V Svetem pismu najdemo različne nasvete in spodbude glede našega dela – med drugim, naj bomo marljivi (Pregovori 21,25 in 2. Tesaloničanom 3,10) in da naj s svojim delom poskrbimo za zadovoljitev svojih potreb in potreb, tistih, za katere smo odgovorni (Pregovori 24,27 in 1. Tesaloničanom 4,11). Toda delo, ki ga opravljamo vsak dan, je več kot le to. Je način, kako ustvarjamo razliko v svetu in življenje drugih spreminjamo na bolje. Osebe, ki polnijo nakupovalne police v trgovinah, nam ne omogočajo le, da pridemo do stvari, ki jih potrebujemo, ampak da te tudi lažje in hitreje najdemo ter tako dobro izkoristimo svoj čas. Če zaradi bolezenskih tegob končamo v bolnišnici, ni pomembno le delo zdravnikov in preostalega medicinskega osebja. Prav tako je pomembno tudi delo tistih, ki skrbijo za čistočo in higieno prostorov, saj s tem ustvarjajo okolje za uspešen potek našega zdravljenja. Ne glede na to, kaj delamo, ključno je, da to šteje. Delo bi moralo biti več kot le sredstvo za doseganje določenega cilja. Večkrat slišimo misel: “Ne živimo zato, da bi delali, delamo zato, da bi živeli.” Domneva, na kateri temelji to prepričanje, je, da ljudje v glavnem delajo za nekaj, kar je ob koncu meseca videti na plačilni listi in bančnem računu in da v tem ni nekega višjega smisla. Delati predvsem za denar pa je komajda kaj več od sodobne oblike podkupovanja – ko vam druga oseba plačuje, da naredite nekaj, kar želi, da naredite, ko bi vi raje delali nekaj drugega. Številne študije so pokazale, da so nefinančne spodbude – kot so priznanje, pozornost, spoštovanje in odgovornost – lahko učinkovitejše od finančnih spodbud. Ljudje, ki svojo identiteto gradijo na svojem dohodku, v delu le redkokdaj najdejo zadovoljstvo. Vedno bo nekdo imel večjo hišo ali boljši avto. To je dirka, v kateri v kateri ne morete zmagati. Če torej tudi vaš cilj ni umreti z več denarja, kot ga imajo vsi drugi na pokopališču, potem je zdaj trenutek, da na svoje delo pogledate z drugačne perspektive. Da v njem ne vidite le poti do plačanih položnic in hrane na vaši mizi, ampak tudi način, s katerim svoje okolje in življenje ljudi v njem spreminjate na bolje.

Tako kot za vsa dela Nataša Kramberger, pisateljice, ki se je pred sedmimi leti odločila za ekološko kmetovanje, je tudi za roman Po vsej sili živ značilen preplet sodobnosti in starožitnosti, zavzetosti in srčnosti, verizma in nadrealistične poetičnosti. Zanj je Nataša Kramberger letos prejela nagrado Prešernovega sklada. Z avtorico se je pogovarjal Vlado Motnikar.

V tokratni oddaji Intervju smo gostili podpredsednico upravnega odbora mednarodnega združenja pisateljev in pesnikov PEN International, predsednico slovenskega centra PEN, pisateljico in publicistko Tanjo Tuma. Avtorica številnih člankov s področja založništva, pobudnica bralnih kampanj za mlade in ustanoviteljica založbe Tuma, pri kateri sta med drugim izšli pomembni knjigi z naslovom Antologija slovenskih pesnic in Pozabljena polovica, je velika zagovornica enakosti in družbe sožitja. Gostja današnjega Intervjuja je aktivna pri mednarodnem odboru Pisatelji za mir, pri svojem delovanju pa se bori tudi za pravice žensk ter zapostavljenih družbenih skupin. Tanjo Tuma je v tednu, ko obeležujemo mednarodni dan žensk, pred mikrofon povabila voditeljica Tita Mayer.

Cilj Evropske filmske akademije, ki so jo konec osemdesetih let ustanovili evropski filmski ustvarjalci z obeh strani železne zavese, je še danes povezovanje in opozarjanje na evropski film in njegove ustvarjalce. Lani je postala predsednica francoska igralka Juliette Binoche . Decembra 2024, dan pred podelitvijo evropskih filmskih nagrad, se je v švicarskem Luzernu srečala z novinarji, med katerimi je bila tudi Ingrid Kovač Brus. Marijana Brecelj, dramska in filmska igralka, je dobitnica nagrade bert za življenjsko delo, ki jo podeljuje Društvo slovenskih režiserjev in režiserk. Nastopila je v filmih, kot so Čisto pravi gusar, Lahko noč, gospodična in Delo osvobaja, ter nadaljevankah, kot so Čokoladne sanje in Najini mostovi. Za vlogo matere v filmu Pod njenim oknom je leta 2003 na Festivalu slovenskega filma v Celju prejela posebno nagrado strokovne žirije in nagrado za igralko leta. »V svojih vlogah ne poskuša biti nekaj drugega, temveč samo drugačna. Z razvito igralsko veščino oziroma z igralsko modrostjo avtentičnost svoje osebne izkušnje prenese v karakterizacijo filmskega lika," so zapisali v utemeljitvi. Ko je film Pod njenim oknom prišel v kinematografe in je Marjana Brecelj dobila nagrado, je Tadeja Krečič igralko povabila v studio Radia Slovenija.

