Also, leftist musician Richard Marx calls for Rick Schroeder to shut his mouth on Twitter, after Schroeder expressed support for the Canadian truckers in a video on the platform. Finally, animal rights advocate and author Carol Adams draws raucous laughter in the serious setting of Oxford Union Debate in England, with some flaming hot takes on meat-eating being linked to misogyny and white supremacy.

In this episode, hosts Alan Sanders and Walt Murray sit down with Tom Shinall, the Business Development Manager for the new Savoy Automobile Museum. The museum is slated to open in Fall of 2021 and will be a world class automotive museum. Tom Shinall talks with us extensively about the research they did first. Many car museums are someone's collection. After seeing it a few times, there isn't anything new. Savoy will plan to have rotating galleries to always have fresh and new themed exhibits. But, that is just on the inside. The car culture is so pervasive, there are tens of thousands of car clubs. The grounds of Savoy can hold up to 1000 vehicles for massive car shows to take place outside. The museum is under the same management group that owns the Booth Western Art Museum and Tellus Science Museum. Both are Smithsonian affiliates and are world class museums themselves. As we wind down our museum discussion, we talk about our first cars and what car we would like to own today if money were no object. Alan then throws in a curve about favorite Hollywood car each would like to own. The hosts then get Tom to go through some of his background and how he went from a broadcast journalism degree to business development manager for a new museum. The show then moves onto a horrible movie Walt was forced to watch and review. Afterwards, they each bring out a pair of crazy news stories to share with the audience. The show then winds down with the entertainment segment. WATCHING Walt found the Tubi App and then watched the documentary series, The Fighting Season. It's a show from Rick Schroeder, documenting our fighting troops in the Middle East. Alan is closing in on the end of season one of classic Star Trek. The two episodes he most liked in the last week were Space Seed, with Ricardo Montalban, and Errand of Mercy, with John Colicos. READING Walt is still reading, "Running with the Devil." Alan ran across a blog post entitled, "The 25 Conversation Starters for Married Couples,' as part of his research for a different podcast. LISTENING Walt reminds us all we should be subscribed and listening to Radio Labyrinth. He also really likes, Holy Crap It's Sports with Pete Davis. Alan has been streaming the score to The Queen's Gambit. He also puts in a plug for the podcast he and his wife started called, The Marriage Fit Podcast. This episode we interview writer, producer, and director Thomas J. Churchill.About Thomas J. Churchill:he Steps Daddy, The Amityville Harvest, Big Freaking Rat, The Hard Way, Nation’s Fire, Xenophobia, The Rack Pack, Checks Point, The Emerging Past, Lazarus: Apocalypse, Mr. Hush, and Devoured. A multi-award-winning writer, director, producer who founded Church Hill Productions, Churchill was born in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, raised in Queens, New York. Churchill was a runner up for a film entitled, The Champ. Although the part went to actor Rick Schroeder, this did not discourage Churchill. It was his sophomore year in High School when he convinced his father to buy him a full-sized VHS video camera so he could make his vision come to life. The War Master, a film about two teenage cops fighting the drug problem in their neighborhood went on to win several local awards. Churchill convinced a few local video stores to carry his films as rentals to the neighborhood. Several newspapers The New York Daily News, New York Newsday, The Ridgewood Times and The Queens Tribune carried stories on Churchill. He went on to write/produce and direct other neighborhood films such as; Intrigue: The War Master (1989, a follow-up and another award-winning film), The Fear of Pain (1990, his first-ever Horror film), Emerging Past (1991 concept version) and A Distant Society (1994, his first Drama) These films taught him how to tell a story and most of all how to start something and finish it. Churchill would test his skills once again with another version of The War Master. This was the biggest budget of all the so-called neighborhood films. A System Devoured aka Devoured put Churchill through the test of being creative utilizing a very low budget. He entered it in the New York City Independent International Film Festival and won Best Video in 1999. Besides, millions of viewers tuned in to watch Churchill on The SyFy Network’s Monster Man, a reality show that showcased Churchill in episode #2 titled - The Forbidden Werewolf.

Mighty Blue On The Appalachian Trail: The Ultimate Mid-Life Crisis

The Appalachian Trail is a test for hikers at any stage in life and many people hike their own hikes vicariously through their family members. One of our listeners, Rick Schroeder, sent me an email to thank me for our podcast. While doing so, he mentioned that his son, Silas, had just completed a thru-hike if the trail in September. I was immediately interested in talking with Silas, as his Dad shared some of the changes in Silas that had taken place during his recent adventure. I was not disappointed. He proved to be an articulate, intelligent guest, with a strong sense of family, both trail and parental.        Silas would love to catch up with any friends he met on the trail and shared his email, silaseschro@gmail.com, for people to contact him directly. Additionally, he's got a bunch of pics from his hike on Instagram under @silas_schro. He has a blog and a YouTube page with just a couple of videos, so click the links as appropriate.       Doctor Lynne gave us some really valuable information about hypothermia, nearly all of which was entirely new to me. Well, okay, it's a pool movie, anyway. And just as Mars Callahan's directorial debut vacillates between Farrelly brothers-style comedy and over-cranked melodrama so too does my commentary shift from poolroom subculture nitpicking to a slightly more charitable assessment of the script. Along the way, I take time to marvel at the surplus of supporting characters, sigh at the zany plot contrivances, and gripe about the film's inconsistent ethos regarding the N-word.
