Do you know that science is only just now proving things that the Bible has said for millennia? Things obey words! At it's most subatomic level, everything in existence is made of microscopic particles called "quarks". A quark is the foundational structure of all matter - or everything that is seen. Quarks are not stationary, they are constantly vibrating. Even solid matter like a table is constantly moving and vibrating. When applied, ENERGY changes the vibration of the quarks that make up a matter. The energy produced by a microwave acts on the quarks that make up food, causing their vibration to speed up. This produces heat, and the result is heated food. A refrigerator's cold air slows down the vibration of food's subatomic particles which causes it to last longer or even freeze. WORDS are energy, and word-energy changes the subatomic vibration of matter. That's why Jesus told us to SPEAK TO the mountain and to SPEAK TO the sycamore tree (Mark 11:23, Luke 17:6) and they would obey us. The mountain and tree represent any obstacle, hindrance or problem we may face. Jesus promises us that when we speak TO the obstacle, hindrance or problem, that is WOULD obey us. Why? Because our energy-filled words are working on that thing at its subatomic level and the "matter" has to respond to the energy we are applying to it. Isn't that GOOD NEWS?! It doesn't matter how small you think your faith might be - even if you think it's only as big as a mustard seed - start speaking TO your problem! Whether it's emotional, financial, relational, or physical, tell it what it has to do and know that it HAS to obey you! Jesus (and science!) say so!

There seems to be a plethora of sources declaring this is a fortuitous moment in history. History is filled with stories of fortuitous moments being squandered as well as being seized. While I fully agree this is an historical moment for the United States of America and for the world; I do not believe it is a foregone conclusion. It is not an historical moment just because we have seen a change in the Oval Office and a change in the governing party in White House, Senate and Congress. Those changes may help facilitate the fortuitous opportunity but they are not the guarantee this moment will be ceased. President Donald Trump acknowledged in his 2017 inaugural speech that every human being is created by Almighty God. “And whether a child is born in the urban sprawl of Detroit or the wind-swept plains of Nebraska, they look up at the same night sky, they fill their heart with the same dreams, and they are infused with the breath of life by the same almighty Creator.” He declared, “There should be no fear - we are protected, and we will always be protected. We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement and, most importantly, we are protected by God." (My emphasis) He went on to say, “These are just and reasonable demands of righteous people and a righteous public…” It is wonderful that he acknowledges God’s creation of the human race and his divine protection. It is important that he understands the significance of righteousness in a culture. If this invocation by our President is going to move forward from his inaugural address and become reality, the people of this nation must come into obedience to the Word of God. That is not the responsibility of the President, the Senate, the Congress, or the Supreme Court. That responsibility rests firmly at the door of the Church! Yes, the President must lead with godly fear, a righteous heart, and justice. But it is incumbent upon the Church to ensure the President is receiving godly council and instruction from the Word of God, so he can lead in harmony with and in obedience to Almighty God. The Senate and the Congress must make legislation that is just and righteous and does not violate the precepts and principles of God’s Word. It is required of the justices of the Supreme Court to judge by absolute truth. They must ensure the Constitution of the United States is enforced. They must also be certain it does not violate the principles and precepts set forth in the Word of God. Again, it is the responsibility of the Church to teach and to train the children and the men and women of this nation in the truth of the Holy Scripture so they can be men and women who legislate by the truth of God’s Word and who are capable of discerning and applying the principles of God’s Word and the ways of God to the Constitution and the laws of this land. We must seize this fortuitous moment. That will only happen if the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ rises to the occasion and leads this nation into a spiritual awakening that will empower the moment! Do you understand this is not a political issue? This is not a Democrat or Republican issue. This is not a liberal, a conservative or a progressive issue. This is a spiritual issue. Our President and his cabinet; the Vice President and the Senate; the Speaker of the House and the Congress may lead out of their collective wisdom and their political cunning. Through that they may lead America and the world into some measure of change and hope. We will end in the same quagmire and legislative gridlock that has led this nation and the world into this age of economic fog and moral dark ages. No dear ones. If we are to