We say, “I'm here for you” to show we care for someone, but it’s not as easy to say, “I'm here for me” to ourselves. Yet it’s the best possible self-care—the kind that comes from the inside: self-awareness, self-compassion, self-respect, self-integrity. The kind that comes from finding the courage to illuminate our dark corners and do the hard, messy work to heal our wounds so we can show up for ourselves, find purpose in our lives, and navigate our way to the path that’s meant for us. Here For Me was born out of host Nicole Christie’s own story of healing and discovery, which taught her the importance of being her own rock and recognizing how she was showing up to life in ways that didn’t serve her. On Here For Me, Nicole talks with people about their life disruptions, derailments, and transitions, and how they steered their lives back on course, learning to show up for themselves with the love, honor, compassion, and encouragement they readily give to others. The Here For Me podcast is a refreshing new addition to the world of self-care and mental health podcasts. Hosted by psychologist Nicole Christie, this podcast delves into topics of stress, trauma, resilience, and self-compassion with a unique blend of vulnerability and humor that is both relatable and inspiring.

One of the best aspects of The Here For Me podcast is Nicole's ability to share her own personal stories in a way that feels incredibly authentic and engaging. Her insights into stress responses, self-awareness, and self-compassion are valuable lessons that listeners can apply in their own lives. Nicole's soothing voice and storytelling skills make each episode feel like a conversation with a wise friend who truly understands the challenges of navigating life's ups and downs.

On the flip side, one potential drawback of The Here For Me podcast is that it may not appeal to listeners who prefer more structured or formal discussions on mental health topics. Some episodes may veer off into personal anecdotes or humorous asides that could potentially detract from the overall message for those seeking more straightforward advice or guidance.

In conclusion, The Here For Me podcast offers a refreshing take on self-care and mental health education through the lens of someone who has navigated their own battles with stress and trauma. Nicole Christie's authenticity, wisdom, and storytelling skills make this podcast a valuable resource for anyone looking to prioritize their well-being and cultivate resilience in the face of life's challenges. Tune in for insightful conversations that will leave you feeling inspired and empowered to take better care of yourself.
