Naslov Nebesa v razsulu je mogoče razumeti tako, pojasnjuje avtor Slavoj Žižek, da se spomnimo enega najbolj znanih citatov Mao Zedonga, dobesednega navedka, ki se glasi, češ da je pod nebesi vse v razsulu, situacija je odlična. To naj bi po Žižkovem mnenju pomenilo, da tkivo trenutnega družbenega reda razpada, bližajoči se kaos pa revolucionarnim silam ponuja izjemno priložnost za odločno akcijo in prevzem politične oblasti. Strinja se, da je pod nebesi zares vse v razsulu, v razsulu so pravzaprav nebesa sama. Zamisli se nad dogajanjem v letih 2020 in 2021, času pandemije covida-19, globalnega segrevanja, znakov nove hladne vojne, izbruha državljanskih protestov in družbenih odporov po vsem svetu. V knjigi se filozof Žižek kaže kot prodoren politični analitik, proučevalec dogajanja v svetu, razrednega in strankarskega boja in vstaje množic ter dober poznavalec antagonizmov današnjega časa. Tu in tam se navezuje na filozofe, zlasti na Hegla in Marxa ter sodobnike, omeni Mladena Dolarja in Alenko Zupančič, kar nekaj Freudovih in Lacanovih spoznanj je zanj še vedno uporabnih, toda poglaviten pomen imajo poglabljanje v politične položaje v različnih državah, prikazovanje nasprotij, odkrivanje paradoksov in razkrivanje negativnosti. Žižek proučuje sodobno demokracijo in anarhijo, slika moč kapitalizma in hkrati poskuse, da bi v svetu zavladale napredne sile. Brez dlake na jeziku opisuje ravnanje populističnih politikov, nekakšno novo brezsramnost in načrtno obscenost, tako rekoč zaničevanje osnovnih pravil olike in demokratične odprtosti. Videti je, kot da vrnitev v staro spodobnost ni več mogoča. Iz trenutnega stanja in političnih navzkrižij napoveduje, kaj se bo iz vsega tega izcimilo, kako se bodo končale ameriške volitve, na katerih je na koncu zmagal Biden. Ugotavlja, da so obubožani v najrevnejših delih Združenih držav Amerike kljub zmagi demokratskega predsednika podpirali republikanski populizem. To se je na naslednjih volitvah tudi potrdilo. Filozof trdi, da zgodovina ni objektiven razvoj, temveč dialektičen proces, v katerem je neločljiv pogoj za tisto, kar se v resnici dogaja, njegova ideološka simbolizacija. Med drugim opozarja, da Izrael igra nevarno igro. Palestinci na Zahodnem bregu so dan za dnem izpostavljeni administrativnemu in fizičnemu nasilju; izhoda iz krize ne bo brez pristnega glasu Palestincev. »Zame je edini način iz tega zapletenega položaja etičen. Na koncu koncev ni konflikta med bojem proti antisemitizmu in bojem proti temu, kar država Izrael počne na Zahodnem bregu. Oba boja sta del enega in istega boja za suverenost.« Zaustavi se pri koronski pandemiji in trdi, da so nekatere države kapitulirale pred virusom. Pandemija ni zgolj znanstveni in zdravstveni pojav, temveč je naravna katastrofa, prav tako pa še družbeni, ekonomski in ideološki pojav, ki vzbuja strah pred dolgoročnimi gospodarskimi posledicami in vpliva na duševno zdravje. Edino upanje preostane sprejeti izziv postčloveškosti in si prizadevati za vzpostavitev nove normalnosti. »Ta vzpostavitev ni zdravstven ali gospodarski problem, temveč je v svojem bistvu političen: prisiljeni smo na novo izumiti naše celotno družbeno življenje.