One of my favorite movies is Twelve Angry Men. The original was made in 1957 starring Henry Fonda, then it was remade for TV in 1997 starring Jack Lemmon. It's a true-crime courtroom drama, but most of the action takes place in the jury deliberation room for a murder trial. I think both versions are pretty good. But we know how Hollywood likes to play up the drama and the theatrics, and what we see on the screen is entertaining, but not always very accurate. Wouldn't it be interesting to know what it's like to actually be on a jury for a murder trial? That's what my guest today, Jami, is going to talk about. She was actually the jury foreman. Movin on, 8 movies today 
 1.(Traffic 1971)
Here we have a film by the Famous French director Jacques Tati. I guess Jaques did some amazing and ground breaking films in the 40's 50's and 60's, annnnd then there's this one about people goin on a road trip to promote a vehicle that can do it all, I think, memory is foggy. 
 2.(The Front Page 1974) Walter Matthau, Jack Lemmon, Carol Burnett, and the guy who works for Doc Hopper in the muppet movie star in yet another movie based off of a play.
3.(A Very Natural Thing 1974) This is not a documentary about the early gay liberation front movement in the early 70's, but it is close. Movie has real protest and Pride footage, and you can basically see the meetings and discussions that took place to create the narrative that we see on the screen. Amazing film unburied after all these years.
4. (Between the Lines 1977) Here Jeff Gollum is young and on speed or something. Film takes us through some time with a radical newspaper as it is about to be bought by a major label, can these rads keep their street credit, and will Jeff take a well needed nap.
5. (A Bridge too Far 1977) Oh Mylanta they chucked a lot of dough on the screen, it's like 300 extras parachuting at the same time oh my. We all liked this war movie very much but this is NOT based off of a play, but based off of a war!Almost every male actor working at the time appears in this for at least 30 seconds.

7. (The Special Olympics 1978) You tube copy of this is astoundingly unwatchable, listen and we'll tell you all about it. It is a shame and should be fixed, because this film is quite worthy of being seen, and not just for Charles Durning fans like us.

Stacy has descended a new rabbit hole that makes this episode even more exciting than usual; however, it's a Cultural Blindspot so she's forced to wait to share even though it's become her LIFE. He and “the Girlfriend” did something perhaps no one has ever done, they crashed into a bird enroute home from Veranda Beach – a traumatizing experience all around. On the same ride he realized his car's data center wasn't working thus begins “The early Morning Plight of the Chevy Blazer.” Other than Mexican food and avoiding grocery shopping Stacy's highlight in banana Laffy Taffy (which leads to a conversation about the excellent candy selection at Dollarama in Canada. For their CBS (cultural blindspots), not to be confused with IBS, Stacy finally gets to discuss the cultural phenomenon that is the true crime documentary. From MacKenzie Shirilla to Elizabeth Smart with Moriah Wilson for good measure, Stacy is hooked! To redeem herself she watches What Ever Happened to Baby Jane which essentially had a fictional true crime plot with the iconic real-life rivals Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. It was a wild ride and like no other day at the beach! Perhaps inspired by his trip to Canada, Eric watched Strange Brew, a precursor to movies like Wayne's World. Mary Greenwell is a makeup artist who has worked with some of the most famous faces in the world including Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, David Bowie and Cate Blanchett. Her less-is-more approach has won her plaudits in the beauty industry and she became Princess Diana's makeup artist of choice.Mary was born in Sussex and left school at 16. By the mid-1970s she was living in Los Angeles where she started out on the door at the legendary Joe Allen restaurant, escorting the likes of Paul Newman and Jack Lemmon to their tables. She received her one and only makeup lesson from the award-winning Ilana Harkavi and shortly afterwards created a look for 12-year-old actor Brooke Shields.Mary's big break came when she moved to Paris in 1984 and began working with the original supermodels; Christy Turlingon, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Tatiana Patitz. In 1990 she met Princess Diana on a Vogue photo shoot and became her go-to makeup artist and friend.In 2025 Mary was appointed an MBE for services to the beauty and fashion industries and her charity work.Mary lives in London. We welcome Moosie Drier, one of the most familiar young faces of 70s and 80s TV and film!
