The year is 2005. Lindy Nesbit, a former pillar of her community, has gone missing. The only clues to her whereabouts are in the ruins of the KD station, once a bustling slaughterhouse turned mall before a mysterious fire closed the building down. Things are not what they seem. This week we reflect on what it really means to invest in your team—beyond payroll, bonuses, or budgets. From traveling for competitions to origin trips and team dinners, we talk about how creating experiences, connection, and shared memories pays dividends that can't be measured on a spreadsheet. Investing in people isn't just money out; it's energy in, the kind that builds culture, loyalty, and long-term impact. At its core, this episode is about the ripple effect of care. When you show people they matter through opportunity, trust, and small moments of generosity, that energy comes back through better hospitality, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of purpose. The real ROI isn't just retention or performance—it's a team that feels seen, inspired, and proud to carry the vision forward.
The spontaneous story slammers who drop their name at every show have scattered their seed randomly throughout the season. At SLAMMER OF THE YEAR, standout story picks from our latest flagship and late-night seasons gathered together like freshly harvested baskets of fruit. Studio guides Jessica Holmes and Patti O'Hara each cultivated teams of five top-ranked story slammers to lead them to market. They first take turns planting seeds on the prompt SOW. Then the audience voted one team's crop of stories through to harvest on the theme REAP. At the end of the show, only one storyteller blooms fully with the winning title of Slammer of the Year.
It never fails to surprise me how much stuff there is to talk about. Roma is already locked in on False Alarm, we've got new nurgle on the horizon, plus the Everwinter Nights League. And then some random thoughts.
Subconscious Realms Episode 300 -Shadow: Reap What You Sow - Ray Sutherland - PT1.Ladies & Gentlemen, On this Episode of Subconscious Realms it was a True Honour to be speaking speaking with a fellow British Native, who's also from North West England, a rare delight indeed!!Our Guest, the Author of "Shadow: Reap What You Sow" - Ray Sutherland. For PT1, Ray goes deep into his fascinating story & the Wild Journey that lead him to create Shadow.....*Book overview*SHADOWReap What You Sow!Is the beginning of something bigger than a fantasy series. It's the opening chapter of the VevéVerse — a world that stretches across generations, continents, and even the spirit world. At its heart, though, it's a story about memory, justice, and reclaiming what was stolen.I wrote this book as both a father and a teacher, but also as someone who once couldn't read or write when I left school. The VevéVerse grew out of that struggle — and out of a promise I made to my daughters to leave them a legacy that carried truth, dignity, and hope. Too often, the Caribbean and Voodoo are reduced to caricatures or fear. Here, they are given back their depth. Their beauty. Their power.Through characters like Shadow — a mystical figure caught between judgment and mercy — these stories wrestle with vengeance, balance, and redemption. They weave together ancestral magic, history, and spiritual philosophy into something that feels both timeless and urgent. The VevéVerse is for the forgotten. For the misrepresented. For the resilient. It's for every voice that history tried to silence. And this is just the beginning...*Ray has very kindly offered the digital PDF book version of;- Shadow
A Prayer to Reap What You Sow Peace is one of the deepest longings of our hearts, and yet it can feel just out of reach—especially in strained relationships. In today's episode by Brooke McGlothlin, we explore how true wisdom is shown in the way we live and get along with others. It’s not always easy—just like tending a garden takes sweat, patience, and perseverance—but sowing peace is always worth the effort. God promises a harvest of righteousness for those who keep planting seeds of reconciliation, dignity, and honor. Reference: James 3:18 Prayer: Father, give me and my family the desire to do the right thing, even if the favor isn't returned, sowing seeds of peace in the dark, troubled places of our lives. Over time, Lord, we pray that you will grow those seeds, produce fruit that glorifies your name, and produce a harvest of righteousness in your people. In Jesus' name, amen. There is a principle in life that the Bible teaches called the law of “sowing and reaping.” It's particularly true for Christians who have a choice about whether they will feed their spirit or their flesh. The spirit is that part within us that is redeemed and eternal; the flesh is unredeemed and temporary. The spirit wants to please the Lord, and the flesh wants to gratify the sinful nature. If we nurture our spiritual nature we will reap eternal life. But if we nurture our fleshly nature, we will reap destruction. Follow along today as Pastor Gary teaches the Biblical principle of sowing and reaping and how it applies to different aspects of life.
