Discussing theology, culture, and history from a reformed biblical perspective. Your host Jason is not a scholar or pastor, but simply a passionate young layman seeking to provide edifying, biblical resources for God’s people. Soli Deo Gloria!

Listeners of Daily Reformation that love the show mention: jason is a great host,In this third episode in a row, I continue looking into the subjects of soteriology and eschatology in the teaching of Scripture, this time focusing on the narrative found in the book of Revelation, especially as it relates to the lake of fire, and the ending that follows. Thanks for listening, and hope you all have a great Christmas! https://youtu.be/OAhXgBzIvFg
In this episode, I address a few more misconceptions about the soteriological view of evangelical universalism which I've been considering as a plausible interpretation of Scripture. After this, I read from Gregory MacDonald's book, The Evangelical Universalist, in which he walks through Philippians 2:9-11 and its source text Isaiah 45:20-25, arguing that these texts both perhaps suggest a picture of eschatological salvation of all. Thanks for listening, and as always I encourage you to be like the Bereans and "search the Scriptures, to see if these things are so" (Acts 17:11)! https://youtu.be/TofvLLm_LqI
After taking an extended break to focus on my academic studies, I decided to drop back in to give a brief update and explain a bit about my theological studies especially in the area of salvation and end times. Hope you all enjoy, and thanks for your patience! On this week's episode of the podcast, Jason discerningly analyzes the lyrics of this record in order to bring to light some of the doctrinal issues with Elevation's teaching and emphasis. On this week's episode, instead of a topical study, Jason simply delves into a famous and powerful text of Scripture known as the Carmen Christi or "hymn to Christ" in Philippians 2. After a 4-week break, Jason is back with an episode on the importance of good theology especially in regards to the Gospel itself. In the episode Jason begins by going through a concise gospel presentation found on Instagram that represents a common trend today of turning the gospel upside down by making us victims rather than perpetrators, also making us the main focus rather than Christ. After going over this, Jason plays a famous clip from Rev. Voddie Baucham Jr. relevant to the topic of the episode. Hope it's an encouragement! God bless. Also as you may have noticed, DailyRef has new music! “Amazing Grace” by Citizens & Saints ℗BEC Recordings (Madison Park) All Rights Reserved. Used By Permission.
Wanted to let everyone know I'll be taking a brief 4-week hiatus to dedicate time to focus on deeper studying of theology and the Word, so that I can improve the quality in the long-term and ultimately better glorify God through the content. God bless you all, and I’ll see you soon!
Assurance of salvation is one of the most practical and significant theological concepts found in all of Scripture, yet so many of us struggle with it on daily basis. This week Jason walks through what Scripture says about total depravity and the human will in regards to salvation, and specifically the question of whether or not man naturally has the ability to choose the things of God. Hope it's a helpful summary! Here are some of the texts referenced in the episode: Genesis 3:1-24 Romans 5:12 1 Corinthians 15:22 Ephesians 2:1-3 Ecclesiastes 9:3 Jeremiah 17:9 (in the episode I somehow said Hebrews 17:9 accidentally haha) Romans 3:10-12 Romans 1:21 2 Timothy 3:7 John 8:34 Romans 8:7-8 1 Corinthians 2:14 1 Corinthians 1:18 John 6:44 Ephesians 2:4-5 Colossians 2:13 2 Corinthians 5:17 Ezekiel 36:26 Philippians 1:29 John 6:37 Romans 8:30 Matthew 11:27 Acts 13:48 Music: "Arrival of the Lore" by Courtland Urbano
In today's world, the topic of homosexuality and the LGBTQ movement seem to be front and center in the cultural conversation. As Biblical Christians how should we view this, and how can we lovingly address the subject with balance and clarity? On this week's episode, Jason seeks to explain and explore what Scripture says about this topic and how these texts ought to be properly understood and applied. Music: "Arrival of the Lore" by Courtland Urbano
The question of who Christ's death on the cross was intended to save is a very fascinating yet controversial one that has been debated throughout church history. This week on the podcast, Jason seeks to Biblically explain and defend the view that Jesus died to save particularly the elect (those graciously chosen by God for salvation), and not every single human being on earth. Yet Jason also acknowledges that this view is not a dogmatic essential worth dividing over. Nevertheless, hopefully the episode is a helpful explanation!
