God wants to use you to make a difference in this world. We often list reasons why He can't use us. But, hopefully, this has helped you to see that God isn't looking for perfect people to serve Him - He's looking for willing, obedient servants. He can take care of the rest.

Scripture frequently uses the word fruit to describe something that should be in the life of a believer in Jesus Christ. Fruit is evidence of the work of Christ in a person’s life. It would be easy for us to wonder, “Does it really matter if I live a fruitful life as long as I don’t live a wicked, immoral life?” The answer is yes it does matter.

Organizations spend millions of dollars developing a logo that is immediately recognizable and makes people think about their products. What would we think if companies used instruments of death for their logo’s? Yet this is exactly what Christianity did with choosing the cross. Why would Christianity make the cross it’s symbol or logo? It's because they understood the meaning of the cross.

We make choices every day. Some choices really don’t matter very much. This morning I had to choose what to eat for breakfast, what clothes to wear, and which tie to put on. None of these were really life changing decisions. Other choices are very significant and can have long term affect on our lives. Do I go to college, if so where? What career do I choose? Who will I marry? Where will we live? These can be life-changing choices. Then there are choices we make that matter for eternity. This passage calls us to make just such a decision.

Halloween is a time for everyone to dress up and pretend to be someone, or something they're not. In reality however, this occurs every Sunday in churches throughout the land.
