PAPI NO NOS FALLES

Imaginez, vous vous baladez, dans une forêt tropicale. Quand tout à coup, des odeurs de Saucisse de Francfort et de salade de pomme de terresviennent vous chatouiller les narines. Non vous n'êtes pas à Berlin mais bien au Pérou, coincé quelque part entre les Andes et l'Amazonie. Bienvenue à Oxapampa. C'est ici, que des colons allemands ont posé leur valise il y a 150 ans et leurs descendants comptent bien conserver les traditions. Un reportage de Martin Chabal   Oxapampa, petite ville de près de 20 000 habitants nichée au cœur des Andes tropicales péruviennes, semble tout droit sortie de la Forêt-Noire allemande. Fondée au milieu du XIXᵉ siècle par des colons austro-allemands, leurs descendants revendiquent encore aujourd'hui cet héritage singulier. Chaque année, ils célèbrent leurs origines lors d'un défilé coloré et parfois kitsch, mêlant costumes traditionnels, chars décorés et musique folklorique. Cette fête raconte l'histoire des familles fondatrices, comme celle des Albergrin, et intrigue les touristes, surpris de découvrir une culture germanique transplantée au cœur de la jungle andine.  Nasry Asfura déclaré vainqueur de l'élection présidentielle au Honduras  La presse revient largement sur cette proclamation qui intervient après des semaines de vives contestations postélectorales et d'un climat d'incertitude qui a tenu la population en haleine, écrit le journal Processo. Connu du grand public sous les surnoms de « Tito » ou « Papi a la orden », Nasry Asfuras'emploie à projeter l'image d'un candidat proche des gens, écrit la chaîne CNN en espagnol. S'il accède à la présidence du Honduras, le président élu devra aussi répondre à d'autres enjeux majeurs, estime CNN: la crainte des Honduriens face aux fraudes de la classe politique, la situation économique, l'emploi et la corruption, qui figurent parmi les principales préoccupations de la population. Bien que l'homme d'affaires promette « un gouvernement transparent » dans lequel le peuple « puisse avoir la certitude que ses fonds et ses impôts sont bien gérés », il lui faudra construire cette légitimité au sein d'un Parti national du Honduras terni par des affaires de corruption et par la condamnation pour narcotrafic de l'ancien président et dirigeant du parti, Juan Orlando Hernández.    Si les résultats du scrutin sont validés définitivement, cette l'élection représenterait aussi une victoire pour le président américain Donald Trump. C'est ce qu'on peut dans le New York Times. Le journal rappelle que Donald Trump a apporté son soutien au candidat conservateur, quelques jours avant le scrutin. Le président a déclaré sur les réseaux sociaux qu'ils pourraient travailler ensemble pour faire face aux « narco-communistes » — un terme péjoratif désignant le parti de gauche au pouvoir au Honduras et ses alliés dans la région, notamment le Venezuela — et pour acheminer de l'aide vers le pays.  Aux Etats-Unis, des millions d'enfants ont pu suivre la trajectoire du Père Noël.   Encore une fois, le père Noël est traqué par le très sérieux Commandement de la défense aérospatiale de l'Amérique du Nord, le NORAD. C'est à la Une de Newsweek. Ce qui a commencé par un appel téléphonique composé par erreur en 1955 est devenu une tradition très appréciée. A l'époque, un enfant a appelé le NORAD par accident. L'officier de service, le colonel Harry Shoup, a joué le jeu, lançant ainsi ce rendez-vous annuel. Une tradition à laquelle même les présidents n'y échappent pas. Donald Trump a ainsi parlé aux jeunes auditeurs via le Commandement de la défense aérospatiale de l'Amérique du Nord. Lors de ses conservations il a assuré de veiller à ce que le père Noël est sage et qu'il n'y ait pas de mauvais père Noël qui s'infiltrent dans le pays. Après avoir décroché le téléphone, il a publié un message virulent, souhaitant un « Joyeux Noël à tous, y compris – je cite - à la racaille d'extrême gauche ».   Haïti :  « Réveillez-vous »   C'est le titre de l'éditorial de Frantz Duval qui était en direct dans le  journal pour parcourir la Une du Nouvelliste. Le rédacteur en chef estime qu'en « rêvant d'un meilleur avenir, le peuple haïtien, ces dernières années, a accordé foi à des bonimenteurs. Sans mettre la main à la pâte, le pays a livré son destin au Conseil présidentiel de transition et espère des miracles de la Force de répression des gangs. Il n'en sera rien si chaque Haïtien n'est pas éveillé et vigilant », écrit Frantz Duval qui revient aussi sur l'attaque en mer déjouée par les autorités haïtiennes.  Journal d'Outre-mer la 1ère   La Guadeloupe a rendu hommage aux 344 premiers travailleurs indiens débarqués le 24 décembre 1854 à bord du trois-mâts L'Aurélie.  