Robert Breaker preached at the Bible Believer's Camp Meeting in Sweetwater, Tennessee on September 2-4th, of 2025.
Where do you want to be 10 years from now? Randy asks powerful questions that help you think about your future in faith, family, health, and more. He reminds us that what we do today shapes the harvest we'll see tomorrow. This isn't just about next year, it's about the next decade. If you don't plan, you'll end up somewhere you don't want to be. But if you choose wisely now, you can build the life you dream of.
So many say they’re glad they came to Christ for forgiveness of sin and only wished they’d done it sooner. You don’t hear many say, “I went back to partying and drinking and waking up with hangover – I wished I’d done it sooner.” Few would choose pain and heartache over peace and freedom. In every great story, there's a hero and a villain. Some do many great things, but talk very little about them. Some do few great things, but talk a lot about them. Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg Laurie presents a contrast between Mordecai and another man named Haaman. They both appear in the story of Esther. One is a good man and gets little recognition – the other, an evil man who’s angling for great recognition. But today, as the story continues, the winds of change blow, and these men get their “just desserts.” Listen on harvest.org --- Learn more and subscribe to Harvest updates at harvest.org A New Beginning is the daily half-hour program hosted by Greg Laurie, pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Southern California. God notices everything we do for Him. And Pastor Greg Laurie assures us God never forgets. Friday on A NEW BEGINNING, we see a good example of that in a man named Mordecai. Produce Buzzers - A Podcast for Lovers of Fresh Fruits and Veggies
Can a humble grower of tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers transform lives? One such company makes it their mission. They claim is the secret to their success. Our guest this week is a leader at a fresh produce company that doesn't see its primary mission as growing delicious veggies, even though that's exactly what they do and as good or better than anyone else in the industry. But second to that is this company's vision to transform lives. Does that sound like an audacious goal? Listen in hear their story and you will become a believer. Lori Castillo is Vice President of External Relations and Public Relations at NatureSweet, a grower and supplier of tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. There she leads the company's external voice and ESG partnerships (environmental, social, and governance partnerships) which as the terms imply, are efforts to create sustainability on a wide range of fronts. Tune in to hear how they believe strongly in the old adage “You reap what you sow.” And they are reaping more than delicious veggies!

In productivity terms "You reap what you sow” means that the effort you put into your tasks or projects directly influences the results you achieve. Essentially, the more effort, focus, and hard work you invest in your endeavours, the better outcomes and rewards you'll experience. So, by that reckoning it also means the opposite - if you put in minimal effort or neglect your tasks, you're likely to experience sub-par results and failure.OFFICIAL WEBSITE: https://www.filmproproductivity.com/TWITTER: https://twitter.com/FilmProProdPodFACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/filmproproductivityCONTACT: https://www.filmproproductivity.com/contactINDIE FILM HUSTLE: https://indiefilmhustle.com/ifh-podcast-network-filmmaking-and-screenwriting/YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqo0Zld2Lm2lJDpDh3GsuZgQUOTES:Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant. Hannah also discusses why she doesn't think this diagnosis changes whether he was fit for office or not. Next Hannah discusses the bombshell interim report released this week from the Senate's Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. This report exposed how federal health agencies under the Biden administration suppressed early warning about heart inflammation linked to mRNA Covid Vaccines. Lastly, during the Homeschool Hints segment, Hannah and her mom, Carlotta Jackson, discuss balancing the keeping of the home and the schooling of the children.