« Slavoj Žižek napoveduje tako imenovani komunizem vojne dobe, se pravi panevropsko izredno stanje s strogo disciplino in podrejanjem gospodarstva v boju proti vsem izzivom. Pravi, da potrebujemo novo obliko komunizma, nekakšen zmernokonservativni komunizem. Konservativnost pomeni prizadevanje, da se ohranijo razmere, ki so primerne za življenje ljudi. »… potrebujemo globalne ukrepe za boj proti zdravstvenim in okoljskim grožnjam, tako da bo gospodarstvo treba nekako socializirati.« Odgovori si na vprašanje, zakaj se oklepa imena komunizem, tako rekoč prekletega imena, ko pa se zaveda, da je komunistični projekt 20. stoletja propadel in pripomogel k vzponu novih oblik morilske groze. Komunizma ne jemlje kot rešitev vseh zagat, temveč kot še zmeraj najboljše poimenovanje za tisto, kar nam omogoča, da pravilno dojamemo težave, s katerimi se danes soočamo, in skušamo najti izhod iz njih. Komunizem je zanj edina možnost, saj verjame, da je svobodna izbira tistega, kar mora narediti in kar je nujno storiti. Spomni se besed Grete Thunberg, da je treba doseči, kar se zdi nemogoče. Slavoj Žižek torej še vedno ostaja komunist. Predlaga, da je treba odpreti prostor za nove svoboščine, take, katerih čas šele prihaja. Išče pot iz nezavidljivega položaja sodobnega sveta in skrajnosti v njem. Prepričan je, da potrebujemo globalno solidarnost, mednarodno sodelovanje in novi red. Edina resnična rešitev je po njegovem mnenju sprememba svetovnega ekonomskega sistema. Pravi cilj bi morala biti družba, ki bi bila postavljena na takšnih temeljih, da do revščine sploh ne bi prišlo. Demokracija za Žižka pomeni moč ljudstva oziroma idejo, da bi se substancialna volja večine morala izraziti v delovanju države in zaupanju v volilne mehanizme. Zavzema se za ekološko gibanje in feministični boj. Po robu se je treba postaviti prepletenosti države in civilne družbe, pomembne so svoboda in človekove pravice. Ekološka kriza je eno od osrednjih vprašanj sodobnega časa, zato se je z njo treba spopadati premišljeno in intenzivno. Današnji čas potrebuje žvižgače, pritrjuje avtor, se pravi ljudi, ki razkrivajo laži in pokvarjenost oblastnikov. Slavoj Žižek verjame, da je demokratični socializem mogoč, zaveda pa se začetka nevarne poti, od katere je odvisno naše preživetje. Zaupa v načelnost politike radikalne izbire ter predlaga izbiro tam, kjer je ta nujna, in jo zavrača, kjer je lažna. Poziva nas, naj kot edino upanje sprejmemo izziv postčloveškosti in si prizadevamo za vzpostavitev nove normalnosti. V sedanjem času, v katerem je Evropa v zatonu in so napadi na evropsko zapuščino na vrhuncu, poudarja avtor, se moramo odločiti prav za Evropo in si prizadevati za razsvetljenstvo, človekove pravice in svoboščine, družbeno solidarnost in feminizem. Slavoj Žižek v svojih prizadevanjih ostaja zvest samemu sebi tako s provokativnimi kot z revolucionarnimi pobudami. V marsičem bi bili lahko ponosni nanj in na njegov nadvse odmevni filozofski opus, vendar se to v podalpski kokoški, v kateri so ljudje nadvse kritični, zgodi le redko.