Après beaucoup d'attente, le résultat est donc connu: le conservateur Nasry Asfura a remporté 40,3% des suffrages, contre 39,5% pour son rival libéral Salvador Nasralla, selon la commission électorale nationale (CNE) du Honduras, ce 24 décembre 2025. Cette proclamation de victoire intervient 24 jours après les élections du 30 novembre, en cause, rappelle le journal El Heraldo : « des retards et un recomptage spécial qui a duré plusieurs jours. » Alors que Reporters sans Frontières estime que la presse hondurienne connaît une lente descente aux enfers depuis le coup d'État de 2009, créant un climat de peur et d'autocensure au sein des médias, le journal espagnol, El Pais, s'intéresse aux critiques et à la défiance dans l'opposition : « L'annonce du vainqueur a été marquée par des accusations et des dénonciations de la part des membres de la commission électorale, composée de représentants des trois partis politiques en lice : le parti Libre au pouvoir, le Parti national et le Parti libéral », peut-on lire. « Je me rends au parquet pour porter plainte contre la fraude électorale en cours », a dénoncé sur les réseaux sociaux Marlon Ochoa, membre du Parti Libre. La presse dresse aussi le portrait du nouveau président Asfura. El Heraldo, commente : « À 67 ans, cet homme d'affaires et ancien maire de Tegucigalpa se présente comme une figure de contrastes : ses partisans le voient comme un leader infatigable qui préfère les bottes de travail et une chemise bleu clair au costume formel, tandis que ses détracteurs le perçoivent comme un homme politique reclus qui évite les débats de fond sur les problèmes structurels du pays ».  La Prensa, recontextualise cette victoire : « Nasry Asfura, connu parmi ses partisans sous le nom de "Papi a la orden", est parvenu, lors de cette seconde tentative, à accéder à la présidence de la République sous la bannière du Parti national conservateur. [Parti qui] cherche à revenir au pouvoir après une période de déclin politique entre 2010 et 2022, marquée par des accusations de corruption et de trafic de drogue contre d'anciens responsables ». À lire aussiPrésidentielle au Honduras: face à un retard «intentionnel» dans l'annonce des résultats, la population s'indigne Derrière l'annonce de cette victoire, l'ombre de Donald Trump « Les États-Unis félicitent Asfura, soutenu par Trump, pour sa victoire au Honduras », titre le journal argentin La Nacion aujourd'hui. Il mentionne au passage la réaction du président d'Argentine, Javier Milei qui en profite pour attaquer la gauche : C'est « une défaite retentissante pour le narco-socialisme ». El Universo, quotidien équatorien, rappelle qu'Asfura, « le magnat du BTP, a remporté la présidence à sa deuxième tentative, cette fois avec le soutien de Trump qui, à l'approche du scrutin (...), a menacé de couper l'aide à l'un des pays les plus pauvres d'Amérique latine s'il ne votait pas pour son candidat. La présidente [sortante progressiste] Castro a (même) accusé Trump d'ingérence électorale. » Il faut dire que le président américain Donald Trump a publiquement exprimé son soutien à Asfura, trois jours avant l'élection. C'était via son réseau social, Truth Social, mentionnant au passage le président Vénézuélien : « la démocratie est mise à l'épreuve lors des prochaines élections dans le magnifique pays du Honduras, le 30 novembre. Maduro et ses narcoterroristes vont-ils s'emparer d'un autre pays comme ils l'ont fait avec Cuba, le Nicaragua et le Venezuela ? » À lire aussiPrésidentielle au Honduras: le conservateur Nasry Asfura, soutenu par Donald Trump, déclaré vainqueur La presse américaine commente le résultat Le Washington Post mentionne à son tour le chaos de ces élections et souligne que les propos de « Trump ont également suscité des accusations d'ingérence électorale de la part de candidats et de personnalités politiques de tous bords ». Pour la directrice du bureau Amérique de l'ONG Human Rights Watch, interrogée par le Washington Post : « il ne fait aucun doute que le moment choisi pour les déclarations de Trump était délibéré (...). L'effet immédiat était prévisible : il a probablement renforcé la position d'Asfura dans la dernière ligne droite de la campagne ». Dans le New York Times, la déclaration du secrétaire d'État américain est reprise dans les colonnes du journal. Les États-Unis n'ont pas tardé à saluer la victoire « claire » et « incontestable » du conservateur Asfura, appelant toutes les parties « à respecter les résultats ». Des observateurs étrangers avaient afflué au Honduras pour l'élection, qui, d'après eux, a démenti prédictions d'ingérence malgré les accusations lancées de part et d'autre. Un observateur électoral confie toutefois au journal américain : « De sérieux doutes subsistent quant à l'intégrité du scrutin en raison de l'écart extrêmement faible et de la profonde méfiance du public envers le processus électoral. Cela aura un impact sur la crédibilité du gouvernement ». Le candidat Nasralla a dénoncé un « vol » de l'élection. Rixi Moncada, reléguée à la troisième place, parle pour sa part d'une « falsification » du résultat et de l' « ingérence » du président américain dans le scrutin.
