In this episode, Lyndsay Soprano sits down with clinical herbalist Bonnie D'Arcangelo to talk about trading burnout for balance, and why the answers might be growing in the ground, not sitting on a pharmacy shelf.Bonnie shares her journey from a high-stress corporate life to a deep-rooted holistic healing practice, and how she now bridges the gap between science and herbal medicine to help others reclaim their health. They delve into everything from gut health and water quality to why many supplements fail to work and how, when approached with intention, nature can offer genuine solutions. This isn't about ditching Western medicine—it's about complementing it. Bonnie introduces cutting-edge tools like silicon plasma technology, while also breaking down the basics: better food, cleaner water, and tuning in to what your body's been trying to tell you all along.Tune in if you're ready to stop chasing quick fixes and start working with your body, not against it.Find Bonnie D'Arcangelo Online Here:Website: www.aetherbal.comInstagram: @aetherbal_topicalsFacebook: AEtherbalYouTube: AEtherbalFind The Pain Game Podcast Online Here:Website: thepaingamepodcast.comInstagram: @thepaingamepodcastFacebook: The Pain Game PodcastLinkedIn: Lyndsay SopranoYouTube: The Pain Game PodcastEpisode Highlights:(00:00) Introduction to Blending Science and Herbal Medicine(02:30) Bonnie's Journey from Fashion Design to Herbalism(10:15) The Importance of Gut Health in Healing(18:45) Understanding the Role of Water in Our Bodies(25:00) Overview of Plasma-Based Products(33:10) The Power of Herbal Oxymels and How to Make One(42:00) Final Thoughts on Personalized Healing and Wellness
When “Normal” Doesn't Work: Rethinking Data and the Role of the SOC AnalystMonzy Merza, Co-Founder and CEO of Crogl, joins Sean Martin and Marco Ciappelli to discuss how cybersecurity teams can finally move beyond the treadmill of normalization, alert fatigue, and brittle playbooks that keep analysts from doing what they signed up to do—find and stop bad actors.Merza draws from his experience across research, security operations, and leadership roles at Splunk, Databricks, and one of the world's largest banks. His message is clear: the industry's long-standing approach of forcing all data into one format before analysis has reached its limit. Organizations are spending millions trying to normalize data that constantly changes, and analysts are paying the price—buried under alerts they can't meaningfully investigate. The conversation highlights the human side of this issue. Analysts often join the field to protect their organizations, but instead find themselves working on repetitive tickets with little context, limited feedback loops, and an impossible expectation to know everything—from email headers to endpoint logs. They are firefighters answering endless 911 calls, most of which turn out to be false alarms.Crogl's approach replaces that normalization-first mindset with an analyst-first model. By operating directly on data where it lives—without requiring migration or schema alignment—it allows every analyst to investigate deeper, faster, and more consistently. Each action taken by one team member becomes shared knowledge for the next, creating an adaptive, AI-driven system that evolves with the organization. For CISOs, this means measurable consistency, auditability, and trust in outcomes. For analysts, it means rediscovering purpose—focusing on meaningful investigations instead of administrative noise. The result is a more capable, connected SOC where AI augments human reasoning rather than replacing it. As Merza puts it, the new normal is no normalization—just real work, done better.Watch the full interview and product demo: https://youtu.be/7C4zOvF9sdkLearn more about CROGL: https://itspm.ag/crogl-103909Note: This story contains promotional content. LIBERTY Sessions with Nada Jones | Celebrating women who do & inspiring women who can |
Irene Chen is the co-founder of Parker Thatch, a California-based functional luxury accessories brand. With a background in fashion product development, including roles at Donna Karan and Calvin Klein, Irene brings decades of industry experience to the brand she co-founded with her partner and husband, Matthew Grenby. Together, they have grown Parker Thatch from its origins as an e-stationery company in 2001 to a profitable, eight-figure business known for its stylish and functional handbags, like the Charlie carryall and the Mimi tote. A key moment in the brand's journey came in 2015 when handbag legend Kate Spade, a former customer-turned-mentor, encouraged the duo to focus on handbags and accessories—a decision that would propel the company's growth. Irene is passionate about building a brand that resonates with women across generations, offering functional luxury with customizable options that meet the needs of self-expression and modern life. Irene and Matt reside in the Bay Area with their two