Sto let od vselitve v Oražnov dom, ki ga je skupaj z vsem svojim imetjem ljubljanski Medicinski fakulteti zapustil veliki humanist, domoljub, zdravnik in dobrotnik dr. Ivan Oražen. Če se v Ljubljani sprehodite od Kongresnega trga po Wolfovi ulici do Prešernovega trga in Tromostovja, lahko na eni od stavb opazite napis Oražnov dijaški dom. V njem že 100 let prebivajo študenti in študentke ljubljanske Medicinske fakultete. »Oražnov dom je bil za časa študija zame edina možna streha nad glavo,« pravi kirurg in profesor Stane Repše, ki je v domu prebival med letoma 1961 in 1966. Profesor je eden od treh sogovornikov tokratne oddaje Glasovi svetov o velikem slovenskem humanistu, domoljubu, zdravniku in dobrotniku dr. Ivanu Oražnu ter o njegovi neprecenljivi zapuščini. Dr. Oražen je namreč hišo na Wolfovi ulici v Ljubljani in vse svoje imetje z jasnimi navodili z oporoko zapustil ljubljanski Medicinski fakulteti. V oddaji Glasovi svetov sodelujejo: prof. dr. Palestinska kustosinja in pisateljica Rana Anani raziskuje palestinsko umetnostno zgodovino in vizualno umetnost. V svojih delih se posveča temam izgube, izbrisa in arhiviranja ter vlogi umetnosti kot orodja solidarnosti. Zadnji teden avgusta je bila gostja 4. Mednarodne poletne šole, ki so jo skupaj organizirali Moderna galerija (Ljubljana), Muzej afriške umetnosti (Beograd) in Muzej sodobne umetnosti Črne gore (Podgorica). V Ljubljani smo lahko prisluhnili njenemu predavanju Skozi zrcalo Gaze, v katerem preučuje zabrisane meje med orožarsko in zabavno industrijo. Vlado Vlaškalić, – ki smo si ga zapomnili po številnih vlogah, še posebej v dveh predstavah, ki sta nastali po adaptaciji Jančarjevih romanov: To noč sem jo videl in v predstavi In ljubezen tudi –, igra eno od glavnih vlog v uprizoritvi Medeja, v režiji enega najvplivnejših evropskih režiserjev Martina Kušeja. Igra je bila najprej premierno predstavljena na Dubrovniških poletnih igrah, v koprodukciji festivala Dubrovačke ljetne igre, HNK Varaždin in Drame Slovenskega narodnega gledališča Maribor. Mariborska premiera bo 3.oktobra na velikem odru SNG Maribor. Medeja je nastala po besedilih Simona Stona in Henrija Mullerja. Gre za zelo sodobno zgodbo, ki se lahko dogaja tu med nami, hkrati pa zajema vso tragiko grškega mita. Vlado Vlaškalić: "Da bi raziskoval zgolj lik, bi se mi zdelo škoda časa, vsak tekst ti nekaj da. Z vsebino raziskuješ nekaj o sebi ali o družbi, mogoče prej nisi gledal na tak način ali pa nisi tako laboratorijsko pristopil k nekemu fenomenu ali pojavu. Zame je to vedno neka stvar, ki se dogaja v družbi ali pa se je."

''Slikanje je zame nenehno kopanje po sebi,'' pravi slikar Ivo Prančič, ki že od 80. let prejšnjega stoletja razvija ekspresivno slikarsko poetiko. Doda, da so ga vedno zanimali ''neki drugačni prostori, ki so kot uganke''. Če bi gospoda Jožeta Šivica vprašali, kateri material mu je še posebej ljub, bi verjetno brez pomisleka odgovoril les. Kot poklicni glasbenik je vse življenje igral violo, pozneje pa izdeloval lesene izdelke. Ljubljančan, ki zdaj živi v Rakitni, se je rodil očetu, poštnemu uradniku, in mami, ki je bila gospodinja. Zaradi bolezni je že zgodaj izgubil brata in sestro. Svojo glasbeno kariero na violi je začel v našem Simfoničnem orkestru, upokojitev pa dočakal v Slovenski filharmoniji. Vendar pa se je njegov prvi radijski nastop zgodil že veliko prej, kot boste izvedeli. V pogovoru konec lanskega leta, pogovarjala sta se z Lucijo Fatur, pa je Jože Šivic najprej nanizal nekaj otroških spominov iz časa druge svetovne vojne.