Če bi gospoda Jožeta Šivica vprašali, kateri material mu je še posebej ljub, bi verjetno brez pomisleka odgovoril - les. Kot poklicni glasbenik je vse življenje igral violo, pozneje pa izdeloval lesene izdelke. Ljubljančan, ki zdaj živi na Rakitni, se je rodil očetu, poštnemu uradniku, in mami, ki je bila gospodinja. Zaradi bolezni je že zgodaj izgubil brata in sestro. Svojo glasbeno kariero na violi je začel v našem RTV Simfoničnem orkestru, upokojitev pa dočakal v Slovenski filharmoniji. Vendar pa se je njegov prvi radijski nastop zgodil že mnogo prej, kakor boste izvedeli. V pogovoru z Lucijo Fatur pa je Jože Šivic najprej nanizal nekaj otroških spominov iz časa druge svetovne vojne.

14. decembra 2014 se je rodil Frane Milčinski – Ježek, nepozabni humorist, igralec, pevec, šansonjer, režiser in radijski ustvarjalec, po katerem se imenuje tudi nagrada, ki jo podeljuje RTV Slovenija za izvirne dosežke in opuse v zvrsteh radijske in televizijske ustvarjalnosti. V radijski hiši je delal od leta 1936 pa vse do smrti leta 1988, vendar kljub temu nikoli ni gostoval v oddaji Naši umetniki pred mikrofonom, da bi v strnjeni obliki predstavil svoje življenje in delo. Ohranjenih pa je veliko drobcev, njegovih nepovezanih pripovedi o sebi in delu, ki ga je imel rad. To so bili nastopi pred občinstvom, pred kamero in pred mikrofonom, da bi razveseljeval ljudi. Nekaj teh drobcev smo že pred leti sestavili v celoto. Ta naj da vsaj slutiti, kakšen je bil Frane Milčinski - Ježek kot človek.

Eden zelo dejavnih koroških Slovencev Roman Verdel, ravnatelj Slovenske glasbene šole dežele Koroške, se konec leta upokojuje. Po 27 letih vodenja glasbene šole ugotavlja, da so uspeli ohraniti pomembno ustanovo in jo kakovostno dvigniti, kar dokazujejo tudi številne nagrade in priznanja, ki jih dobivajo gojenci. Gre za pomemben kulturni podvig, pravi.Vse življenje se ukvarja z glasbo, trenutno vodi tri zbore, profesor slovenščine na Slovenski gimnaziji pa bo ostal do konca šolskega leta. Je predsednik Slovenskega prosvetnega društva v Borovljah, ki se ponaša z zgodovinskim domom na Trati Pri Cingelcu, in v okviru katerega dela tudi zasebni dvojezični vrtec Jaz in ti z več deset zaposlenimi. Po več letih sem srečala znanca. Oba sva imela čas in sva šla popit kavo. Nobeden od naju ni pričakoval, da jo bova pila dve uri. Začel mi je pripovedovati o svojih težavah. Pravzaprav nisem storila nič drugega, kot da sem ga zbrano poslušala. Ob koncu je izrekel misel, o kateri sem potem še večkrat premišljevala. »Saj nisem pričakoval, da mi boste pomagali rešiti moje probleme. Nobenega nasveta nisem pričakoval. Zame je pomembno predvsem to, da sem se slišal, da ste me poslušali. Ne morem z vsakim človekom govoriti o svojih problemih, marsikdo me sploh ne bi poslušal. Treba je, da se slišiš, da potem lahko začneš sam korak za korakom reševati svoje probleme.« Res, kako pomembno je, da se človek sliši. Že ko želiš misel izreči, jo moraš oblikovati v besede. Ta prvi korak je pomemben. Šele takrat, ko misel spraviš v besede, jo opazuješ z razdalje in postaneš bolj objektiven. Dokler misel ni oblikovana, obvladuje človeka, ko pa jo ta oblikuje v besede, je lahko njen gospodar. In pri tem ni dovolj, da misel kroži v glavi, čeprav oblikovana v stavke. Treba jo je izreči in slišati. Slišati ne sam zase, ampak v navzočnosti drugega človeka. Treba je, da se slišiš. Vsak izmed nas se mora izmenično znajti v obeh vlogah, v vlogi govorca in v vlogi poslušalca. Tako razumem tudi naša srečanja, naša druženja kot dragoceno priložnost, da drug drugemu omogočamo, da se slišimo. Seveda pa je to mogoče le ob ljudeh, ki znajo poslušati. Verjetno je naš največji problem prav v tem, da se premalo ali preslabo poslušamo.

Sicer je avtor številnih knjig, posebno pozornost je zbudila knjiga Canto per Europa - Spev za Evropo izpred treh let. Prevajalec Matej Venier je Paola Rumiza povabil v studio Radia Slovenija in se za oddajo Razgledi in razmisleki s pisateljem dotaknil številnih tem, ki so v središču njegovega pisanja. 23. avgusta je akademik Lojze Lebič, slovenski skladatelj in dirigent, dopolnil devetdeset let. Rodil se je v Prevaljah, študiral je arheologijo na filozofski fakulteti v Ljubljani, na akademiji za glasbo pa kompozicijo in dirigiranje. V oddaji Naši umetniki pred mikrofonom iz leta 2004 pripoveduje o svojih prvih letih doma in v njemu tedaj tuji Ljubljani ter o posebnem ozračju mučnih povojnih časov, ko je bilo zanj dogajanje na tedanjem evropskem glasbenem ustvarjanju neznano in daleč. Premik je nastal, med drugim, z delovanjem v skupini Pro musica viva, pa tudi s tečaji za sodobno glasbo v Nemčiji. Lojze Lebič je svoje skladanje izoblikoval iz napetosti med tradicijo in modernostjo v izjemen avtorski opus, prepoznan doma z največjimi nagradami, kot so Prešernova, Kozinova, Župančičeva, pa z zlatim redom za zasluge Republike Slovenije za življenjsko delo; tudi v tujini, saj je, na primer, zunanji član Kraljeve flamske akademije za znanost in umetnost Belgije, Hrvaške akademije znanosti in umetnosti.
