#28 Sam Gaynor from Flesherton, Ontario, has been going through a lot of troubles with his scaphoid injury. From 2, 9-hour surgeries to 10-inch scars on both of his legs, the treatment and his struggle to get back to racing motocross has been long and draining. We called him up and asked him to take us through what it's been like trying to recover from the often career-ending wrist injury normally thought of as "The Ricky Johnson Injury." #84 Tanner Ward from Woodstock, Ontario, crashed at Vision Built Tracks and sustained a few injuries that will take him out of action for a while. He recently signed with Priority MX KTM and these injuries will keep him off the bike forcing him to miss the upcoming 2024 AMO Arenacross Championship in Chilliwack, BC. He spoke to us from the hospital on Thursday, November 7th.
Zach Ufimzeff from Lake Country, BC talks about his recent signing with the growing Guaranteed Comfort Fox Honda team for 2025. He will ride the 250 for the Chris Egan owned team alongside Tyler Shewchyk on a 450. Zach has also been dealing with an unknown illness that has been completely sapping his energy and hopes to have the answers very soon. We talk with Canadian Shelby Turner after her impressive 5th place at the 2024 ISDE in Spain. This conversation was also right after she finished 1-1 at the first 2 rounds of AMA Endurocross where Shelby is a 6-time champion. SHe had both her ACL's repaired at the same time and so she missed racing in 2023.
Well, I guess with technology sometimes these things happen. I lost most of the interviews I did with riders on my GoPro Hero 9 after the 70th annual 2024 Corduroy Enduro in Gooderham, Ontario. When I got home I found that the first big file was corrupt and simply wasn't payable. Fortunately, when I paused the recording and went to look for some of the Pro Women riders to chat with, the files were fine and are here to watch. Brought to you by Race Tech. Honda Canada GDR Fox Racing rider Tyler Medaglia has a busy race schedule this fall. He just raced Round 7 of the 2024 FMSQ Cross-Country series and took the win. He'll defend his title at The Corduroy Enduro this coming weekend before heading over to Spain to represent Canada at the ISDE. We talked about a lot of different things, including his stepping down from Team Canada MXON to allow Dylan Wright to compete while his son, Talon Medaglia, races the Yamaha bLU cRU event at Matterley Basin. Back in 2019, Mike Treadwell, Keith Johnson, and John Dowd joined Mathieu Gervais and Bigwave on the Moto Central Live show from MX Deschambault. Canadian Partzilla PRMX rider Dylan Rempel from Aylmer, Ontario, raced 250 Pro Sport, 450 A, and Open Pro Sport at the 2024 Baja Brawl at Baja Acres in Millington, Michigan. The 17-year-old came away with 1-1-1 motos in the 450 A class and had some other great results. We grabbed him to talk about the event and what the rest of the season looks like as well as 2025.
