Life is too complicated and we all need someone we can relate to. Join me on an exploration of life that will bring you love laughter and a lil dose of reality.
This past year has been quite challenging for me. As the final few episodes approach, I'll be reflecting on the podcast's progress over the past 4 years, discussing my current journey, and preparing for the new year. In this second part of the Reflect and Reset series, I'll be talking about embracing honesty, acknowledging my flaws, and striving to be a better person based on the lessons I've learned. Unfortunately, we won't have any N.O.W. Spotlight Artists to feature as we head into the new year, but I'm working on a great lineup to kick things off with a bang! If you have any suggestions for independent artists, please feel free to send an email. I would love to check them out and show my support. Actor, screenwriter, and producer Jonathan Burke joins the podcast to discuss his entrepreneurial journey in the TV, Film, and Broadway industry. We discussed his first memory of discovering his passion, how he has built himself up, and more. Of course, at the end of each episode, we feature a new artist for the N.O.W. spotlight segment. On today's episode I am talking all about support, support, support! It just so happens to be mental health awareness month and we could certainly use more supportive resources for that so I decided why not talk the meaning of support from my own perspective of existing in this world. Then later on I interview K-Davis the Hitman as the third installment to the Connecting the Past and Present short series. I explore why I feel the need to understand internal healing, what lead me to the lightbulb that went off in my head, and how I am challenging myself and you (listeners) at home to sit down with yourself and think about what our healing will look like in order to change our perspective on how we view life to a more self-positive and authentic version of ourselves. I finally get in depth about what my process has been like transitioning, I explain how many steps I've taken in my journey, and how this experience has made me feel now that I am being myself while working on not giving much thought to how anyone else will perceive me. I also explain how this process is different for everyone and I encourage you to show compassion for those in their own transition process because to put it in simple words this is just not easy. I also encourage you to self educate by checking out the website below and acknowledging that we are all different in our own ways but at the end of the day we are all just humans trying to live our true authentic lives. It's a new month for a fresh start! I have been experiencing some tough times these past couple months and what better way to figure them out than discussing them here on the podcast. On today's episode I talk about some adult hardships that aren't really talked about much because we fall in pits where we would rather not talk about our downfalls in life and only discuss when everything is all good. I discuss my mental and emotional health since losing my job, other unfortunate hardships that can happen that also take a toll on your health, and what has been my motivation to "keep moving forward"!
