In this gripping episode of Bible Streams, we plunge into the intense and awe-inspiring visions of Revelation 15 and 16. Join Alex, Jo, and Chris as they unpack the seven bowls of God's wrath, the sea of glass mingled with fire, and the climactic cry of “It is done!”.We start with the heavenly prelude in chapter 15, where the saints stand victorious, singing the song of Moses and the Lamb. We explore how this worship sets the tone for the final judgments, drawing powerful connections to the Exodus story and God's covenant faithfulness. Things heat up as we move into chapter 16, with each bowl pouring out escalating plagues—from festering sores to a cosmic earthquake that shakes the very foundations of creation. The hosts dive into the meaning of 'Armageddon' and the drying of the Euphrates, pondering what these images meant to the early church and how they speak to us today. With lively banter and a nod to Old Testament echoes like the plagues of Egypt and the prophecies of Ezekiel, this episode brings clarity to the chaos of divine justice. We wrap up by reflecting on the hope beyond the havoc—how the un-creation of the old world paves the way for the new heaven and earth. He does this to prepare one for the next two chapters, 17 and 18, in our coming lessons. Open your Bible and turn with us to the book of Revelation chapter 16. Here is our teacher, Dr. Mitchell.
Welcome to the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast with Dr. John G. Mitchell.Dr. Mitchell be exploring Rev. 16 verses 10 thru 21 concerning the last 3 bowls of the wrath of God. They are Bowls 5 thru 7.In this day of God's grace, it is still not too late to turn to God and believe in His Son, the Lord Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come. Have you trusted Christ for your salvation from sin and the wrath to come? If not, please do!Here is Dr. Mitchell, Revelation 16:10-21.
Our study in the Book of Revelation brings us to chapter 16 verses 4 thru 9.Your are listening the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast with Dr. John G. Mitchell.Welcome and thank you for studying along with us.As we heard Dr. Mitchell read these verses, we will be learning about the pouring out of the third and fourth bowls of the wrath God.We find out that the third bowl from the angel afflicts the water of the earth so that, like the plague in Egypt, all water turns to blood. The fourth bowl strengthens the power of the sun so that it shines brighter and hotter. This results in people being scorched with an extreme heat.Dr. Mitchell sheds light from other prophetical scriptures on these two bowls of the wrath of God which God brings upon the world of the unbelieving earth dwellers.Turn with us to Revelation chapter 16 verse 4 with our teacher, Dr. Mitchell.
Welcome to the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast study in Revelation 16 verses 1-3.These verses deal with the severity of the bowls of wrath administered by God's holy angels. Dr. Mitchell points out that this first bowl of wrath is poured out upon the entire earth but is limited to just the worshippers of the beast. Unlike the 6th trumpet judgement that was limited to only a third of the population, this first bowl judgment is worldwide upon every one who bore the mark of the beast and worshipped it's image. Then, the second bowl of wrath turns the entire ocean into blood. Every living soul of the things in the sea died. These judgements are very real and literally take place from the hand of God upon earth. Aren't you glad, you who know Jesus Christ as savior, that we are delivered from the wrath of God, both now and then because of the propitiation of our Lord Jesus Christ? Here is Dr. Mitchell, Revelation 16:1.

