STREETWEAR! Sorta? The remaining designers make their way into one of the most beloved challenges ever – only, it doesn't go how they think it might. Ethan has a breakdown (not our Utica!), one of the twins mouths off (shock), and with only two tops and two bottoms, this episode doesn't move the design gauge, but impacts the social game big time! All this, plus a rundown of Ethan at Roscoe's on an all new X Is For Show! X IS FOR SHOW is a talk show for your favorite media, the same way THE OFFICE was a documentary about a paper company. Every week, THE ACTION PACK gathers to discuss a wide range of entertainment media and news, from film & TV to comics to gaming, music, and beyond. Led by showrunner NICO (@NicoAction) and producer KEVO (@KevoReally), as well as a variety of friends and special guests, these LIVE discussions are not to be missed - so be sure to tune in and join us for all the fun!
Adam Singer shares his 25-year journey in coaching BJJ and MMA, explaining how ecological dynamics and the constraints-led approach creates more effective grapplers despite less technical instruction.• SBG's "aliveness" approach filters effective techniques through realistic testing• Traditional drilling methods often fail to transfer to live situations• Ecological coaching creates environments where students learn through problem-solving• Students become effective before becoming efficient in their movements• Culture, environment, method and athletes function as one interconnected system• Belt promotions based on effectiveness against peers rather than technical knowledge• Students know fewer named techniques but perform better in live rolling• Scaling drills through modified constraints allows mixed-level training• Creating representative designs helps techniques emerge naturally• The coach's role is primarily to create optimal environments, not to provide informationIf you're interested in learning more about ecological coaching, follow Adam on Instagram @AdamSingerSBG where he shares insights and training methods from his ongoing exploration of coaching methodologies.Support the showGET OUR FREE EMAILS - https://pjfitnesscoaching.aweb.page/GrapplersPerspective Co-Hosts: Paul Johnson (Glasses) and Danny Allen (Beard)Insta - https://www.instagram.com/bodyforbjj and https://www.instagram.com/rollingstrongbjj Audio Edited by Hayden Doerr (https://www.instagram.com/julymedialabs)Video Edited, and Produced by Paul Johnson Looking to find, organise or manage seminars? At Coral Capital's Tokyo HQ, artist–entrepreneur VERBAL (m-flo rapper and producer, AMBUSH® Co-Founder, and SŌMATŌ sake founder) sits down with James Riney and Tiffany Kayo to unpack how Japan's next cultural wave is being built at the intersection of streetwear, music, and frontier tech. They explore why a Tokyo mindset still captivates tastemakers from Pharrell to Prada, and what has to change for Japan's creators to capture Silicon-Valley-level scale. The conversation dives into:• Streetwear's original “soft-power” playbook — how Nigo, Pharrell, and a Harajuku network turned Japanese design into hip-hop currency and seeded brands like AMBUSH®.• Two SKUs and a Paris runway — why VERBAL and Yoon Ahn sold a majority stake in AMBUSH®, what they learned inside New Guards Group / Farfetch, and why they just bought it all back.• Craft sake, misunderstood luxury — the cold-chain, labeling, and pricing gaps keeping nihon-shu under-valued abroad, and how SŌMATŌ plans to rebrand the category for Michelin tables.• AI, Web3, and VTubers — a realist's take on Suno-generated melodies, token-gated superfans, and the virtual-idol economy Japan is quietly leading.• Lessons from K-Pop's public-private machine — what Japan can borrow (and what it shouldn't) to export its own IP at scale. If you're working on something ambitious, we'd love to hear from you at Coral Capital!Get in touch with us here: bit.ly/contactcoralConnect with VERBAL: X: https://x.com/VERBAL_AMBUSH Connect with James:X: https://x.com/james_rineyLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamesrineyConnect with Tiffany:X: https://x.com/tiffanykayoLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tiffanykayo/

Barcelona is a city that can't be separated from its art–you might picture Gaudí architecture, Picasso paintings, or flamenco and jazz spilling onto the streets and into the night. But there's another art scene that's breaking into the mainstream from the margins–led by the city's street vendors, known as manteros. Listen to how this group of people, often immigrants without legal protections or rights to work in Spain, fought to form a union to gain the voice they needed, and ended up creating a global and people-centered fashion-label that highlights human rights in the process. This episode originally aired July 28, 2022.Want to help shape TED's shows going forward?
