Could the 14th Amendment summon the end of Roe? Joining the IFI Spotlight this week is Dr. Steve Jacobs with the Illinois Right To Life. Dr. Jacobs is the program director for IRL and has graduated with a law degree from Northwestern University School of Law and PhD from the University of Chicago. IFI's Monte Larrick and Jenna Smith ask Jacobs about his firm belief that Roe will be overturned in June, and the evidence backing him up. "The mere fact that they allowed the Texas Heartbeat law to go into effect, which essentially renders Roe no longer good law in this nation. . .if they allowed that law to go into effect, they would allow similar legislation in each of the fifty states to go into effect." Jacobs continues to state that as "Roe stood for the proposition that states could not restrict abortion access before viability," and the Texas law is restricting abortion at the detection of a heartbeat, Roe is now void.

In September of this year, the Texas Heartbeat bill went into effect. The battle for life is on a fast track to the supreme court. This week I had the opportunity to interview a man very involved in fighting for the value of life, Joel Patchen. Joel is the author of five books including the “ Who Am I” bible study, a comprehensive overview of the value and dignity of life from the biblical perspective. Joel's life was radically changed after 40 days spent with his daughter, Brooke, in a neonatal intensive care unit. His daughter challenged everything he thought he knew about life, abortion, and the value of the human person. As an educator and the son of a Christian minister, Joel thought he had a pretty good handle on life. But he was wrong! Life was so much more than he knew. During the winter of 2002/2003, life took on a new dimension for Joel. His daughter Brooke was born at 29 weeks gestation, almost three months before her due date, on December 13, 2002. Her arrival changed Joel's life—He would never be the same! During the next 39 days that she lived on earth, he witnessed firsthand her development. He had the privilege of watching Brooke and the other babies ranging from 24 to 38 weeks gestation grow and mature in plain sight. This was the first time in his life that he faced the concrete reality of fetal development and life in the womb. His experience with these children, who should still have been in the womb, completely refuted the lies in our culture concerning preborn babies. As he watched the medical staff care for these little ones, it gripped him that several other children at this stage of development are aborted in our country every day. It was after this revelation and experience with Brooke that he began my journey to actively defend the preborn and fight against abortion. Abortion clinics in Texas rushed to abort as many babies as they could prior to the deadline for a recently enacted fetal heartbeat bill. According to far-left media outlet 19thnews.org, a Whole Women's Health clinic in Fort Worth last week had a waiting room packed with expecting mothers who wanted to terminate their unwanted pregnancies. The bill passed last month bans abortions after 6 weeks, or after a fetal heartbeat is detected. The 19th gave a sympathetic depiction of the abortionists who ended the babies' lives: It was 8 p.m. on Tuesday when Marva Sadler looked at the patients waiting in the lobby, at the list of patients waiting to return, at even more patients waiting outside in cars surrounded by protesters — and realized they might not get to everyone. In four hours, a near-total ban on abortions in Texas was set to take effect, and two dozen people were still waiting for the procedure at Whole Woman's Health in Fort Worth, one of the largest abortion care clinics in the state. The article discussed how abortionists at the clinic calculated exactly how many babies they could legally murder before the Texas bill went into effect, and went about doing so by aborting babies non-stop til midnight. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/global-reportage/support

