Myndirnar segja sögur af ólíku fólki sem hún hefur fylgt eftir og velur stundir úr hversdeginum, lítil augnablik sem segja stærri sögu. Þórdís kom í þáttinn í dag og sagði frá. Við fræddumst svo um íslenska refinn í dag en Ester Rut Unnsteinsdóttir spendýrafræðingur á Náttúrufræðistofnun hefur rannsakað tófuna um árabil og á næstunni verður haldið málþing á vegum Náttúrufræðistofnunar þar sem verður einmitt rætt um íslenska refinn, sérstöðu stofnsins, svipgerðir, erfðafræði og fleira. Ester sagði okkur frá refnum og málþinginu í dag. Frá árinu 1926 hefur kraftur og fallegur samhljómur einkennt kórinn og í tilefni afmælisins verður heil tónleikaröð í Langholtskirkju þar sem kynslóðabilið verður brúað með aðstoð vinakóra úr íslenska og færeyska karlakórssamfélaginu og stórvirki gömlu meistarana verða flutt auk léttari sönglaga. Stjórnandi kórsins Friðrik S Kristinsson og formaður kórsins Bóas Valdórsson komu í þáttinn í dag og sögðu okkur betur frá tónleikunum og kórstarfinu. Við fórum svo í heimsókn á Þjóðskjalasafnið, en þar tók Helga Jóna Eiríksdóttir skjalavörður og sagnfræðingur á móti okkur. En hún deildi með okkur skjölum sem varðveitt hafa verið frá því að Friðrik 8. Danakonungur kom í heimsókn til Íslands árið 1907. Fyrir litla og fámenna þjóð þurfti að lyfta grettistaki, jafnvel mörgum, til þess að geta tekið á móti konungi og fylgdaliði svo sómi væri að. Helga Jóna fór með okkur yfir þessa heimsókn og sýndi okkur heilmargt merkilegt sem varðveist hefur frá henni. Vigdís Hafliðadóttir söngkona, leikkona, grínisti, handritshöfundur og ýmislegt fleira var föstudagsgesturinn okkar. Hún nam heimspeki við Háskóla Íslands og hefur t.d. leikið í kvikmyndinni Ljósvíkingar, áramótaskaupum og nú síðast í þáttunum Tuttugu og eitthvað, en hún er einnig einn höfunda, en fyrsti þátturinn verður sýndur á RÚV í kvöld. Hún hefur einnig notið mikilla vinsælda sem kynnir skemmtiþáttarins Kappsmáls á RÚV og Vigdís er meðlimur í hljómsveitinni FLOTT sem stofnuð var árið 2020 og hefur svo sannarlega slegið í gegn. Það var um nóg að tala við Vigdísi í dag, en við fórum auðvitað líka með henni aftur í tímann á æskuslóðirnar eins og við gerum yfirleitt með föstudagsgestinum. Svo var það matarspjallið með Sigurlaugu Margréti. Í dag talaði hún um salat og sólskin. Sumardagurinn fyrsti er næsta fimmtudag og sólin hækkar á lofti sem kallaði á salatspjallið í dag, þar sem komu fyrir hrásalöt, majonessalöt og fersk salöt eins og grískt salat. Naturally, photographer Gowen is there to photograph the moment. At the Harvest Fest, magician Lucas is back at it. After his act, he tells everyone he's stepping down as governor at the end of his term. He endorses Mayor Hickam who seems unaware she was even running. This leads to a conversation between Lucas and Edie. He calls her his north star. She's like but I'm gonna be traveling. He asks if she'd need help in New York. And they finally kisssssss. Lee and Rosemary say goodbye to Gwen and she gives them gifts as a thank you. And then all the Benson Hill folks head back home. Angela and Allie are hanging out and Angela points out that it's clear that she and Ollie are both into each other. Allie just smiles. It's proposal time! He was gonna just pop the question while walking but she insists on climbing to the top of the water tower. He proposes and she kinda says yes. Finally, the episode ends with a car pulling up and who gets out? Abigail and she says it's good to be home. The judge says he can't use it. Christopher is their last chance. So Gowen goes on the radio and pleads for him to come and give his testimony. And it works. He comes in. Brings the transformer. And they win! The electric company is guilty! To celebrate, Nathan makes Elizabeth dinner. He's about to propose when Allie runs in. LJ is stuck in a tree! They get him down but he's pissed. He asks her to help find the ring size. They need to get the ring so they can trace it. They have a couple ideas - baking, cleaning, etc. But no luck! Rosemary is ready to rock n roll. She goes into the meeting and gives the performance of her life and the dude wrote down some stuff in his notebook. Allie sees Mei and Mei doing pottery and that gives her an idea - throw a pottery party and get Elizabeth to come and she'll take off her ring. Lee and Lucas are talking over Benson Hill plans when Lee brings up Fernando. Naturally, that leads to him opening up about Edie. Lee gives him some good advice. Elizabeth and Charlotte talk again about the grave site. She opens up about how she's never been before. It's just too hard. At the pottery class, all the ladies take off their rings. Allie recommends everyone close their eyes and really feel the clay. Allie grabs Elizabeth's ring and presses it into some spare clay. So I guess that works. The head of Pioneer Electric arrives at the police station and tells Nathan that he's heard some stuff. So I guess that's good. Afterward, Nathan immediately meets up with Bill, Georgie, and Rosemary and tells them the good news. Bill claims that while it would be better to have Christopher to testify, this gives them a fighting chance in court. In the evening, Bill and Georgie walk through town together. While celebrating the recent success with the investigation, Bill leans in to kiss her. She stops him and tells him she thinks their time has passed, insisting she doesn't want their relationship to turn out like her others did. Bill insists it can be different for them, highlighting that the important thing is that they make each other happy. She admits he makes a good point, and agrees to try under one condition: total honesty. He agrees without hesitation and professes he has always loved her. They share a romantic kiss. They're pissed! Lee goes to Lucas' office with bad news - funds for the Benson Hills rebuild were reallocated. Lucas promises to look into it. Elizabeth, Nathan, Allie and LJ are hanging out when LJ pulls Nathan aside with bad news....he's lost his dad's medal. He promises to help him find it. Elizabeth is talking to Rosemary and Lee about the schoolhouse situation and she has the idea - to have the students help make the design for the new schoolhouse. Lucas calls Edie and Edie tells him about her new position. He asks if she could help with the funding issues. Nathan, Bill and Oliver go out on serious mountie business - searching for the medal, but they still can't find it. Lee shows up to tell the students that he needs their help designing the new school. Lucas and Edie talk more about what to do and they get to work on writing up a proposal. To help LJ learn more about his dad, Elizabeth, Nathan and Allie take LJ to do a scavenger hunt to hear stories about Jack. It all leads to Grandma Charlotte showing up and reading him a letter from his dad. Allie is talking to Oliver and she asks Oliver to help look through Jack's old case files that she could show to LJ. She shows it to Charlotte and she loves it and asks if she can hold onto it for a little bit. Lucas and Edie are on the phone again, working on Lucas' proposal when Lucas begins to tell Edie that he regrets how things went the last time they saw each other and wishes he followed his heart. She awkwardly ends the call. At the schoolhouse, the students present their ideas for the Benson Hills schoolhouse. Rupert and Opal steal the show, open concept and stuff. Lucas loves it and tells them he wants to take the plans to the committee. At supper, Charlotte shows Allie that she created some illustrations to add to her story. Allie loves them and decides it's time to give the book to LJ. LJ loves the gift and begins reading it aloud right away.
