Join Peter Windsor live as we look back at a turbulent Spanish GP (and its repercussions) - and ahead to this weekend's Canadian GP at Montreal's gorgeous Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Questions, as ever, cover the full gamut of motor racing folklore - from what made Adelaide a great venue for the F1 season finale to whether or not Fangio is under-rated by today's F1 community. Peter's intro includes a tribute to the brilliant French journalist, Eric Bhat; a review of the 2026 F1 calendar; and a look back at last weekend's spectacular Rally Italia SardegnaWith thanks to Jetcraft, the world's largest buyer and seller of executive jets:https://jetcraft.comTo OEM Exclusive, the passionate suppliers of OEM upgrades for exotic and high-performance vehiclesTo TrackNinja, a lap-timer and data app designed to help users improve their on-track car and driver performance through analysis and an innovative Data Garage. Peter talks us through the twists, turns, walls, kerbs, braking points and contact patches of the Saudi Arabian GP, a race characterised by Lando Norris's huge mistake under qualifying pressure; Max Verstappen's pole-lap brilliance and Oscar Piastri's race-long resilience. This podcast also includes a bonus post-qualifying analysis of Max Verstappen's approach to Turn 27 - the last corner - and interviews with Steve Hallam, Race Engineer to Ayrton Senna at John Player Team Lotus in 1985-86-87. In this podcast episode, we review the Alpinestars Convex Tech Fleece zip-up hoodie and the Alpinestars Treq Windbreaker. We continually test and review products to carry in the Law Abiding Biker Store. These are a couple of items that made the cut. We also talk about Lurch riding an expert section of the Backroad Discovery Route (BDR). We are lucky that section two of the Washington BDR runs right through our backyard. SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE The Alpinestars Convex Fleece has garnered attention as a versatile choice for those who need a hoodie that combines comfort with performance-driven design. Known for their high-quality motorsport and adventure gear, Alpinestars has delivered a fleece that caters to everyday wearers and motorcycle enthusiasts alike. Let's dive into why the Convex Fleece has become a go-to for style, warmth, and functionality. The Convex Fleece is available in multiple color options, making it easy to pair with any outfit, on or off the road. Practical Features for Riders: Alpinestars designed this fleece with practical features in mind. It includes a full-length front zipper for temperature control and hand-warmer pockets that double as storage for small essentials. Reflective detailing enhances visibility, adding a safety element for those who may wear it while riding in low-light conditions. Durability: Alpinestars is known for durability, and the Convex Fleece lives up to this reputation. Reinforced stitching and quality materials ensure that this hoodie can withstand the wear and tear of both everyday use and more rugged outdoor adventures. Performance on the Road For motorcycle riders, the Alpinestars Convex Fleece excels in providing a balance between warmth and mobility. While it's not a full-on riding jacket, the fleece is ideal for layering under protective gear or for casual rides in mild weather. The moisture-wicking properties help keep you dry, and the fleece lining offers warmth without being bulky, making it a great choice for cooler rides. Pros and Cons Pros: Stylish and versatile design suitable for casual and active wear. High-quality materials ensure long-lasting comfort. Thoughtful features like reflective elements for added safety. Breathable and warm, perfect for layering or standalone use in mild weather. CHECK OUT OUR HUNDREDS OF FREE HELPFUL VIDEOS ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND SUBSCRIBE! The BDR is a type of scenic or adventurous road trip, often focusing on less-traveled, rural, or off-the-beaten-path routes that offer a more intimate and immersive travel experience. Typically, these routes cater to those seeking adventure, natural beauty, and cultural experiences that are off the main tourist path. Backroad discovery routes are popular for road-trippers, motorcyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts who appreciate a slower, more scenic journey over high-speed highways. In the U.S., BDR are specific, mapped-out routes for adventure motorcyclists and off-road vehicle enthusiasts. These routes: Span several states, such as Colorado, Idaho, Utah, and Washington. Are usually designed for multi-day trips. Incorporate various terrains like mountains, deserts, and forests. Are mostly unpaved, involving dirt roads, forest trails, and rocky passes. Include both challenging sections for experienced riders and easier paths for beginners. Each route is usually developed with local input to highlight scenic and historical locations and to support rural economies by guiding travelers toward small towns and local businesses. These routes typically have resources, including GPS tracks, maps, and travel guides, available to help riders safely navigate and enjoy the journey. This week's first segment is brought to you by Editor Don Williams who recently rode the new 2024 Yamaha Tenere 700. Although the Tenere has been around for some time now, unusually, Don never quite managed to get the chance to ride one. So he looks at the Tenere and it's updates for 2024 from a fresh perspective. The big question is whether the Tenere is getting too long in the tooth to maintain its place in the market, or is it a really good, mature motorcycle that absolutely deserves to be on your shopping list? In our second segment this week, I chat with my friend Heath Cofran, the US Communications Lead for Alpinestars, the innovative safety company that we're all so familiar with. Heath chats about some of the upcoming ideas from the company; the Tech-Air safety system and its development; and the really interesting new Supertech R10 helmet that was just launched last year and worn for the first time by Jorge Martin and Jack Miller in MotoGP. Welcome to Motos and Friends, Ultimate Motorcycling's weekly Podcast brought to you by the spectacular Yamaha R7 – a new generation of supersport machine. Teejay Adams is not very experienced when it comes to riding off-road, so she was the perfect rider to go try out the new entry-level Honda XR150L, and indeed, she rode it both on the street and in the dirt as well. I was curious as to what she would think, as on the face of it, this incredibly inexpensive machine is very attractive, but let's be honest here, is it a real motorcycle, or is it just too underpowered and lightweight to be of use in the real world? 