✨ Join the 7-Day Become Her Abroad Challenge here!Moving abroad can create so much internal noise that it becomes difficult to hear yourself clearly. Your thoughts, emotions, fears, and the pressure to make the “right” decisions can become so loud that your intuition feels completely out of reach. In this episode, we explore the difference between intuition, thoughts, and emotions—and why reconnecting with that quiet, grounded inner knowing can be such an important part of navigating an identity shift abroad. You'll also learn how creating safety, building awareness, understanding your patterns, and developing self-trust can help you turn down the noise and reconnect with yourself.
What if some of the things you believe about yourself aren't actually facts? They're just stories you've repeated so many times that they started to feel like the truth. I've never been good with money. I always quit. I'm just not a confident person. I can't stick with anything. I'm too old to start over. I always choose the wrong people. I'm not good at relationships. I just don't have enough discipline. People always leave. This is just who I am. The problem is, your brain doesn't just tell the story. It starts looking for evidence to prove it. And before you know it, the story you believe begins shaping the decisions you make, the opportunities you take (or don't), the conversations you avoid, the relationships you choose, and ultimately, the life you create. Because the evidence you create today becomes fuel for the story you tell yourself tomorrow. In this episode, I'm talking about the stories quietly running your life, how your brain turns repeated thoughts into "proof," and why changing what you believe about yourself can change everything that comes after it. This is one of the reasons I love coaching so much. I've experienced every kind of coaching myself—from private coaching to group coaching—and I'm still amazed when my own coach uncovers a story I've been carrying that I didn't even realize was there. And I see the same thing happen with the women I coach. Once you can see the story, you can question it. Once you question it, you can stop automatically living from it. And once you begin creating different evidence, you give yourself something new to believe. Because while there is so much in this world you cannot control, you can begin changing what you think, how you respond, and what you choose to do next. And that work changes everything. Becoming Her Volume 2 begins THIS Saturday, August 29th, and enrollment closes THIS Friday, August 28th. Volume 2 brings new topics, deeper conversations, an enhanced workbook, and an entirely new framework that I'm teaching for the first time inside Becoming Her. This framework is designed to help you uncover the beliefs, stories, and patterns operating underneath the surface—the ones influencing your choices before you even realize they're there—and give you a practical way to begin creating evidence for something different. Not to manufacture some shiny "new version" of yourself. But to uncover the woman you've always been capable of becoming underneath the old beliefs, limiting thoughts, and stories that have been deciding what's possible for you. If you've been waiting to join us, this is it. Save your spot before enrollment closes Friday. And one more incredible update: Unstoppable November 2026 is officially SOLD OUT! This November, a group of women will join me for three days at our luxury VIP retreat, stepping away from the noise of everyday life to dive deeply into the work, experience intentionally curated surprises, have the conversations we don't always make space for, laugh—a lot—and come back home to themselves. I cannot wait. But first… Becoming Her Volume 2 starts Saturday. Let's uncover the stories you've been living from, and start writing some better ones.

There's a strange part of growth we don't talk about enough. We talk a lot about becoming the next version of ourselves. About building confidence, changing habits, thinking differently, making better choices, and creating a life that feels more aligned with who we want to be. But becoming her doesn't only mean gaining something. Sometimes, it means letting something go. In this episode, I share a simple moment from Pilates that reminded her how easily an old story can become a rule we live by. I had almost convinced myself not to go because mat Pilates was "harder," my back might hurt, and getting down on the floor just wasn't for me anymore. Except none of that turned out to be true. I went. I enjoyed it. And I would have regretted allowing an old story to make the decision for me. That's how so many of our beliefs work. They may have made sense once. They may have protected us, helped us cope, or carried us through a difficult season. But eventually, we have to ask whether the woman who needed those stories is still the woman we want making our decisions today. Because the woman who got you through your hardest years may not be the woman who leads you into your happiest years. That doesn't mean rejecting who you were. It means honoring her. The younger version of you who was scared. The woman who didn't have confidence yet. The woman who stayed, left, started over, survived heartbreak, numbed herself, people-pleased, overworked, overate, shut down, or did whatever she knew how to do to make it through. She wasn't trying to ruin your life. She was trying to protect you with the tools she had. And maybe instead of looking back at her with shame, the next step is simply saying: Thank you. You got me here. But I can take it from here. Growth isn't always about adding more. Sometimes it's subtraction—releasing perfection, guilt, resentment, old expectations, the need for everyone to approve of you, and the belief that rest or love or happiness must somehow be earned. You can appreciate who you've been without asking her to lead the rest of your life. And that is so much of the work inside Becoming Her: Volume 2. Becoming Her isn't about turning yourself into someone completely different. It's about releasing the beliefs, patterns, expectations, and survival strategies that have kept you from fully living as the woman you already know you're capable of being. Enrollment for Becoming Her: Volume 2 is open now through August 28. If you're ready to stop allowing old versions of yourself to make decisions for the life you're creating now, this is your invitation. Because the woman you were deserves your compassion. The woman you are deserves your presence. And the woman you're becoming deserves your courage. One thought. One choice. One brave step at a time.

