Presented by Maxxis and Outhouse Coffee Co. What a glorious time of year it is! With the 2025 Motocross of Nations in the history books, last weekend marked the first genuine off-season weekend for the motocross industry. Except for teams and racers contesting the Arenacross or WSX World Championship Series, most who were involved in the 31 racers that made up the Supercross, Motocross, and SMX Playoff series should have really soaked up last weekend. Ours started off with the Celebration of Life for our friend and partner Doni Wilson, who we lost on August 11 to a battle with ALS. It was an amazing event and it was a nice way to close the chapter on our time of mourning the loss of DW. There's that, and a whole lot more in this week's podcast!
Josh Cartwright raced his 7th Riviere-Du-Loup Arenacross this past weekend and finished 2nd to Charles Le Francois from France. We spoke with him from his home in Texas to talk about how the weekend went and then we got to the fun stuff talking about the race's infamous afterparty.

"All of your guys were around when four-strokes came out," said the AMA's Mike Burkeen in Thursday night's AMA Arenacross press conference. "The rules were made and it turns out they weren't very good. They basically killed off the two-strokes. Once it happened we couldn't put the genie back in the bottle. With the electric bikes we didn't want to go full-bore and then just cut it off if we find out it doesn't work. Because everyone has made purchasing decisions already, then we'll have all these guys that they bought under what they would say were bad pretenses. So we want to walk before we run, but we definitely want to run. What that looks like? Nobody knows?" Arenacross can serve as the testing ground to see where electric could fit, so a new stand-alone class for Stark Varg electric bikes has will fit into the Arenacross structure for 2024-2025. Have a listen to last night's press conference as the series explains the new class, and hear from riders like Josh Hill and Justin Bogle. Don't worry, the traditional AMA Arenacross class for 250s and 450s remains, with Kyle Peters trying to hold off riders like Ryan Breece and Vince Friese to notch a record sixth-straight championship. But in the Dash for Cash, it will be electric versus combustion! All the stars are here to talk about their prospects before tonight's season opener in Reno, Nevada. The Racer X Exhaust podcast is presented by Yoshimura and Racer X Brand.

Leave it to The Freaks to suggest a runoff to decide the best ever if Peters wins his fifth title this year to equal the brilliant career of Antunez, still known as The Budman. Listen...

Chase Sexton secured the win in Detroit with a great ride from the back and ironically a little bit of the bad luck he's had at times targeted another racer on the cusp of the W to seal the deal for the 23. Chase comes on to talk about how the race went for him, the penalty he was issued for jumping on a no jump flag and thought's on finishing the series strong. Aaron Plessinger was the hero of the Detroit SX though. He's on to talk about the nearly indescribable heartbreak that comes from crashing corners away from the best race he's ever had where the 450SX Win was all but sealed for the likable cowboy.
