On this week's rerun episode, Mark speaks with Missy Martinez-Stone, CEO of Reprotection, an organization that explores the often overlooked side of the abortion issue - the supply side. Reprotection investigates abortion facilities that break state and federal laws, with the ultimate goal of shutting them down based on their own misdeeds. By partnering with Sidewalk Advocates for Life and Heartbeat International, Reprotection collects critical information to hold these facilities accountable within their own field. Missy explains that to successfully shut down an abortion facility, they must first determine if a violation occurred, who is responsible, and what the protocol for filing complaints is. Additionally, they need strong community support and the willingness of local agencies to enforce the laws. Despite the challenges, Reprotection's efforts have yielded results, closing facilities and saving countless unborn lives in the process. Everyone has been talking about the tragic case of a 10-year-old who was raped, became pregnant, and driven across state lines to get an abortion. Even President Biden referenced her story in public. Multiple ERI followers have asked us how pro-life people can answer questions about this story without sounding like a moral monster. Josh and Emily invited licensed mental health counselor Robin Atkins to discuss the story with us. Our conversation included the rules regarding public discussion of patient information, particularly in CHINS cases, and the damage done if the rules are violated as well as how pro-life people should talk about this story. Robin is a licensed mental health counselor, specializing in reproductive issues. She also has a philosophy degree. She spent four years doing home-based therapy with the Department of Children's Services. She's a pro-life advocate with an atypical perspective on some of the issues surrounding abortion. It took years of efforts by grassroots community members and the pro-life movement, but Pensacola's "American Family Planning" abortion business has FINALLY been shut down by the Agency of Health Care Administration (AHCA). This shut-down is a victory that shows what can happen when those who care about ending abortion take action and state agencies enforce the laws they exist to enforce. Major H/T to Reprotection, which worked hard to bring victory in Pensacola to fruition. Reprotection is working in partnership with SFLA's Campaign for Abortion Free Cities to research and take action against dangerous abortion facilities — and obviously, it's working. Hard work pays off.
Join hosts Karen Garnett and Brett Attebery as they welcome Missy Martinez-Stone, CEO of Reprotection. Learn about the explosive growth of Reprotection, a pro-life watchdog group whose mission is to help local pro-lifers develop a specific and effective strategy to close the doors of the abortion businesses nearest to them, based on the businesses' own misdeeds. Reprotection is currently working active cases involving 50 abortion businesses, and is the official reporting-to group for Sidewalk Advocates for Life and Heartbeat International affiliates. You will be inspired to hear Missy's and Reprotection's story, cited by David Bereit as “the missing link to the pro-life movement,” focused on accountability and enforcement of pro-life laws!
Join Cathie Humbarger to hear her message of hope and desire for the saving of infants, of whom many are facing the death penalty through abortion, unless rescued. Legislation is not enough. Action must be implemented in a way that will help both young and old to know that these children belong to their Creator and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. And that we must get involved to help with their rescue. Hear of Cathie's mission to make our nation abortion-free. Since the ruling of Roe v. Wade, the abortion debate has changed in both everyday conversation and public argument. Guest Cathie Humbarger has dedicated her professional life to involvement and activism in the pro-life arena. In this episode, she shares how the abortion conversation has changed throughout the years and discusses how today's arguments and talking points must adapt to the changes in rhetoric on both sides of the debate. Bio: Cathie became active in the pro-life fight over 30 years ago, when a friend shared an abortion experience with her. She was blessed to walk with her friend through the healing process. Cathie was also privileged to serve on the founding board of A Hope Center, the first pregnancy resource center in Fort Wayne, Ind. Her passion over the past 30 years is to save as many babies and mothers as possible, remembering that the Lord reached her through the broken heart of a young woman who chose abortion in her crisis pregnancy. In her role as Vice President of Policy Enforcement for Indiana Right to Life, she organized a team of Indiana Right to Life affiliates near free-standing abortion facilities to enforce administrative code and laws to bring about the closure of three abortion facilities in Indiana. This statewide coalition has also gathered evidence, filed complaints, and provided information to authorities that resulted in disciplinary action against three abortionists and the indefinite suspension of the medical license of an abortionist responsible for over 50,000 abortions. Cathie also served for 17 years as the Executive Director of Right to Life of Northeast Indiana, currently serving as Director of Public Policy to prevent abortion businesses from opening and advocating for unborn boys and girls and their mothers in the Indiana Statehouse. She also has the privilege of serving as Director of Public Policy for Safe Haven Baby Boxes. She founded and continues to co-host “I Choose Life News & Views,” a weekly 30-minute radio program focusing on life issues. The program has aired on several stations for over 15 years. In January of 2020, Cathie was named CEO of Reprotection, Inc. charged with the mission of making our nation abortion-free by closing abortion businesses one at a time. Following the strategy she used to close three abortion facilities operated by the notorious abortionist, Ulrich Klopfer. Cathie is a native of Columbus, Ind., and currently resides in Fort Wayne, Ind., with her husband Rick. She is the mother of three children, has fourteen grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.