seize this moment given into our hands by Almighty God we must do it God’s Way; based upon God’s Word; empowered by the Holy Spirit, directed by the Holy Spirit and disciplined by the Holy Spirit. Anything less and we will miss this opportune time. Israel was given a grand opportunity. God gave to them the most unexpected leader. He came with a vision, the authority and the provisions to rebuild the walls of the city and to restore the economy of the nation. He faced great opposition. There were demonstrations and every attempt to stop Him. This leader was a man of prayer and he had a great godly spiritual leader beside him. Nehemiah and Ezra called the people together and read the Word of God to them. The spiritual leaders instructed the people in the principles and precepts of what was being read, so they could understand and make proper application. A great spirit of revival began among the people. The reading and teaching of the Word of God brought the people to conviction of sin. Confession and repentance followed the conviction and immoral behavior was abandoned. Spiritual awakening was realized and the historical moment was seized. Danger and destruction were facing Judah and their new king. Radical terrorists were ruling in Assyria. They had conquered Israel to the north and now they were threatening Judah. The new king turned to the Lord. He ordered the house of God to be repaired and proper worship be restored. He commanded the priests and the Levites to do what was necessary to renew their spiritual lives and their walk with the Lord. He gave the spiritual leaders the authority and the opportunity to lead the nation in true worship of the Living God. Great revival came to Judah and the radical terrorists were defeated. The United States and the world are standing at the threshold of this fortuitous moment from God. The parallels with Israel and Judah are obvious. The question remains: Will we seize this moment? The answer is not so much dependent upon the political leaders and the powers of Washington as it is upon the leaders of the Church and the born again believers. Will we seize the moment? Nothing defined the difference in the political campaigns of this last year more than spiritual attitude of the two candidates for President. The one demanded the Church conform to the culture and embrace pro-abortion, the LGBT agenda’s and the belief that Muslims and Christians worship the same god. The other candidate reached out to the Gospel preaching pastors of this nation, sought their council, and acknowledged that true change will only happen when the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is influencing and changing the culture of nation; not embracing the culture of a sinful nation. Instead of nullifying the influence of the Church, we now have the opportunity to make a difference. Almighty God has hit the reset button and given the Church another opportunity to bring spiritual awakening and transformation. We must seize the moment. Here are 4 ways we can seize this moment in American history 1. We must take out Book of all Ages and preach it without compromise. Enough with motivational speeches and pop psychology from the pulpits, in the classes and home groups. Read the Word of God. Teach it and preach it without compromise so the Word of God can bring conviction of sin in the heart of the people. 2. Teach the people how to accurately apply the principles and precepts of the Word. Teach them the moral absolutes; train them in the “ways of God” and the wisdom of God. Lead them to true repentance and confession of sin. Help them turn away from the things God hates and to live in “true righteousness and holiness.” We must fully embrace “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God maybe complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). 3. Wait on God until the Holy Spirit infuses every aspect of ministry. Call for pre-service prayer times and nights of prayer and truly pray! Seek the Lord for His presence and His glory to fill everything you do and every area ministry. 4. Seek God until there is a new day of Pentecost. There was a reason Jesus told the Apostles to wait in Jerusalem until they were clothed with power from heaven. “You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8). We will never change America and the world with mere intellectual impartation. The Apostle Paul declared, “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God” (1 Corinthians 2:4-5). We have been given an historical moment and great opportunity. It is in our hands now. We must not be slack or complacent. We must be diligent and passionate. Click here to download this podcast Israel was in a kairous moment. It was the time appointed by Heavenly Father. It was a fitting and the specific time God had appointed for their visitation. Yet, they failed to grasp the opportunity set before them. Indeed, most seemed completely blind to what was happening. They continued to run their shops, curse the government, meet their buddies at the bar, bet on the games, and take care of their families. History has proven that mankind has often missed God's visitations. He is visiting us again. Will you miss God's visitation? The religious and political leaders continued their game of politics; pushing and shoving for a better