    Ivy Insights

The Can We Still Be Friends? podcast, hosted by Nate and Ryan, has quickly become one of my favorite movie podcasts. With 100 episodes under their belt, these hosts have proven themselves to be knowledgeable and insightful when it comes to discussing film. Their discussions have helped me view many movies through a different lens, and I appreciate the fresh perspectives they bring to each episode.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the depth with which Nate and Ryan delve into the emotional and political aspects of movies. They are able to have lucid and intelligent conversations about film that not only analyze its technical elements but also explore its impact on society. I appreciate that their opinions feel honest and informed, making their discussions engaging and thought-provoking. Additionally, their banter feels natural and relatable, making it feel like you're hanging out with friends while discussing movies.

However, one aspect that could be improved upon is the coverage of more arthouse cinema. While I understand that mainstream features attract more listeners, I would love to hear them discuss lesser-known films such as Blue Velvet or Tokyo Story. That being said, this criticism is minor in comparison to the overall quality of the podcast.

In conclusion, The Can We Still Be Friends? podcast is a must-listen for any film enthusiast. Nate and Ryan offer fresh insights into movies from various genres while maintaining an enjoyable and relatable atmosphere. Their intelligence, knowledgeability, and willingness to explore different perspectives make for compelling discussions that will leave you with a deeper appreciation for cinema. I highly recommend giving this podcast a listen - you won't regret it!
