Can a Christian lose their salvation? It's one of the most important—and emotionally loaded—questions a believer can ask. In this episode of our Big Questions series, we examine what the Bible teaches about eternal security, the warning passages that often cause confusion, and how to know if your faith is genuine. Join us as we explore passages from John, Romans, Ephesians, Philippians, and 1 John to discover why our confidence isn't found in our ability to hold on to Jesus, but in His promise to hold on to us.
Try the BibleACTS app!: https://bibleacts.goodbarber.app/subscribe Shop “Cut to the Heart” apparel: https://cut2theheart.com In this episode, we tackle one of the most difficult and frequently asked questions in Christianity: How much sin causes someone to lose their salvation? Using passages from 1 John 5, 1 Corinthians 5, and James 5, we examine what the Bible actually says about persistent sin, repentance, spiritual death, and the restoration of believers who have wandered from the truth. In this discussion, we explore: What John means by a "sin leading to death" in 1 John 5 Why not all sin is described the same way in Scripture The case of the immoral brother in 1 Corinthians 5 What it means to be delivered to Satan for the destruction of the flesh James 5 and the believer who wanders from the truth The difference between stumbling into sin and turning back to a lifestyle of sin Whether there is a specific amount of sin that causes someone to fall away How repentance, faith, and perseverance relate to salvation The importance of restoring those who have strayed This episode argues that the biblical question is not, "How many sins can I commit before I'm lost?" but rather, what happens when a person stops repenting, abandons faith, and returns to a life of rebellion against God? Throughout Scripture, salvation is presented as more than a one-time decision—it is a relationship with Jesus Christ that transforms the direction of a person's life. Join us as we carefully examine these passages and discuss what they teach about sin, salvation, repentance, and the Christian life. Watch, listen, and grow in your faith — and subscribe for more verse-by-verse Bible teaching, podcast discussions, and biblical commentary.

Does Ezekiel 33 teach that you can lose your salvation? In this episode, Dr. E walks through a difficult Old Testament passage that often confuses both believers and skeptics. At first glance, it sounds like a righteous person can lose everything by sinning—or that a wicked person can earn their way back through good behavior. But is that really what Scripture is saying? Dr. Easley explains how this passage fits within the broader story of the Bible and why it doesn't contradict the gospel of grace. You'll see how both the Old and New Testaments consistently point to one truth: we are not saved by our works, but by God's mercy alone. If you've ever struggled with questions about eternal security, felt like you had to “balance the scales” with God, or wondered how to explain salvation to a non-believer, this episode brings clarity and confidence straight from Scripture. Pastoral Chat: Salvation is a free gift from God received through faith in Jesus, but Scripture shows that it can be lost if a person willingly walks away from that faith. While believers may still sin, they do not continue in unrepentant sin as a lifestyle. True salvation is marked by ongoing faith and a heart that turns from wrongdoing. Jesus calls believers to remain faithful to the end, and Revelation warns that names can be removed from the Book of Life—indicating that some who were once saved can fall away. However, the fact that you're concerned about your salvation is a strong sign that your heart is still responsive to God. Daily Study: One highly debated issue in the body of Christ is the question: "Can you lose salvation?" Some say that once you are saved, you are always saved. Others say that you can actually lose salvation after being saved. Let's examine this question by combing through the Bible. In this sermon titled "Can You Lose Salvation?", Pastor Rob McCoy dives into the book of Philippians to explore the assurance of eternal life. He challenges the idea that salvation can be lost, emphasizing that if it could, it wouldn't be truly eternal. Pastor Rob reminds us that our salvation is secured by the Lord's grace, not by our own works. We are called to do the good works He has prepared for us because we are already saved, not to earn salvation. Walk confidently in this truth.Verse References: Philippians 4 verses 1-8Make sure you subscribe to this channel and follow us on all our platforms to always stay up to date with our latest content! And you can always head over to our website for any general information!https://godspeak.comPrayer/NeedsIf you have any needs, or have a willingness to be used to meet various need in the body, please email info@godspeak.com. A new MP3 sermon from Grace & Truth Bible GA is now available on SermonAudio with the following details: Title: 32 - If You Can't Lose Salvation, What Can the Believer Lose? Pt.3 Subtitle: Romans 1-8 [2023-24] Speaker: Dennis Rokser Broadcaster: Grace & Truth Bible GA Event: Sunday Service Date: 5/19/2024 Bible: 1 John 1:5-10 Length: 70 min.
I. The problem of those who fall away, v6. II. The description of those who fall away, vv4-6. III. The evidence and end of those who fall away, vv7-8
Let's Talk About The idea That Christians Who “WALK AWAY” From The Lord Can Lose Salvation First, no one under any circumstances who is saved can lose their salvation. That is a lie, and is a message presented only by deceivers. It is not walking away from the Lord because you stopped going to church. It is not walking away from the Lord because you have doubts. It is not walking away from the Lord because you have not prayed for 12 months. If you scroll from Genesis all the way through Revelation, here are words you will never find: “WALK AWAY FROM THE LORD”. YES, That makes for a great scary Sunday morning sermon to cause you to doubt and freak out that maybe you really are not saved, but it lacks any biblical truth. The closest we get to that is people who have heard the gospel, they tasted it, but they never actually received it. Meaning, it sounded really good, but they never truly believed it. They fell away from Grace because they never accepted it. And here's the news flash. Even if believers should choose to avoid going to church, reading their Bible, lifting up their prayers to God, etc., it is impossible to walk away from the Lord. The Spirit of Christ lives in you. He SWORE He will never leave you. So, if you're going to avoid reading the Bible, going to church, praying, etc. you're going to have to do it with Christ right there with you. Christ will let you choose to make bad decisions, but He will not let you walk away. No matter where you go, He will be there with you, training you, discipling you, building you up. And if it takes him your entire life, he's going to remain right there, and will always be fully invested in YOU.If you enjoyed this video be sure to like, share, and comment below God BlessLearn More at https://jesuswithoutreligion.com/christians-can-not-walk-away-from-the-lord/
