar?mibextid=LQQJ4dInstagram Handle: https://instagram.com/@rsepulvedadvConnect with Jennie:Website: https://badassdirectsalesmastery.com/Email: jennie@badassdirectsalesmastery.comFacebook personal page: https://facebook.com/jbellingerPLFacebook podcast page: http://facebook.com/BadassDirectSalesMasteryFacebook group for Badass Crew: https://facebook.com/groups/BadassDirectSalesMomsInstagram: https://instagram.com/BadassDirectSalesMasteryPersonal Instagram: https://instagram.com/jenniebellingerLinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/in/BadassDirectSalesMasteryShow Notes by Podcastologist: Hanz Jimuel AlvarezAudio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions. Laurie Sepulveda explores alternatives like "single premium PMI" or using a second mortgage, while also weighing the risks and benefits of these options. Whether it's finding a fixer-upper or rethinking your budget, she emphasizes the importance of personalizing your financial decisions to fit your situation. This insurance protects the lender - in case you stop making mortgage payments.” “Buying a house with less than 20% down means you'll have a higher mortgage payment and you'll pay more in total interest.” Episode references: The Power of Now: https://www.amazon.com/Power-Now-Guide-Spiritual-Enlightenment/dp/1577314808 Learn more about your ad choices.