What truly matters in your life? In this deeply reflective episode, we examine how our daily choices reveal our actual priorities, creating either strong foundations or inevitable collapse.Looking at faith and marriage through the lens of consistency and investment, we consider how the mathematical reality of "putting in the hours" applies to our most sacred relationships. Using an unexpected analogy from Kobe Bryant's training philosophy, we explore how small, daily investments compound over time, creating either unshakeable strength or revealing devastating neglect. Our scripture readings journey through divine judgment in Revelation, where even amid consequence, hearts remain hardened, contrasted with David's beautiful Psalm 51 – perhaps the most profound prayer of repentance ever written. These passages challenge us to examine our own hearts: Do we resist correction or embrace it? Do we hide behind excuses or seek true redemption? The conversation takes a sobering turn as we confront abortion as America's modern moral crisis, drawing parallels to our historical reckoning with slavery. When Representative Henry Hyde declared that human dignity comes "upon creation, not upon birth," he articulated a principle deeply embedded in our founding documents. How we treat "the least of these" ultimately reflects how we would treat Christ himself.Through historical accounts from Fox's Book of Martyrs and reflections on America's revolutionary period, we see patterns that might prepare us for challenges ahead. The committees of correspondence that unified the colonies might offer a model for believers seeking connection in an increasingly fractured world. What priorities are shaping your life today? Joel and Lynn Rosenberg dive into a compelling discussion about China’s role in biblical prophecy and the end times. Drawing from Revelation 16, Joel unpacks what it means for China to be a “prototype of the tyrannical Antichrist society” and explores the idea that China could lead the coalition known as the “kings of the East” in the prophetic battle of Armageddon. The conversation covers the signs of the last days, China’s persecution of Christians, and the miraculous growth of Christianity within its borders despite overwhelming oppression. The Rosenbergs also highlight the geopolitical challenges posed by China and encourage listeners to pray for the persecuted church, for America’s leaders, and for wisdom in facing these end-times realities. “I don't want a God that just says, ‘That makes me angry.' I want a God that's Wrathful.”
Revelation 16:1-21 16:1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple, saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.” 2 So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth; and a harmful and painful sore afflicted the people who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image. 3 The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood like that of a dead man; and every living thing in the sea died. 4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of waters; and they became blood. 5 And I heard the angel of the waters saying, “Righteous are You, the One who is and who was, O Holy One, because You judged these things; 6 for they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink. They deserve it.” 7 And I heard the altar saying, “Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.” 8 And the fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given power to scorch people with fire. 9 And the people were scorched with fierce heat; and they blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they did not repent so as to give Him glory. 10 And the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became darkened; and they gnawed their tongues because of pain, 11 and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pain and their sores; and they did not repent of their deeds. 12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates; and its water was dried up, so that the way would be prepared for the kings from the east. 13 And I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs; 14 for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the entire world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty. 15 (“Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and people will not see his shame.”) 16 And they gathered them together to the place which in Hebrew is called Har-Magedon. 17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl upon the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple from the throne, saying, “It is done.” 18 And there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since mankind came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty. 19 The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give her the cup of the wine of His fierce wrath. 20 And every island fled, and no mountains were found. 21 And huge hailstones, weighing about a talent each, *came down from heaven upon people; and people blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, because the hailstone plague *was extremely severe. How should we respond when we read of God's wrath in Scripture? Revelation 16 confronts us with the sobering reality of divine judgment, but it also reminds us of the matchless grace found in Christ. In this sermon, Pastor Mark walks us through the seven bowls of wrath in Revelation 16, highlighting their precision, their connections to the Old Testament, and the escalating call to repentance. God's judgment is never random or excessive—it is measured, just, and righteous. And in contrast to the hard-heartedness described in this passage, we are invited to humble ourselves before the Lord and find shelter in the grace of Jesus.

Title: The Bowls Preacher: Mark Dever Series: What Will Finally Happen? Passage: Revelation 16:1-21
God's judgment against sin is certain, but those who trust in Jesus need not fear it — their sins were already judged when Christ died on the cross.

Steve Wiggins of GroundworksMinistries.com is sharing a devotional from the New Testament book of Revelation, Chapter Sixteen.
In Revelation 16:1-21 the bowls of God's wrath are poured out. In this final expression of the judgment of God the dragon, beast, and false prophet, the counterfeit Trinity, are overthrown. As was prophesied throughout the OT, there will be one last final battle where the enemies of God's people are put down once and for all. Such is the significance of the battle of Armageddon.

In Revelation 16:1-21 we read of the record of the bowls of God's judgment. What do these bowls signify? Pastor Grasso explains their connection to the trumpets and the way in which these bowls point to the final judgment.
[Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and amazing, seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is finished…] Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.2 So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful sores came upon the people who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.3 The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing died that was in the sea.4 The third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they became blood. 5 And I heard the angel in charge of the waters say,“Just are you, O Holy One, who is and who was, for you brought these judgments. 6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. It is what they deserve!”7 And I heard the altar saying,“Yes, Lord God the Almighty, true and just are your judgments!”8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire. 9 They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory.10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish 11 and cursed the God of heaven for their pain and sores. They did not repent of their deeds.12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east. 13 And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. 14 For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty. 15 (“Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”) 16 And they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.17 The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, “It is done!” 18 And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake. 19 The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered Babylon the great, to make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. 20 And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found. 21 And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.1.