Do you know which side you're on?Too many Christians are unintentionally funding the other side. Today we'll talk with Robert Netzly about the realigning your portfolio to do Kingdom work, specifically in the area of abortion. Robert's the CEO of Inspire Investing.Think of them as our intelligence unit for keeping track of what the other side is up to and helping us plan strategies for winning the war of values-based investing. The Texas Heartbeat bill bans abortions as early as 6 weeks, greatly thwarting abortionists. Inspire Investing's intent is to make this known to investors. There are other, more effective ways to make your voice heard than by merely decided not to do commerce with pro-abortion businesses. These companies have to know why. As a faith-based investor, reach out and engage companies as a shareholder. Inspire Investing does a lot of shareholder engagement in this area and offers the ability to search your mutual funds or ticker symbols of your stocks so as to see if there's exposure to the abortion industry. Finally, know what you own since you're a steward of what God's given you. Take this seriously. You can then take steps to either sell in favor of products that are more in line with Biblical values. There may be companies in your portfolio supporting abortion and you may not even be aware of it. On May 19, 2021, the Texas Heartbeat bill was signed into law as a group of mostly white men watched. The Texas ban on abortion after six weeks will save an estimated 50,000 lives annually, but the abortionist community still believe abortion is a about women's health. In this episode we dig into the idea that abortion, the arguments for abortion (women's health, rape, and incest), and the reasons the democratic party may be committed to the idea of abortion when it is in contradiction to the facts. This past week the state of Texas passed a bill that was a huge win for the Pro-Life movement. In this episode, we talk about the bill, the opposition to it, and also about new tactics from the Pro-Abortion position. This new tactic makes the claim that personhood is what deems a human being with the right to life. The Pro-Abortion position is now making a distinction between a human being and a human person. We need to be prepared for this tactic, so in this episode, we give you an easy-to-remember argument that will keep you prepared to show how personhood cannot be separated from human biology. We hope that this episode will equip you to stand for life and to be an advocate for the most vulnerable and marginalized members of our society, the unborn. On September 1, 2021, the Texas Heartbeat bill went into effect, banning abortions as soon as cardiac activity is present in an unborn child—around six weeks gestation. The bill also allows private citizens to sue and enforce the new law. Opponents of the bill appealed to the Supreme Court for an emergency stay and the Court denied relief, allowing the Texas law to go into effect. Quite possibly the most random selection of subjects ever discussed on a Bandofla episode, but that is how we roll. Well, BREXIT needs to be discussed because only now people are beginning to see just how f*cked our economy and distribution infrastructure is. We will also highlight some more really didgy interviews by Government Ministers (but nothing new there). A special mention is given to two awesome charities: Show Racism the Red Card and Communication Workers Union Humaniterean Aid. We get a personal message from the honorary Show Racism Red Card President Shaka Hislop and we also hear from Lenny Crook on his epic 21-mile hike for CWUHA. Then we move across the Atlantic to report on the awful Heartbeat Bill, which will see almost all abortions banned in the state of Texas. Surely it is a woman's choice to make right? We will be throwing a bit of football into the mix as we report on the news that after three games Spurs have a maximum 100% record and are yet to concede a goal and their north London rivals are also 100% after three games and yet to score in 270 minutes of football. Spurs sit proudly at the top of the league and Arsenal are showing their strength by holding up everyone at the foot of the league! Don't worry Arsenal fans it is still early days! #HeartbeatBill #Texas #Cyprus #Larnaca #PCR #Arsenal #ShowRacismtheRedCard #WRD21 #CWUHA #CWU #DominicRaab #ShakaHislop
The Supreme court rules correctly on a technicality in the Texas Heartbeat law, the left goes bonkers, and the law will probably not hold up. Pat takes calls from a few incredible Patheads on this lovely Friday. There are multiple protests against mask mandates led by students going on in Colorado. The Texas heartbeat abortion law is a win for pro-life conservatives, but it's complicated - and the battle against Roe v. Wade is far from over. Krista Kafer, candidate for Littleton City Council, joins Ryan to discuss the fallout. Jen Psaki attempts to 'own' a male reporter, but alienates transgender people in the process. Ryan details more on why President Biden has always been a bitter, cold, calculated swamp creature - and is just revealing more of that to the world now, in the wake of the Afghanistan exit fiasco.

Charlie is joined EXCLUSIVELY by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton for an in depth discussion about all things Texas in one of the state's busiest legislative sessions in decades. Starting with the Texas Heartbeat pro-life bill that has the entire leftwing abortion establishment losing their collective minds, AG Paxton walks through exactly how the bill was crafted to pose an unprecedented legal conundrum for the Supreme Court, which is why they allowed the law to go into effect in a historic 5-4 ruling. Charlie also brings up Texas' new open carry law, the states' lawsuit with Google, the border wall, MPP, and of course election integrity. Texas is back to leading the nation in conservative principles and we're here for it. Keeping Texas red, don't miss this exclusive discussion with Texas AG Ken Paxton. We start off with some good news: A heartbeat bill takes effect today, which empowers citizens to sue doctors who perform abortions after around six weeks. Naturally, this has the Left up in arms. Hilariously, they think that this bill makes the GOP comparable to the Taliban. We discuss the slippery morality that allows progressives to be pro-abortion, then we transition into discussing the latest data on vaccines, mask-wearing, and why vaccine passports are tyrannical and help no one. --- Today's Sponsors: Annie's Kit Clubs provides a fresh way to dive into your favorite craft or try something new.