position and a bigger slice of the pie. Serious threats were straining the tenuous relationship with the Roman Prefect because of the zealots; particularly the zealot out of Galilee. He was a Nazarene portraying himself to be a prophet of God. The very thought was offensive! But large crowds were following him and he seemed to be persuading them with his new doctrine and his stunning ability to make them think miracles were happening. They seemed oblivious that the man standing before them, teaching on the temple steps and on the mountainside was the same one who had astounded them when He was twelve years of age. His grasp of Scripture and His ability to open the understanding of the common man, combined with the authority of His spirit and word, astonished the crowds but angered the spiritual leaders and the politicians. They had no idea this man was not the ordinary zealot or self-proclaimed prophet. He was God in the flesh. Even more curious was the inability of the Pharisees, Sadducees and priests to grasp the moment and to know the true identity of the man with the level of knowledge they possessed about the promise of Messiah and His coming. How is it possible for them to miss the timing and fail to see the Son of God when He stood in their very presence? The answer to that conundrum is the great danger being faced at this very moment by the church in the United States of America. The Pharisees, Sadducees, lawyers and priests of Jesus’s day were blinded by their preconceived notions, messianic charts, and political rhetoric. Their spiritual senses had been dulled by their secret sins, their form of godliness with a calloused spirit, their personal ambition, and their spiritual snobbery. The general populace was too busy trying to survive. They loved seeing the miracles and hearing the messages of hope spoken by this new prophet. It was great fun talking in the market place about his criticism of the Pharisees and Sadducees and their hypocrisy. But who had time to take seriously his call to lay down your life and follow him? It was the very few religious leaders, like Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea, who dared humble themselves and truly grasp the moment. Although thousands ate His miracle meals and saw the blind eyes open and the dead raised to life only one hundred and twenty faithfully waited in prayer for the “promise of the Father.” I wonder how many in America today will get past the political rhetoric and hear the voice of the Holy Spirit? I wonder how many pastors, professors and denominational leaders will turn off the “talking heads” and silence the news anchors to hear what God speaking? How many Christians will turn away from the riot scenes on their television and stop listening to the anger of their family members, co-workers and neighbors and let God show them what He is doing in America right now? It is not about Democrat or Republican. It is not about the haves and the have nots. It is not about the popular vote and the Electoral College. As significant as those things are… and they do hold significance, their great importance will only be realized if we can see how God is working at this critical juncture of American history. Three of the most politically charged times in modern U.S. history were seasons God was doing something far greater. The Crisis Point Of the Modern American Church The turn of the century was politically charged with progressivism, woman suffrage and racial inequality. God was about to address all of these social ills and political issues by pouring out His Holy Spirit. It all began in 1896 at the Schearer Schoolhouse near Camp Creek in Cherokee County, North Carolina. A congregation, led by a holiness preacher began to experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit with speaking in other tongues. This stunning work of God was also ignited on the west coast of the United States ten years later in Los Angeles, California. A humble African-American preacher, William Seymour, began holding meetings teaching the biblical experience of receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues. The crowds grew until private homes could no longer hold them. They rented an abandoned building on Azuza Street that was only 2400 square feet in size. God was seeking to resolve the racial issues of America by the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Blacks, whites, Hispanics all came to hear this former slave preach the Word of God and to seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The Pentecostal movement swept across America like a great tidal wave. America and the world were healing from the wounds of World War II in the late 1940’s when God stepped in with a miraculous healing ministry and a fresh out pouring of His Holy Spirit. Jack Coe, a tent evangelist who began preaching while he was still serving in the army during World War II. Oral Roberts with his “Canvas Cathedral” that would seat three thousand and more. Gordon Lindsay, T. L. Osborn, and others began crossing the United States with their tent meetings and faith healing. While controversy surrounded their work, America was experiencing spiritual healing by a fresh out pour of the Holy Spirit and truly amazing physical healings. Dr. Billy Graham was invited to Los Angeles, California