Presented by FLY Racing If you've been on social media at all the past week, you've certainly caught wind of the MX Fite Club race that's going on next Tuesday, May 12. MX Fite Klub is a bracket-style race that will pit 10 legends of our sport in two-rider, two-lap elimination races until an MX Fite Klub champion is crowned. For this installment of the FLY Racing Swapmoto Podcast, we caught up with all nine of the 10 racers (we already did a podcast on Monday with Ryan Villopoto about Fite Klub) to get their take on the ground-breaking event, see what they are doing to prepare, and get a little insight about what to expect. Listen in to hear from Mike Alessi, Damon Bradshaw, Broc Glover, Travis Pastrana, Ryan Sipes, Jeff Stanton, Ivan Tedesco, Ryan Villopoto, Jake Weimer, and Kevin Windham!
Jason Weigandt gets some candid answers from Ryan Villopoto about the pressure of winning titles—and how his personality changed once that pressure was finally off. While it may seem like many riders are retiring early these days, in reality, only the Ryans (Villopoto and Dungey) left while on top in their twenties, and as RV explains, the pressure of a championship streak makes your life and career completely different. RV also talks about racing in next week's Moto Fite Klub against an old rival like Mike Alessi. The Racer X Exhaust Podcast is presented by Yoshimura.
Adam Cianciarulo joins us to talk about his rookie 450 year, the recovery from his collarbone injury and how his "lockdown" has been spent. RV2 and Mike Alessi have a rivalry that started on minibikes so it may come as a shock that they came on the show as a dynamic duo. We hear from them about this whole Moto Fite Club deal, what it means and how it came together. Andy Gregg of Guts Racing is in studio to help keep things respectable.
Presented by FLY Racing Ryan Villopoto is always a fun chat, and this week on the FLY Racing Swapmoto Podcast we got the 11-time champ on the phone to talk about MX Fite Klub. Unless your phone is busted and you haven't been on Instagram, you should have already caught wind of the event that is going down on May 12 on the Fite TV app. Ryan Villopoto, Mike Alessi, Travis Pastrana, Ivan Tedesco, Damon Bradshaw, Ryan Sipes, Jeff Stanton, Broc Glover, Kevin Windham, and Jake Weimer will face off in one-on-one grudge matches in a bracket-style race. Hear about the MX Fite Klub, and more, in this episode with RV2.
Get ready for a good old fashion rumble folks! Whilst in lockdown former multi national AMA champion Jeff Stanton has rallied together some of the biggest names in the sport for a unique event the Moto Fite Klub! On May 12th at 10pm UK time former AMA champions will not only get together to talk about their illustrious careers for a good old bit of bench racing but also go head to head on a track to rekindle past battles. Ryan Villopoto v Mike Alessi v Travis Pastrana v Kevin Windham v Ivan Tedesco v Ryan Sipes v Broc Glover v Jake Weimer and probably the best show down of them all Stanton himself back up against the Beast from the East - Damon Bradshaw. If this ain’t worth £9.99 of your time on pay per view we don’t know what is. But rather than us big it up and fill you in on the finer details, here’s Jeff himself, talking to our Jeff (Perrett) about it all over the blower. Take a listen…it’s well worth it! https://www.fite.tv/watch/moto-fite-klub/2p75c/
