Whew. Was that the ugliest blow out victory in Alabama history? Alabama fans were on edge until well in the 4th quarter of the game against South Florida. Where was the dominant offense that was on display against Western Kentucky? Why couldn't this team establish the run or... well anything at all? AL.com beat reporter Matt Stahl joins host Ben Flanagan to discuss the issues Alabama had on O-line and what fixes Kalen DeBoer will have for his team ahead of the Wisconsin game on Saturday. There are things to improve but, hey, at least we didn't lose to Cal at home! Later in the show, Alabama legend and ESPN analyst Roman Harper joins Beat Everyone to share the surprising reason why he's glad he played for Mike Shula and NOT Nick Saban. And, trust us, you don't want to miss his prediction for when Alabama will win its next championship. Badgers, we can't help it that you're next on the schedule. We're here to beat everyone. Welcome to Beat Everyone, AL.com's new home for the conversations Bama fans are having right now. In the debut episode, host Ben Flanagan is joined by AL.com college football columnist Michael Casagrande and producer Matt Scalici for a frank discussion about the changing culture at Alabama. How does Kalen DeBoer's philosophy compare to Nick Saban's? Does he have full control of this team yet? They also address the ridiculous "Husky Harsin" comparisons coming from Auburn fans and then are joined by Beat Everyone producer John Hammontree for a quiz about how much the world has changed since Mike Shula stepped down. Then, Ben is joined by former Alabama quarterback John Parker Wilson for a conversation about how he navigated a coaching change as quarterback, the early days of the Saban dynasty, the 'call me' celebration against LSU, the moment he first saw Julio Jones take the field, the hardest hit he ever took in practice, plus a whole lot more. It's a new era for Alabama fans, but we still have one expectation: Beat Everyone.
We're onto the sweet 16 with some upsets, Mike Shula is coming back to the SEC as an analyst, Kadyn Proctor is coming back to Alabama, Trevor Etienne got arrested after being at Georgia for a few months and can Alabama's defense show up against North Carolina?

WNBA – Griner freed: WNBA star swapped for Russian, heads home American basketball star Brittney Griner is heading home, freed from Russian prison in exchange for the U.S. releasing notorious Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout. Thursday’s dramatic action was the culmination of an eight-month saga of high diplomacy and dashed hopes. But the U.S. failed to win freedom for another American, Paul Whelan, jailed in Russia for nearly four years on espionage charges that his family and the U.S. government say are baseless. The swap comes at a time of heightened tensions over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. And it has brought unprecedented attention to the number of what the U.S. considers wrongful detainees. Minnesota used a 15-3 run to pull within 40-28 with 3:15 left in the first half but McDaniel ended Michigan’s nearly four minute scoring drought with a long 3-pointer and the Wolverines led 47-31 at the break. McDaniel scored nine of Michigan’s 17 points to start the second half for a 21-point lead. And Jett Howard scored five straight Michigan points during a 12-2 run for a 76-47 advantage. McDaniel scored nine of Michigan’s 17 points to start the second half for a 21-point lead. And Jett Howard scored five straight Michigan points during a 12-2 run for a 76-47 advantage. McDaniel scored nine of Michigan’s 17 points to start the second half for a 21-point lead. And Jett Howard scored five straight Michigan points during a 12-2 run for a 76-47 advantage. In the First Hour, Sandy and Shawn react to some of the fan reaction to Teddy Bridgewater's lack of an attempt to make a tackle on the Fumble Six for the Eagles on Sunday which leads Sandy and Shawn to have the discussion on what better coaching looks like which Vic Fangio said he and his coaches need to do. Sandy and Shawn go over why the Broncos elected to go one more year with Vic Fangio as Broncos Head Coach but also say that the Broncos can absolutely move on from Fangio and Shurmur now and promote Mike Munchak to Head Coach and Mike Shula to Offensive Coordinator for the remainder of the season. Sandy says why the Broncos are unlikely to make the move and by his own admission it isn't