Cette semaine, Addycyclette s'est trouvé un petit boulot d'aspirant alchimiste auprès d'un grand maître des potions dans un petit jeu de cartes facile à prendre en main mais au défi difficile à relever. Octokom quant à lui s'est trouvé une petite expérience japonaise mêlant jeu de tir et madames peu habillées, apparemment c'était très chutil ! L'instant culture est à nouveau animé par notre Mister Culture du moment, à savoir ce cher Ikson qui va finir son histoire sur la vie de Yoko Taro, papa entre autres des jeux Nier. Ich spreche mit Arnold Rauers (Tinytouchtales) über Game Design. Arnold ist schon sehr lange ein (wirklich) unabhängiger Spieleentwickler und bekannt für Gnomitaire, Maze Machina, Miracle Merchant, Card Thief, ENYO und Card Crawl. Es war spannend zu hören, wie er an Game Design herangeht, Probleme löst, coolness antizipiert und warum analoge Versionen seiner Kartenspiele nicht so eine gute Idee sind.

Wer auf seinem Smartphone oder Tablet in den jeweiligen AppStore schaut, wird von der schieren Auswahl an Spieletiteln förmlich erschlagen. Häufig führen Casual Games mit free2play und schwindelerregenden Umsätzen die Charts an. Auch einige PC Umsetzungen finden sich hier, wie GTA Vice City, Panzer Corps oder Tropico (das auf Daniels altem Ipad Air leider nicht mehr läuft) oder die Monkey Island Special Edition und Shadowrun Returns Trilogie, die mit dem Sprung auf 64 Bit aus den AppStores verschwunden ist (ein Skandal für sich, den wir irgendwann auch einmal behandeln müssen). Doch zwischen all den populären Titeln finden sich auch erfolgreiche Kleinode in ihrem Nischen. Meist mit einfacher, aber stilechter Präsentation und einem poliertem Gameplay. Eines dieser kleineren Studios ist Tinytouchtales, dessen Kopf Arnold Rauers in den letzten Jahren einige veritable Hits für die mobilen Geräte veröffentlichte.
