Presented by Maxxis and Outhouse Coffee Co. It was a successful weekend for the KTM Group, as Eli Tomac made a winning debut aboard his new Red Bull KTM in Canada, and Malcolm Stewart used his Rockstar Husqvarna to earn the King of Paris Crown in France! We were on hand in Vancouver for the second round of the FIM WSX World Championship Supercross Series, and getting to see Tomac compete on his KTM 450 SX-F for the first time was really something. We talk about that and more, on this week's Kickstart Podcast presented by Maxxis and Outhouse Coffee Co.
Presented by Maxxis and Outhouse Coffee Co. Last weekend, the Monster Energy Supermotocross World Championship Playoffs got underway in Concord, North Carolina, at xMAX Dragway, and severe weather forced the cancellation of the event after the first 250 and 450 motos were run. Four lightning strikes in the area initially halted the event, but the ongoing threat of lightning, plus steady rain and impending nightfall, finally did the race in. For the most part, racers were relieved, but the fans on hand were upset, demanding refunds and the like. There is no debating the fact that the race could not have run with the lack of lighting in the motocross section of the course outside of the stadium, and the course was challenging enough without throwing in mud and poor visibility into the mix. Eli Tomac told us after Friday's practice sessions that it was "The sketchiest track I have ever ridden on." Throughout the weekend, the track claimed many victims, including top riders like Malcolm Stewart, Seth Hammaker, Julien Beaumer, and Garrett Marchbanks. Jett Lawrence said after the race that the track had a limit that could not be pushed, and that you had "to take your medicine out there," in the rough conditions. We talk about that, and a lot more, in this week's Kickstart Podcast, presented by Maxxis and Outhouse Coffee Co.!

The Triumph rider on his Achilles injury, why he thinks they happen more often, his new contract, and the path to get here. “I have two younger brothers and it was just my mom by herself, with a house payment, so whatever I made racing went back to help the family.” How well do you know Jalek Swoll? Malcolm. Do we need to say more? Not really. Malcolm Stewart's first-ever 450 Supercross win came last Saturday night in front of his family and friends at the Tampa Supercross. And it couldn't have been sweeter. The younger Stewart brother started the race around 10th and set blistering fast laps and methodically chased down his rivals before taking the lead as he pressured race and championship points leader Chase Sexton into a mistake in the whoops, the area of the track in which the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider was phenomenal. Malcolm's win came exactly 20 years after big brother James' first premier Supercross win, forever earning the brothers a place in the record books as the first siblings ever to do so. We talk about that, and a whole lot more, in this week's Kickstart Podcast. Enjoy!
