The Double Date with Marlo Thomas & Phil Donahue podcast is an absolute gem. The easy conversational interviewing style that Marlo and Phil have is what truly sets this podcast apart. It feels like you're sitting down with them in their living room, listening to them chat with their guests about what makes a successful relationship last. While many podcasts focus on the beginning of love, this podcast delves into the important topic of how to make a relationship endure. It's incredibly helpful and insightful.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the interviews themselves. They are so interesting and engaging, thanks to Marlo and Phil's skill as interviewers. They ask thought-provoking questions and really dive deep into the subject matter. It's clear that they have a genuine curiosity about relationships and marriage, which makes for compelling conversations with their guests.

Another great aspect of this podcast is Marlo and Phil themselves. They make such a fantastic couple and their chemistry shines through in each episode. Their banter is delightful and their love for each other is evident. It's refreshing to see a real-life couple who have been together for so long sharing their wisdom and experiences with others.

If there is one downside to this podcast, it's that each episode feels too short. I always find myself wanting more after finishing an episode. The conversations are so engrossing that it would be wonderful if the episodes were longer to allow for even deeper discussions.

In conclusion, The Double Date with Marlo Thomas & Phil Donahue podcast is a must-listen for anyone interested in relationships and marriage. Marlo and Phil are exceptional hosts who ask insightful questions, resulting in meaningful conversations with their guests. This podcast is not only informative but also entertaining, making it one of my top recommendations in the genre.

Fairy tales and Hollywood rom coms have taught us to expect perfection from a soul mate, but sex and relationships therapist Todd Baratz says we need to be more comfortable with the idea that a "good enough" partner will do.  Todd once bought into this perfection myth - wanting a boyfriend to meet all his needs without even being told. These expectations helped end the relationship. Many observers have tried to pinpoint the specific events that lead to Lennon-McCartney, the formidable songwriting partnership, transitioning to Lennon v. McCartney. But the fact is there is no single truth regarding why the beloved duo split. So instead of investigating the why, we look at the aftermath: legal battles, hurtful accusations in song and, ultimately, a sense of resolution. “Too Many People” opens Paul and Linda McCartney's 1971 album, “RAM” and serves as an opening to explore Lennon-McCartney's dissolution ahead of ultimately resolving their differences and rekindling a friendship. “McCartney: A Life in Lyrics” is a co-production between iHeart Media, MPL and Pushkin Industries. Rob says that, as much as he loves the '80s, he's careful not to wallow too much in nostalgia for the music, fashions and events of his youth. Laurie explains that happiness science backs him up on this: Research suggests our memories of the past can be very selective and very unreliable - causing us to misremember events and cast them in a rosy glow.