in September 1949. A large tent that seated six thousand people was set up in a parking lot. It was later enlarged to seat nine thousand. As the crowds grew and overflowed the tent the three week meeting was extended. Thousands came to Christ including several celebrates. This was the national-wide launching of the Billy Graham crusades. God was healing what man and politics could not heal. The 1960’s saw America was being torn and divided. The ravages of an “unpopular war”, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, college “sit ins”, Haight Ashbury love in, hippies, flower children, LSD, the killing of Bobby Kennedy, and the Watts riots shook our nation. Into this cauldron of anger, hate, free sex, and “turning on and dropping out”, the Jesus People and the Charismatic Renewal came transforming lives. Thousands of teenagers and college students were delivered from drugs and immoral lifestyles as they came to Christ on the beaches of California, in coffee houses of the Pacific Northwest, on the college campus in Berkley, and in home Bible studies. Businessmen and business women were finding salvation and the baptism of the Holy Spirit through Full Gospel Businessmen and Women’s Aglow.0 The Episcopal and Catholic churches were coming alive through Sunday night charismatic renewal Bible studies and hundreds of lukewarm Pentecostal churches experienced a fresh out pouring of the Holy Spirit. God was doing what the social engineering of the “Great Society” could not. America has reached another crisis point. Progressivism and the New World Order are seeking to change culture with political correctness and tolerance, demanding the Christian church embrace women’s rights, same-sex marriage and the LGBT agenda. Our cities are being divided blue and red, minorities are feeling disenfranchised, and our first responders are serving at great risk. As the world hurdles headlong into the last days with Lucifer setting up his one-world agenda many in the church are moving apostate participating in same-sex marriages, welcoming transgender members, and preaching a compromised Gospel. God has His agenda. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call (Joel 2:28-32 KJV). Can you hear the voice of God calling His church to a new outpouring of His Spirit? While the culture grows dark with evil and the streets are filled with looters and angry voices; while men and women burn with lustful passions and every thought of their imagination is only evil, God’s eyes are searching across the nation looking for the righteous ones through whom He can show Himself mighty. America is not lost, not yet. This is the hour of our visitation. The greatest spiritual awakening of this generation, maybe the greatest in all of history, is before us right now. God desires to pour out His Spirit on our nation one more time, healing our damaged emotions; bring peace to the war zones of our inner cities; uniting the blacks, whites, Hispanics and Asians in the divine love that can only come from Holy Spirit. This is day of our visitation. The question remains. Will we seize the moment or will we be like the Pharisees and Sadducees? I have been seeing and hearing a heap of debate and discussion out there on sales scripts lately and seeing as one of the main things I do for clients is create language-ing for all aspects of their client contact, I thought I would weigh in What I am going to cover are 3 crucial aspect of creating the sales language and subsequent conversations within an organisations that if ignored, can leave you with a system that will in all likelihood fail miserably. Plus You'll hear an actual client case study where we created an instant shift in results simply with the use of a well worded script 1. Context Each piece of language - ing MUST acknowledge context to be effective. As an example, language-ing for calling back a web lead needs to be different to calling back a referral as will making a cold call. Each situation needs a different approach as the context in each situation is different 2. Personality vs System based language-ing What this means is… There are certain pieces of scripting or language-ing that only certain personalities can get away with saying What many companies fail to ask is - what can only our top sales person get away with saying versus what can we teach our new junior sales representative ? What can our senior BD guy say that our new guy can’t? Again, failure to make this distinction can mean your people will sound canned and uncomfortable trying to use language that only a certain individual can get away with using. 3. Speak TO the script don’t READ FROM the script 80% of telephone communication is tonality, pitch, cadence and speed of speech and only 20% is the actual words. In Face to Face communication only 6% are the words you use, the rest is tonality and body language. Therefore scripting is twice as important on the phone however, it’s HOW what is said that is most important. Therefore, the delivery of the script itself is CRUCIAL. To make this happen, the script needs to be worded so that your sales team can SPEAK TO the script. Just like an actor delivers a convincing performance in one of your favourite films, your sales person needs the freedom to use the script in his or her own way so it sounds like them.
