Lord Golden leads the way into a dinner with Lady Bresinga, Civil, the Graylings and their daughter Sydel, and the huntsman. The journey from Buckkeep leaves time for Laurel and Fitz to get to know one another. Fitz is reunited with Nighteyes along the journey to Galeton, and the party receives a royal welcome. Lord Golden drops and the Fool makes an appearance before the charade continues, which reinvigorates Fitz in their hunt.

Waking up befuddled, Fitz finds himself in a whirlwind of preparation for Lord Golden and his trip to Galeton to retrieve Prince Dutiful. Fitz, as Tom Badgerlock, takes care of some chores before they depart. The third day with the Fool starts with Fitz becoming claustrophobic in his small life, longing for more. Nighteyes speaks about getting older, and he runs off. Fitz is forced to rush to his side later, as the wolf starts choking. An academic paper might even be published. Since the effect is now known to more than just the original discoverer of the anomaly, one would have to buy before others do to generate abnormal profits. Now, prices start to rise in November. But the next group of investors, recognizing this was going to happen, would have to buy even earlier.As you can see, the very act of exploiting an anomaly has the effect of making it disappear, making the market more efficient. The feud between President Trump and Fed Chair Powell is really a fool's errand. Neither can possibly know what interest rates should be, simply because interest rates are derived in the marketplace. Price fixing, by either the Fed or the President, always ends us creating economic malaise. The Fed should not exist because there's no way to properly fix prices, and counterfeiting is unconstitutional and immoral. The current posturing between fails to get us closer to ending this anti-American institution.

In this episode, I share: The Illusion of Wealth & Invisible Abundance- How Financial Independence often means accumulating invisible wealth through investments and assets rather than cash, making people feel “broke” despite growing net worth. Sacrifices and Trade-Offs – The journey to FI requires cutting back on spending, which can feel restrictive and lead to burnout if not balanced with enjoying life. "Each Level Has Its Devil" – Reaching FI doesn't magically solve all problems; new challenges arise, such as financial decision fatigue, fear of running out of money, and identity shifts. Uncertainty in the Journey – Life circumstances change, making FI goals fluid; focusing on financial flexibility rather than a fixed number is more sustainable. Eulalie Spence (1894-1981) was a playwright, director, and teacher from the British West Indies. She made a living as a school teacher, a profession she stayed in for 40 years, but truly made a name for herself by winning awards in several theater competitions. As a self-described “folk dramatist,” her plays depict everyday Black life. This led her to gain criticism from contemporaries like W.E.B. Du Bois, whom she was in the famed Krigwa Players with. She authored some fourteen plays, five of which were published, including “Episode,” “Fool's Errand,” “Her,” “The Hunch,” and “Undertow.” Her works continue to be studied and performed today.
