This week's pod starts as a chilled two-man episode with Ed and Billy… then Tommy rings in mid-recording and turns it into absolute chaos. We get into a proper catch-up from a manic week: Wales enduro, Preston Docks testing, British Championship talk (it's looking seriously stacked), plus a bit of SuperEnduro chat and what's been going on behind the scenes. We also finally break down the new app the boys have been building: a paid community built around motocross and enduro with a social feed, forums, messenger, bike “garage” logging, track map, marketplace plans, and a full coaching library. On top of that, riders will be able to submit videos and get feedback from specific coaches, with more names potentially joining down the line.Expect tips that actually help (two things, not ten), proper van chat, questionable storytelling, and the kind of behind-the-scenes waffle you only get on this pod.➕ https://kecks.uk➕ FOLLOW US: Billy: https://www.instagram.com/billybolt57Ed: https://www.instagram.com/eddie_large1Tommy: https://www.instagram.com/tommysearle100➕ You can also support us on Patreon https://www.patreon.com/2pro1slow Hosted on Acast. For a while out there it looked as though Charles Leclerc and Ferrari would spoil the day of McLaren-Mercedes. As the wind blew from the west, rather than the east, Leclerc had taken the pole in the closing seconds of Q3. And, from the start, he appeared to be in control: Oscar Piastri sat in his mirrors but Lando Norris fell back in the wake of George Russell's Mercedes. Then, almost inevitably, it went wrong: Charles stopped early for his second set of Hard Pirellis and was thereafter never in the hunt: with floor damage, his Ferrari was over a second-a-lap off the pace. It then became a straight fight between the two McLaren drivers, with Zak Brown allowing them to race to the finish. Piastri, on a two-stop strategy, had the performance advantage - but Norris, on a one-stopper, had the advantage of track position. In this podcast, Peter looks back at the key elements not only of that race to the chequered flag but also of the weekend as a whole - at the amazing pole of Charles Leclerc, the dismal pace of Red Bull and the wretched weekend of Sir Lewis Hamilton. With thanks to Jetcraft, the world's largest buyer and seller of executive jets:https://jetcraft.comTo OEM Exclusive, the passionate suppliers of OEM upgrades for exotic and high-performance vehiclesTo TrackNinja, a lap-timer and data app designed to help users improve their on-track car and driver performance through analysis and an innovative Data Garage. In 1993, a 10-year-old Aaron Calafato got the opportunity of a lifetime: to race a killer whale named Shamu at SeaWorld in front of a roaring crowd. What started as a dream moment turned into public humiliation—and a soaking wet lesson he never forgot. Dale Earnhardt Jr. relives the 2001 24 Hours of Daytona as he sits down with Andy Pilgrim, Kelly Collins and Doug Fehan. As the Corvette racing program began to take shape in the early 2000s, Dale Jr. and his father Dale Earnhardt turned the racing world on its side by taking part in the crown jewel sports car event. Doug and Andy explain that the partnership actually formulated a year earlier when the team won the Petit Le Mans. Dale Sr. wrote Andy a letter congratulating him on the win and his impressive pass to do so, while expressing interest in teaming up. Corvette reached out through Gary Claudio, who had experience working with NASCAR through Pontiac's program and the deal was set for the 2001 running at Daytona. The guys recount the testing sessions at Sebring and Daytona leading up to the race and help paint a picture of Dale Sr. that listeners may be unfamiliar with. Dale Jr. recalls crashing the car immediately in his first session, as he set out to run it like his stock car. He explains that the tires needed a gradual warm up instead of a quick onset like he was used to, and it caught him off guard. Dale Sr. was all in on the experience and insisted on being involved in every meeting and decision surrounding the partnership. Dale Jr. shares a story about practicing driver swaps with his father during a NASCAR Cup weekend to help prepare them for their upcoming sports car debut. The interview also breaks down the race weekend, the plans to continue on with Corvette in the future and what the teammates have been up to in the years that followed. Hosts Chris and Dave began the show as a way of capturing the spirited chats the two co-workers had about the team around the office. The two have no pretense about being experts: they are just two opinionated shareholders who love the team, follow it closely, but don't always see the Packers fortunes eye to eye.The guys encourage comments and questions via their Twitter feed @PackersTherapy or email to packerstherapy@yahoo.com and read and respond to as many as they can during each show.Packers Therapy is a part of the Packers Talk family of podcasts, serving up five distinct podcasts to satisfy the most fervent of Packer fans. Discover how a homemade fuel injection system and meticulous tweaking led to an impressive 466 horsepower, ultimately resulting in a record-setting run at Bonneville. The story doesn't stop there; we delve into the late 60s and early 70s, recounting the achievements with a 29' Roadster and a Pontiac Trans Am that became the first door slammer to break a record over 300 MPH!But land speed racing is more than just the pursuit of records; it's about innovation and community. We discuss transitioning into custom car production, detailing the creation of unique metal-bodied cars inspired by 1932 Roadsters. Learn how a thriving component shop evolved into building the sought after Muroc Roadsters that led to building a street legal race car that drove to Bonneville and then raced over 200 MPH there. We've got something a little bit different for you on this episode. Earlier this year, to mark the 40th anniversary of Prodrive, Edd Straw paid a visit to its Banbury HQ to interview its co-founder and chairman David Richards. Many F1 fans will remember Richards through his time with the Benetton and BAR F1 teams, and may know that he's currently chairman of Motorsport UK. But he also came very close to bringing Prodrive - so successful in rallying, touring cars and sportscars - into F1 on two occasions. In fact, you could argue that Prodrive is the best team to never race in F1… We hope you enjoy Edd's wide-ranging chat with David Richards, who has many a tale to tell about F1 in the 2000s and 2010s. Vice President Kamala Harris's racial and ethnic identity is either an asset or a liability on the campaign trail — it depends on whom you ask. Many voters say they're ready to elect the nation's first Black and Asian female president, while some worry that racist backlash will impede her chances. Still others claim she's “not Black enough.” But, as the United States becomes more diverse and more people identify as multiracial, the Harris campaign is already shifting national discourse about identity politics. We'll talk about what Harris's candidacy – and voters' reactions to it – say about America's understanding of mixed race identity. Guests: Celeste Headlee , award-winning journalist formerly with National Public Radio, professional speaker and author of "We Need To Talk: How To Have Conversations That Matter" Sonja Diaz , civil rights attorney, policy expert and co-founder, Latina Futures 2050 Lab - an organization focused on promoting access to leadership roles for Latinas. Diaz is also the founding director emeritus, UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Institute. Karthick Ramakrishnan, executive director and founder, AAPI Data - a national research and policy organization focused on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. He is also a researcher at the Asian American Research Center, University of California, Berkeley.
