Emily Scott Robinson is our guest for Episode 193 of The Marinade! NPR has said of her, “With her pure, bracing vocal set against an achingly somber piano, Emily Scott Robinson doesn't marinate in misery so much as summon the strength to venture up to a precipice and stand at "the edge of something wild.” Yep! That's Emily. She's a skilled songwriter who is dedicated to her craft, a powerhouse singer, and a really fun conversation partner! I have wanted to make this conversation happen for years and am so grateful for the opportunity. We caught up via Zoom recently- her from her home in Colorado and me from a hotel room in Chattanooga, Tennessee, during my third annual Grounded Summer Tour. President Trump's curse word. Scott Robinson joins the conversation.
Freedom is ours to enjoy. Yet, do we feel free? If truth will set you free, how do we connect in with our truth? What is truth even? Our guest this episode is Scott Robinson, a senior lecturer with the Academy of Applied Movement Neurology & creator of Neuro Flexibility. A master healer & a mind aligned with both truth & limitlessness, Scott works directly with the mind, with the brain & the nervous system, as well as the subtle energetic anatomy to achieve balance, not only in the governing systems of the body, but across the whole experience of life. Finding your truth!Via the integration multiple healing paradigms into a singular holistic approach aimed at optimising nervous system function, as well as upgrading the subconscious programs of the mind, Scott's work aligns: - The mind with the core truth of the individual's being & purpose, as well as aligning the nervous system in such a way as to meet with the requirements of any individual accessing their very best life. A curious child, growing in a disciplined home, religion didn't seem to fit right. Why are there all these "He's" & what if "He" is simply "Divine Oneness"? Years as a professional international athlete, the win or lose mindset with the competitive environment of "me against you" was a powerful dynamic in the field during Scott's successful athletic career. We dive into The Story of Me and what led Scott from a physically intensive training and high performance environment with the Science of the Brain & Body as a key to winning, to working with neurology, the subconscious mind & energetic detox to affect profound life changes. In Scott's words; "The brain is a prediction machine. It seeks the familiar, known, the expected, because it craves safety through certainty. But real transformation doesn't happen by reinforcing what you already know. To manifest the limitless you must first step beyond the known."A deep dive into Mother board of the Brain over his early career led Scott to many discoveries and implementation of successful techniques. Following his intuition to uncover missing links in potential results led him to experience Reiki in his quest to step beyond the known...and to Spirit.Next level upgrade in all that is in the hemispheres of The Brain Guy's toolkit - unlimited miracles! His curiosity we shall say, has led him to ask many many questions...What if there were no decisions in my mind?Where do you want to get to, your true self? And finding the answers...Your true self is always available!True healing is transcendence!Peace is the guide to truth!Sit back and relax or perhaps, set out on a beautiful walk to move your body as you integrate the gloriousness shared by Scott as we flow into the consciousness of each of the 70 trillion cells within your beautiful body & being.Much love & joyAmanda & Jo xxGirl AwakeningMore about Scott Robinson here:Scott shares healing wisdom, truth & scientific understanding towards accessing one's: greatest health, very best life & true limitless capabilities via 1:1 & group healing experiences, courses, retreats, podcasts & presentations.Scott's most recent work is his courses; A course in Freedom and Limitless Manifestion, both of which are Limitlessly changing the lives of others by sharing truth and miracles and can be accessed though the zapp link. www.thebrainguy.co enquiries@thebrainguy.coIG @the.brain.guyFB @the.brain.guy YouTube @The.Brainguy Website - https://zaap.bio/thebrainguy#girlawakening #girlawakeningpodcast #girlawakeningyoutube #awakening #divine #divinefeminine #divinemasculine #soulawakening #neurolgy #fillyourcup #truth #intuitive #reiki #duality #alignment #divinetiming #source #intuitivehealer #brianscience #subconsciousmind #soulgrowth #brainhealth #athlete #stayinyourlane #grounded #limitingbeliefs #spirit #neuroplasticity #neuroflexibility #duality #consciousmind #fearbased #miracles #mindovermatter #acim #acif #limitless

"With a quarter million miles under her belt and counting, North Carolina native Emily Scott Robinson travels the dusty highways of America's wild country, capturing the stories of the people she meets and expertly crafting them into songs. Robinson received critical acclaim for her debut album Traveling Mercies-- Rolling Stone named it one of the “40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2019.” In 2021, Robinson signed with Oh Boy Records, the label founded by the legendary John Prine, and released her follow-up album "American Siren." It made numerous “Best of 2021” lists including NPR, Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, and No Depression." (emilyscottrobinson.com) I've been wanting to have ESR on the show for a while, and when I learned she was playing a show with a couple of my friends at the end of 2024, I made them ask her for me! She said yes, and here we are. Robinson currently resides in Ouray, CO, and tours the US and UK consistently. Recently, she supported Ron Pope for a run in the UK. During our conversation, we chat about traveling logistics out of a small town (tisk tisk Southwest!!), her life changing experience at Song School at Rocky Mountain Folks Fest in Lyons, CO, and her decision to buy an RV and travel as a full time musician in her 20s. You know, that feeling you get when time seems limitless, your creative juices and ideas are free flowing, and your energy is buzzing at a higher vibration. Has it felt like forever? Well if so, you're going to love today's conversation. My special guest today is The Brain Guy - Scott Robinson and he's simplifying how to get into the flow. He believes in one simple truth: whatever you are looking to achieve in life, it's your brain and your nervous system working together that control your life's outcomes. Therefore, when you tap into your subconscious mind (which accounts for 95% of your total brain processing), you unlock a higher intelligence that'll help you quickly and easily transform stress, resolve trauma faster, and get back to thriving. So, more joy, satiated contentment, pleasure, and abundance on a deeper level… These are all the things you can experience when you get in the flow. Here's how. My all-star special guest today is Scott Robinson and he's simplifying how to get into the flow. We tackle and simplify all aspects of it, including: How he defines “flow state” and what's actually happening in your brain when you're “in the flow” What effect stress has on the brain and the body and how to spot it Athletes train to achieve “high performance” - he shares what he has learned whilst working with them, specifically with understanding the brain as the “control center” in conjunction with the nervous system …and ultimately, he talks about the subconscious mind: what it is, how it works, and (finally) understanding that it is governing your actions and (in my words) your “1000 daily choices.” When you do, you can change your life for the better. Bottomline, when we achieve flow state, our life is buzzing with possibility. I'm thrilled to share this conversation with you and look forward to hearing what you think about it all soon! Q: Are you ready to get into the flow? If yes, this one is for you.
