Born a Houston Texas native, comedian Ash'Ley Rushin has been doing standup since 2010. Upon being diagnosed with MS he took to the stage to a warm reception, after performing for only a year. He is a burn survivor and had been performing in a mask and gloves. He continued his comedic journey describing it as “turning bad things into comedy”. Influenced by the comedic stylings of greats such as Carlin, Pryor, and Red Foxx he's applied his own formula to the mix. Taking everyday oddities and personal issues making them relatable and laughable. “I don't like to think of the things I say on stage as jokes, this is more like a personal journal of mine that I keep and share with everybody.” Follow him on instagram - rushgotjokes https://instagram.com/rushgotjokes?igshid=MTIyMzRjYmRlZg==

Bio (I figured you would want a more comedy centric one, this gave me an opportunity to update the bio on my website.) - " Actor, Comedian and Novelty Mug Collector; Patricio Fabian Mendoza, has been studying performing arts since 2007, learning to operate from a place of honesty. Writing humor around what he knows. This self-deprecating style of humor takes what life throws at him, finds the funny and pitches it back as laughter. From Vancouver to Seattle, this starting stand-up has hit a litany of shows, from showcases, to participating in competitions such as "Funniest MF," "Comedy and a Cause," "Cash for Comedy," as well as being a Finalist in the 22nd Annual “FunnyFest” Competition in Calgary, and opened for headlining comedian Eric Johnston for an exclusive show at Vancouver Film School." Stories (Most of my jokes are based on true stories) - For a 1960s themed Spirit day in High School. I dressed up as the original all-white Cowboy version of Ghost Rider, and everyone thought I was dressed as a Klansmen. It didn't help that when I took the cowboy hat off my cowl/face hood stuck straight up. - I full-on shart my pants after a 3 hour drive back home where I was running on nothing but gas station coffee. - I recently performed a whole 5 minute set while out of breath at the Funniest MF competition, because I thought it would be a good idea to do laps on stage. - When I was living in Florida I shared a bed with my male chinese roommate on a road trip to Key West, because I was too shy to ask the front desk for an extra bed. Goals - I want to be able to perform a solid 30 minutes on stage by the end of August. - I want to make someone laugh so hard they fall over. - I want to finally pay off my credit card that's been maxed out since producing my first short film last year. - I want to produce more short films, and eventually write and produce a feature length film. - I want to finish writing the story bible for a sitcom idea I've had boiling in my head for awhile - I want to be able to live off my entertainment work be it acting, stand-up, or producing - I would love to eventually run a business where I work with international comic book creators and writers to translate and publish their work and characters for english speaking audiences --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

I love doing comedy, rock climbing, playing music with my band, soccer, my cat and my family :) Goals for Comedy My main goals for comedy are to have FUN, get better each time and make friends :) I try to choose different goals each time I do a set. These range from focusing on my body movement, timing, specific bits, eye contact, not using my notes, speaking into the mic, etc Embarrassing story / Time I think I bombed I did a set that had done well once before, but it didn't go as well a 2nd time. The set was about farting and no one laughed at one joke the entire time. Bombing is one thing, but bombing after talking about how I farted in front of a significant other is another thing. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

He graduated from UC Irvine in 2011 with B.A.'s in English/Creative Fiction and Film and Media Studies. In 2016 he graduated from the New York Film Academy (time spent in both Manhattan, NY and Burbank, CA) with an M.F.A. in Filmmaking, learning a lot about film directing and the craft of film on set and as a writer. After a life of elementary and high school plays, and some college improv comedy at UC Irvine, Jason got his first taste of celebrity status in 2008, when he won 1 million dollars on NBC's “1 vs. 100”. He parlayed that success into a brief appearance on the GSN “1 vs. 100” in 2009. And to make this all full circle, Jason won 1 thousand dollars in 2020 for winning the first round of GSN's “Masterminds”. Jason has always loved trivia, and maybe a little more for being paid for it. Game shows are nice, but now Jason Luna is an actor. He has been appearing on comedy improv stages in SD and LA for the National Comedy Theater (SD), as well as the Upright Citizens Brigade, LA Connection Theater, and other places since 2016, and performs currently every week online with the One Love Improv indie troupe. He's performed stand up comedy at the Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank and others places as well, and is expanding on that front, like most of his fronts. Jason is a SAG-AFTRA member employed from time to time by Central Casting, and can't wait to work some more.
