How To Budget To Get A Headstart - Hanging With Hardcore #27
In today's episode, the boys go through 6 key principles on how to build wealth. These principles are: 1. You can't get rich from your Job alone. 2. Buy Assets, not Liabilities. 3. Learn to budget. 4. Pay yourself first. 5. How “cash is king” is not a helpful statement. 6. Compound Interest is key. Once you understand all of these basic principles, the importance of investing will start to become clearer. So join Sameer Patil, Dylan Weston, Daniel Trease and Christopher Mampallil as we breakdown each principle.
n today's episode, the boys turn to personal stories to relay how having more money could have helped us or the people around us in the past. Having lots of money can be demonised by others. A lot of people avoid trying to create long term wealth for this reason. But we believe this isn't the right way of thinking about money and wealth. Having the knowledge to create large amounts of wealth can help secure you, your family, the people around you, and eventually it can be used to help people in need. This is what we aim to do with Hardcore Headstart, with our goal of Donating $1billion as a collective to people in need. So sit down with Daniel Trease, Sameer Patil, Dylan Weston, and Christopher Mampallil as we discuss Why Money is important to us. Working for someone else can suck, especially if you feel that job is draining you most days. Creating a good strategy to leave your job is definitely a great idea. But, that initial job can leave you with so much life experience. The way we look at it is, rather than starting your own company from scratch, why not join a pre existing company and crush it in that. This allows you to gain experiences you can transfer onto your future endeavours, as well as make an income that you can invest. Now the work life becomes more like a game that you can conquer, rather than something you're stuck in. This therefore leaves us with many questions on how to become a better employee. So sit down with Sameer Patil, Dylan Weston, Daniel Trease and Christopher Mampallil, as we take you through the process of becoming the best employee that can kill it in any setting.
Moving out of your parents home for the first time, especially if you're in your late teens to mid 20's sounds scary. But if there's anything we've learnt here at Hardcore Headstart, its that doing things that scare you is what makes you a stronger person. Moving out can help you get a different perspective on life, as well as build maturity, and you can use this perspective to help the others around you become better versions of themselves. Once you do move out, you learn so many life skills that you could have never learnt living with your parents. You don't really realise how much your parents do for you until you actually move out. Then to go next level we discuss how to start your own Dojo. What we call the “Dojo” is an environment we've for ultimate learning and growing. To create a Dojo, you essentially want to find, or build people into like minded individuals that have similar goals and visions to you. You'll notice being a part of a Dojo can help accelerate the growth of yourself and the others around you. So join Sameer Patil, Dylan Weston, Daniel Trease and Christopher Mampallil, as we guide you through the process of moving out and starting your own Dojo.
Your Reputation Precedes You - Hanging With Hardcore #22
"Law of Attraction" and "Visualisation" are real, and most people want to know how they work. Conor McGregor is one of our heroes because he is a living example of how you can use law of attraction to bring you success in life. There is however a misconception about this topic, people think you can get success by just visualising it, however, in today's video we explain why that is not the case. The reality is that there needs to be a combination of visualisation and appropriate structure action on a consistent manner that makes Law of Attraction work. It is true that whatever energy you put out that gets attracted back towards you. There is a great quote by Thomas Jefferson and it goes like this, "I find the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have". The "luck" is not really luck, more so attraction of success with the energy and intention from the hard work. Using Law of Attraction as another tool to realign your brain with success is extremely powerful and you should definitely give it a go. In this episode Dylan Weston, Sameer Patil, Daniel Trease and Christopher Mampallil sit down to discuss their personal experiences with using law of attraction and how its impacted them in their journey.
YOLO (You Only Live Once) is a packed phrase. It is true, You do Only live once. And our first instinct after recognising that can be to go out and have fun. Enjoy the weekends, party, travel etc. But unfortunately doing these things require a lot of money. Most people turn to their jobs for money to fund this. But why you would spend your best hours during the week to work hard and save up money, just to spend it all on the weekend, or one trip? if you do only live once, wouldn't you want to live it to your maximum potential? This is where sacrifice is required. It's true, if you sacrifice for 3-5 years and invest your money and mind in the right places you can really live a life of High quality.

Welcome to the Hanging With Hardcore podcast! If you've made it this far into our podcast series that means you are interested in your personal development. Unfortunately, that also means that you are about to get hit by algorithm with marketers shilling you courses and products that distract you along your personal development journey, we have fallen for many of these in the past. As investors we get marketed crypto scams related to what coins are hot and what NFT you should buy to 1000x your money overnight. Although this seems like a scam to most people, there are unfortunately some people that get scammed and we are here to shed light on this area. In this episode of Hanging with Hardcore, Sameer Patil, Daniel Trease and Dylan Weston sit down to discuss how you can recognise content that's trying to scam you and avoid getting scammed yourself. An excellent scam checker/filter you can use is a personal called Coffezilla. Coffeezilla is an internet detective who spots scams and calls them out on his channel so that people are aware of what the scam is, who is behind it and how it will affect you. A good rule of thumb when researching someone is to see if Coffeezilla has made a video about that person on his channel, steer clear of that person if you find a video!
Understanding hardwork and leverage is critical to get a headstart in your life. In today's day and age we are constantly fed the narrative that if you don't work hard then you won't achieve success in life, although that is true in most cases, we at Hardcore Headstart believe that working smart outweighs working hard to achieve long term success in life. We acquired this thinking from Naval Ravikant who says if you have great judgement on what to work on and who to work with in today's world, you will achieve greater success than purely relying on the action of "hard work". For example, you can work hard as a dishwasher for minimum wage or you can work on the next big project at SpaceX/Tesla and acquire equity in the company. In both scenarios you are working hard but the end results are not the same. Therefore, the key to achieving the outcome you set for yourself is judgement and not just hard work, and this is made possible in today's world with access to leverage in the forms of people, finance, code, robotics and machines. It's never been a better time in history to be a human to get what you want in life. In the episode of Hanging with Hardcore, Christopher Mampallil, Sameer Patil, Daniel Trease and Dylan Weston break down what hard work has become in today's world of social media, entrepreneurship and the mental health dilemma. We would like to give credit to Naval Ravikant who has provided Hardcore Headstart with so much value in the form of knowledge, mindset and identifying different ways of thinking, we highly recommend watching Naval Ravikant's content on YouTube.

On last week's episode of Hanging With Hardcore we had Johnny Butler on the show. One of Johnny's key messages that helped him lose 60kg in 18 months was the idea of extreme ownership. We thought it this was such an important idea that we had to dedicate this whole episode to it. On the couch this week we have Dylan Weston, Daniel Trease, Christopher Mampallil and Sameer Patil. Here at Hardcore we back extreme ownership 100%. Why? Because extreme ownership is the mindset that leads to a life of empowerment. It pushes you to act and take control of your life rather than just taking it easy and playing the weak victim. Extreme ownership is a life principle formalised by retired Navy Seals Jocko Willink and Leif Babbin. Our goal at Hardcore Headstart is to create a culture of like minded individuals that want to continuously improve themselves for the better. In turn give back in abundance to people in need.
On this episode of Hanging With Hardcore we interview our friend Johnny Butler. We believe there are a lot of people out there that are currently in a similar scenario to Johnny, we hope this podcast will inspire you to make the change in your life to become the hero of your own journey and to become a "Savage".