a good one but the unfortunate reality of this season for the Broncos is it is once again another Lame duck season” for the Broncos. As the Denver Broncos prepare for their first season under General Manager George Paton, there are many players and coaches who enter the season having the most to prove. Cody Roark analyzes which players on the offensive side of the ball, the defensive side of the ball, and coaching staff have a lot riding on how 2021 goes for them. As Drew Lock embarks in a quarterback competition in training camp, he's one player who has a lot riding on how he performs. Melvin Gordon is entering the final year of his deal and wants to make Denver his home, but will the addition of Javonte Williams increase Gordon's pressure to perform? Courtland Sutton is coming off of an ACL injury and doesn't necessarily have anything to prove to fans or the media, but perhaps himself and overcoming the mental hurdle after ACL surgery. On the defensive side of the ball, both Von Miller and Bradley Chubb have a chip on their shoulders as Von enters the final year of his contract, and Chubb enters a contract year ahead. Kareem Jackson returned on a one-year deal, but could he be in play for an extension after this season? In terms of the coaching staff: Mike Shula, Pat Shurmur, and Vic Fangio have the most to prove regarding the Broncos offense and for Fangio, having a winning record for the first time since he's arrived in Denver.Denver Broncos: Players and Coaches with the most to prove in 2021 | Locked On Broncoshttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8KxsM2xSTTHKJOH6JDT7fwWANT MORE DAILY DENVER BRONCOS CONTENT?Follow & Subscribe to the Locked On Broncos Podcast on these platforms…

All Things Bama Podcast host Tyler Martin is joined by former Crimson Tide wide receiver Matt Caddell on today's episode to chat about his recruitment, career, and the most memorable play of his time in Tuscaloosa - a game-winning touchdown catch against Arkansas in 2007 with only seconds remaining on the clock. Caddell was a member of the Alabama program from 2003-2007 and caught 86 passes for a total of 1,135 yards and five touchdowns. He takes a look back at what led him to the Capstone and what going through multiple coaching changes was like in his career going from Dennis Franchione to Mike Price to Mike Shula then Nick Saban. The McAdory High School product takes a trip down memory lane where he details the final drive of the Crimson Tide's matchup against Arkansas in 2007, which resulted in him hauling in a touchdown pass from John Parker Wilson to beat the Razorbacks in Saban's first ranked SEC win as coach at Alabama. Caddell also gives his expectations on what the Crimson Tide will do in 2020 with a conference-only schedule and, if he was still a player, would he feel safe playing in a pandemic.
Host Tyler Martin is joined by former University of Alabama defensive tackle Rudy Griffin for a special edition of the All Things Bama Podcast. Griffin played at the Capstone from 2003-2005 and was a starter during the 2004 and 2005 campaigns that saw Alabama have the No. 1 defense in the country back-to-back years. He finished his Crimson Tide career with 33 total tackles, two fumble recoveries, and one interception. He earned SEC Player of the Week honors in 2005 for his efforts against Mississippi State in Alabama's 17-0 win that season. During the show, he goes into great detail how he got to Tuscaloosa exactly. Griffin started his college football career at the Citadel, where he was a two-year starter from 2001-2002. After joining Alabama's practice squad in 2003, he earned a full scholarship from former coach Mike Shula in the spring of 2004. He discusses what his relationship with Shula was like and how instrumental he has been for him, since he has started his own coaching career. Griffin is now in his first season as head football coach at Bessemer City High School in Bessemer, Ala. He also shares the challenges COVID-19 has presented for his team and what his expectations are for them this upcoming season. The show is available on Apple, Google Podcasts, Spotify, and Anchor. Former guests of the podcast include Eli Gold, Chris Stewart, Bryan Passink, Wimp Sanderson, Barrett Jones, Mike Johnson, Cory Reamer, Bradley Bozeman, Will Lowery, Lawson Schaffer, Kolby Robinson, Shaun Dion Hamilton, Jason Caffey, Kenneth Darby, Keith McCants, JC Latham, John Garcia Jr. and more.