children, Parker and Thatcher. In today's episode, Nada talks with Irene about the original Parker Thatch handbag design, and the local dry cleaner that kick-started the brand we know today. Irene's enthusiasm is contagious and provides just the dose of energy you need to kick-start whatever's next for you. To find out more about Parker Thatch, check out their website. We talk a lot about recognizing when our pets are becoming more stressed. But what about when they're calming down? In this episode of Enrichment for the Real World, Emily Strong walks you through a practical and insightful skill: identifying your pet's ladder of de-escalation. It's the crucial flip side to recognizing escalation, and it is just as important for supporting your pet's full stress recovery.Emily breaks down a six-step process to help you recognize when your pet is moving toward relaxation and how to tell the difference between “just coping” and “truly relaxed.” From self-soothing behaviors to the difference between “resting” and really resting, this episode is filled with tips, common mistakes to avoid, and why you should absolutely film your dog sometimes.TLDL (too long, didn't listen): 3 Key Takeaways1️⃣ The Ladder of De-Escalation Matters – Understanding how your pet moves down from stress is just as important as knowing how they go up.2️⃣ Six-Step Observation Process – Learn six steps to better observe and interpret your pet's body language. 3️⃣ Film and Repeat – Every animal is different, and context matters. Whether your pet is overwhelmed by the doorbell, a new houseguest, or the invisible ghosts that apparently live in the laundry room, having a safe space can make a world of difference. In this episode of Enrichment for the Real World, Emily and Ellen break down why safe spaces aren't just cozy corners—they're essential tools for helping our pets (and us!) navigate stress in all its forms: tolerable, chronic, and toxic. You'll learn what makes a safe space effective, why avoiding stress isn't the goal, and how breaking this concept down into smaller teachable skills can help your pet learn to self-soothe. Plus, you'll get actionable tips on using your pet's senses to create the ultimate comfort zone for them. Join Ellen for a 5-week safe space deep dive! Learn how to implement all the skills in this episode and more in At Ease: Safe Spaces for Home and On-The-Go!TLDL (too long, didn't listen): 1️⃣ Stress Happens, Let's Plan for ItWe can't eliminate stress, but we can give our pets the tools to handle it better, starting with a safe space.2️⃣ Safe Spaces = A Combo of SkillsAn effective safe space is more than a dog bed in a quiet room—it's the result of layered training, observation, and support.3️⃣ Customize It to Your PetFrom preferred relaxation spots to sound and texture preferences, your pet's unique needs should shape their sanctuary.Links & Resources from the Episode
Had an AHA or Insight? Share it:Quantum leaps aren't magic—they're intentional. Dr. Nona Djavid shares the 4-step process to shift your energy, expand your identity, and leap into rapid business growth. Ready to stop playing small?Every now and then, I meet someone who reframes everything I thought I knew. That's exactly what happened when I sat down with Dr. Nona Djavid for this episode of the Business Growth Architect Show. We explored something you've probably heard about—quantum leaps—but I promise you, not like this.Nona has this way about her, where she combines her background in neuroscience with her experience as a multi-7-figure business owner. And she talks about it, like it's no big deal to get there. She definitely got my attention. She shares how she started with just $300 and made a decision that most would call crazy—she invested two-thirds of it into a mastermind. Never mind food or shelter… But that decision wasn't reckless. It was intentional, energetically aligned, and rooted in her belief. In our conversation, she walks us through the four steps that made her leap not only possible, but inevitable. Listen to the interview and find out what they are. What I appreciated most is how deeply she understands the energetic dynamics at play in business. We talked about how hustle culture has hijacked our success, how many of us are operating from wounded masculine energy, and how both women and men are burnt out from chasing someone else's version of success. Especially in this avalanche of uncertainty it's easy to feel like you're doing all the “right” things but still not moving forward. That's why we are talking about this. Nona's approach is honest, intelligent, and full of heart. If you're ready to move beyond burnout and build a business that's aligned with who you really are, please don't miss this episode. And if you want to go deeper, she's offering a free 90-minute training on the exact quantum leap framework we talk about here. Just reach out to her and mention the Business Growth Architect Show: Founders of the Future.