20m:27s Our Snippet this week comes to you from Alpinestars. The iconic Italian apparel manufacturer has an impressively large range of product, and as great as that is, it also may make it difficult to pick out what you might want. Recently I wore some A'Stars streetbike gear that impressed me, and Teejay sampled some of the Alpinestars off-road range of items that she liked. 31m:42s In our second segment, Teejay Adams chats with Somer Hooker, he's an expert in the world of vintage motorcycles and the chief judge at the Quail Motorcycle Gathering, and many others including the Salon Prive at Blenheim Palace, in the UK. He is the author of many articles which have been published in classic motorcycle magazines, and he has worked in residential therapeutic programs for children and youth, as well as helped establish the first residential program for autistic children in Tennessee. Dedicated Episode Page: https://tro.bike/?p=31137Music by Otis McDonald (https://otismacmusic.com/)Piper went to her first MotoGP (https://www.motogp.com/) event. She was kind enough bring Robin and Tim along via Zoom for the Moto3 race. Travis was late, so he missed out. Then, Piper went her own way to interview three (3) different interesting individuals at said event. Arai's (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=arai+motorcycle+helmet&tag=theridiobse-20) Brian Weston graced us with his presence plus thirty years of experience at what is currently the finest helmet manufacturer in the game, followed by the equally kind and informative Brent Jazwinski of Alpinestars (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=alpinestars+airbag+vest&tag=theridiobse-20). Brent "blew up" an airbag vest with his cohorts just in time for Piper to bump into Denise Luu of RideSmart (http://www.ridesmart.info/), a Texas based track and race training school. While Armene Piper was galavanting the MotoGP scene, the boys kicked back and forcibly extracted conversation from Travatron who missed the last episode. He too had plenty to say on the matter of helmets, discussing at length his newly purchased AGV carbon (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=agv+carbon+helmet&tag=theridiobse-20). Apparently he has to keep it tied to a brick or it will float away.

This week we got to speak with Fabryce Kutyba about the leading racewear brand in the motorsports industry, Alpinestars! More than just a guy who sells motorsports gear, Fabryce is and has always been a major gearhead with connections to Aplina, GMG, and much more. He's a racer to the core, has great taste in cars, and has some great stories from a lifetime in motorsports. On top of all that, he's an Avants member! Dan actually wanted to work really for Alpinestars back in his 20s, and if you dig into the episode notes on the Avants page, you'll get a good laugh at his 20 year throwback.
Bobby Fong's career and life has changed a lot in the past few months. For starters, he won't be lining up on the MotoAmerica Medallia Superbike grid in 2022 as his career path has taken a turn with Fong taking a "real" job with Alpinestars. The 2019 MotoAmerica Supersport Champion is working for Alpinestars in their racer-support program and is currently traveling from Supercross to Supercross. In March, his work schedule will switch a bit more and he will be racing a Roland Sands Designs Indian in the MotoAmerica Mission King Of The Baggers season-opener at Daytona International Raceway. Following Daytona, Fong will compete in two more KOTB rounds while continuing his work with Alpinestars in the MotoAmerica paddock. Oh, and he also recently got engaged. We caught up with a busy Bobby Fong for this week's episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice to talk about the many changes in his life.Support the show (http://motoamerica.com)

Daniel Ricciardo is a current Formula 1 driver for the McLaren outfit and won the Monza GP in 2021. He is also a die hard Motocross and Supercross fan and in this podcast we spent nearly 4 hours diving into his passion for bikes as well as his epic take on some of the best racers on the planet as they get ready to go racing in the AMA Supercross series starting this week. We also talk about his Monza win, life post F1, managing the ego and more. Coming at you live from the Alpinestars 2022 Gear Introduction at Perris Raceway, Jimmy Lewis insults Monster Energy Kawasaki's Eli Tomac then summons bees to attach him. Dakar Rally racers Rickey Brabec and Nacho Cornejo talk about riding rally bikes on a motocross track. We do a little Roost Or Endo. And if Jimmy seems amped up it's because he just got off his Yamaha YZ125 and is waiting to get back on it. So even between riding stints, you can learn something about motorcycle and motorcycle-related products. You really need to listen to this show! Welcome to another episode of The Reserve Tank presented by Progressive. We will discuss how you can be a better road rider, and how to approach the topic of motorcycle education, because at the end of the day we all can learn something new no matter our skill level. Featuring co-host Robert Pandya, the host of our sister show, Centerstand: A motorcycle industry podcast, which dives into the business of the motorcycle industry, and how industry leaders can positively affect change. Our guest is a legendary motorcycle instructor, author, and former Pro AMA racer, Nick Ienatsch. He's also the founder and lead instructor at Yamaha Champions Riding School and strong advocate for all riders that learning how to ride never ends. Key Takeaways: 1. What's stopping motorcyclists from continuing to learn to ride? 2. How can the Yamaha Champions School expand an MSF graduate's rider education? 3. Is there an unfounded fear amongst motorcyclists about track days or going to a track that we can dispel? Yamaha Champions Riding School (YCRS) launched in 2008 at Miller Motorsports Park. YCRS 2.0 launched in 2013 at New Jersey Motorsports Park and still operates there, as well as Inde Motorsports Ranch. In addition, YCRS offers schools annually at Pitt Race, High Plains Raceway, Buttonwillow Raceway Park, Streets of Willow Springs, Carolina Motorsports Park, Palm Beach International Raceway, Homestead Raceway, Arizona Motorsports Park, The Ridge Raceway, and Sepang International Raceway. Yamaha Champions is a leading provider of Level 3 rider training for the United States Marine Corps. They provide a variety of programs, from four-hour street clinics to two-day ChampSchools, and have several OEM groups of engineers who attend on an annual basis. Yamaha Champions Riding is the only Tier-Three recognized MSF school in the country.
