Danny and Brett join me to break down all of the action from the first half of the MLB season and make some predictions for the second half! We start with Brett giving us a recap of his time attending the MLB All-Star festivities, including meeting one of his dad's favorite pitchers. We also compare the in-person experience to the TV experience, and talk about the pros and cons of the swing-off. Then, we get into our first half awards. So many players are having exceptional seasons, but we pick out the best of the best from each league. We get into some good analysis about Paul Skenes' personality, when to make Cal Raleigh a full-time DH, and Zack Wheeler defeating Father Time. We also dish out both praise and critiques to players and teams that have upset us and/or surprised us. We finish up with our division winner predictions. Will the Rockies shock the world? The Oklahoma City Thunder won the 2024-25 NBA title, and who better to discuss it with than the only Thunder fan I know? Former NBA 1st-round pick David Harrison comes through to talk about why he thinks the lack of post play in today's NBA could be why casual fans aren't as passionate about the game. We discuss the bigs he admired when he was growing up, what was going on in the paint when he was in the league, and when things started to shift to a more perimeter-oriented game for players of all sizes. David also tells me which current NBA big men are certified in the post and whether or not he thinks we'll see a return in back-to-the-basket play.  David also talks about his life, playing career, and what he's been up to since he stopped hooping. He tells me what it was like being involved in the Malice at the Palace just a handful of games into his career, why a coach drove him from the game, and how an article about a job he took didn't paint him in the best light.