Most people live in the "just enough" zone—asking for the bare minimum they think they can get. But what if the key to extraordinary success lies in making unreasonable asks? In this electrifying episode, April dismantles the fear holding you back from demanding what you truly deserve, sharing jaw-dropping stories of bold requests that changed lives (like Siri Lindley training with Olympians, or Mike securing a $50M loan). You'll learn why someone half as qualified as you will outearn you today simply because they asked for more, and how to reframe rejection as a stepping stone. Key Takeaways:

A masterpiece of movies, On the Waterfront, came out 70 years ago, and this week the writer Stephen Rebello reveals how the classic film almost did not get made due to a feud between Marlon Brando and director Elia Kazan. Then John Beck reports on foreign diplomats who turn to bootlegging, drug dealing, and more in order to keep the lights on at their consulates. And on the subject of foreign affairs and cloak-and-dagger exploits, Aatish Taseer joins us from Tokyo with an incredible yarn. It's the story of how, in the 1990s, the Iranian government traded a painting by Willem de Kooning for a priceless copy of an illustrated manuscript—and how the secret buyer of the painting was David Geffen.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

SERIES 3 EPISODE 38: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:50) SPECIAL COMMENT: I have existential doubts about hell. But truly, I now hope there is one and I hope if there isn't one I hope they make one, just for Trump. He did it Saturday in Wisconsin and then just in case you missed it he did it again yesterday in Pennsylvania and guess what? America's news media - when it is has never been more urgently needed, failing, collapsing, cowardly protecting only its own money - America's news media, in its death rattle before Trump extinguishes it, or with its own near-complete lack of courage, it extinguishes itself Trump did it again yesterday in Pennsylvania and the media MISSED IT. This psychopathic, criminally insane narcissist; this damaged, malignant, diseased, dysfunctional, hallucinatory, drooling, demented, reptile-brained, and ultimately and perhaps most importantly, this STUPID slime slandered the mental capacities of the President and Vice President of the United States. And how was that covered by our bleeding, bankrupt, almost dying news media? Like they hoped to be covering Trump in hell. Bloomberg said Trump "sharpened his criticism on border security." The Guardian called these "Harris barbs." Reuters said Trump "escalates harsh rhetoric." On and on and on. I cannot say this more clearly to the political journalists of this nation. The English language is full of… words. Words that actually DESCRIBE what JD Vance once aptly called Trump peddling quote “cultural heroin.” Words that MEASURE his deceit. Words that QUANTIFY his inhumanity. Words that will NOT get you fired and words that will not get your cowering bosses sued. Learn them. Use them. Because if you don't, you will die with me in the Trump camps. ALL of the bleak histories of the dictators of this world include that same chapter. If you cannot summon courage on behalf of your nation or your profession, summon it on behalf of saving yourselves. AND NOW WE MOVE TO CBS NEWS which says no, it will not fact-check the candidates at its Vice Presidential debate tomorrow. Even as Vance devolves into a compulsive or perhaps congenital liar. I have a piece of advice for my old MSNBC colleague and professional friend of 25 years, Co-Moderator Norah O'Donnell. You have nothing to lose and a country to save. Ignore your bosses. Fact-check anyway. Emulate Edward R. Murrow - not Jake F'ing Tapper. B-Block (26:18) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS: I think I have some insight into the RFK Junior story that everybody else understandably missed. There has been a throwaway line in one account that refers to the contemplation of a "medical leave" for Olivia Nuzzi. I think that's the key to everything. But more importantly, I can finally explain my gratitude to her, and celebrate the great thing she did for me: (34:34) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Because it's Stevie Day - the anniversary of the day I got my first dog, Stevie (more correctly - the day she adopted me). And finally, FINALLY, I can tell the story without pulling any punches because of course the girlfriend who led me into the world of dogs - Stevie's Mom - is Olivia. C-Block (54:00) POSTSCRIPTS TO THE NEWS, PART II: The saga of the arrival of Stevie rather improbably includes... Rudy Giuliani? And the small matter of the remodeling of my mind and life.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Did you know September 25th is National One-Hit Wonder Day? Well, neither did we, but since we now know it's a thing, we created this episode. Did we invite friend of the show, Craig Rosen onto the podcast because Steve Rosen, the creator of One-Hit Wonder Day was unavailable? Possibly, but Craig does give us his unique perspective on the songs. What constitutes a one-hit wonder artist? We don't know, but we do know a hit when we hear it, so please enjoy our salute to 80s one-hit wonders! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