Have you ever caught yourself saying yes... when every part of you wanted to say no? People-pleasing isn't always obvious. It doesn't just look like overcommitting or constantly saying yes. Sometimes it looks like staying quiet when you have something to say because you're afraid of being judged. Sometimes it looks like avoiding conflict, apologizing for things that were never your fault, or making yourself smaller just to keep everyone else comfortable. Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that keeping everyone else happy kept us safe. Maybe it kept the peace in your home. Maybe it earned you love, approval, or praise. Maybe you believed it would keep people from leaving or keep you from disappointing someone. Over time, your nervous system learned that if everyone else was okay... then you were okay. But eventually, every yes to everyone else quietly becomes a no to yourself. You don't lose yourself overnight. It happens one small decision at a time. You stop making time for the hobbies that once brought you joy. You stop caring for your body because everyone else's needs come first. You stop dreaming because it feels selfish to want more. In this episode, I'm talking about the woman behind the yes—the version of you that's been trying so hard to be everything for everyone else that you've forgotten how to ask yourself what you actually want. Because real transformation doesn't happen through one giant life-changing moment. It happens through one small choice at a time. One honest conversation. One healthy boundary. One courageous no. One intentional yes. If you've been wondering how to stop repeating these patterns and finally become the woman who chooses herself without guilt, this is exactly the work we're doing inside Becoming Her. Enrollment for Becoming Her: Volume 2 is open through August 28. You can click here to save your spot. Because the life you've always dreamed of isn't built in one giant leap—it's built one intentional decision at a time. And every one of those decisions is a vote for the woman you're becoming.

Yes... she lost 18 pounds without dieting. But the biggest transformation was learning to trust herself around food. We talk about emotional eating, food noise, learning the difference between physical hunger and mental hunger, why food used to be "the main event," and how changing her relationship with herself changed everything else. If you've ever felt like food takes up too much space in your mind... if you've ever wondered whether it's possible to enjoy pizza, vacations, and celebrations without feeling out of control... this conversation will give you hope.Because lasting weight loss isn't about becoming more disciplined. It's about becoming a different woman. The life you're living isn't shaped only by what has happened to you. It's shaped by the story you've been telling yourself about what happened. Somewhere along the way, many of us turned difficult moments into lifelong identities. I'm not confident. I always quit. I'm too old. I'm terrible at relationships. I never finish what I start. The problem isn't just the thought, it's what happens when it becomes the lens through which you see yourself. Because every time you begin a sentence with "I am," your brain starts looking for evidence to prove it true. In this episode, I'm talking about how the stories you repeat become the identities you live from, and why so many of us stay stuck in patterns that feel impossible to change. Not because that's who we are, but because our actions naturally align with the story we've believed for years. The good news? Just because you've repeated a story doesn't make it true. You'll learn how to become aware of the beliefs hiding behind your daily thoughts, question whether they're actually true or simply familiar, and begin writing a new story—one that feels believable, empowering, and aligned with the woman you're becoming. Because maybe what you've been calling your identity was only one chapter... and one chapter never gets to write the ending of your story. If this episode resonates with you, Becoming Her is now open for enrollment. Inside the program, we do the deeper work of uncovering the beliefs and stories that have quietly shaped your identity for years—so you can finally stop living from old narratives and start becoming the woman you were created to be.

✨ Join the 7-Day Become Her Abroad Challenge here! What happens when you've lived in multiple countries, speak multiple languages, and have had to reinvent yourself over and over again? In this episode, I'm joined by fellow expat Meg as she shares her incredible journey of becoming—not just abroad, but within herself. From working on a cruise ship and experiencing life across different cultures to speaking multiple languages (and noticing how different parts of her personality emerge in each one), Meg's offers a refreshingly honest perspective on what it means to continually adapt, grow, and redefine yourself. Now just six weeks into her newest chapter in Valencia, Spain, we talk about the emotional side of starting over once again, finding your footing in a new place, and embracing the uncertainty that often comes with building a life abroad.Whether you're preparing for your first international move or you've been living abroad for years, this conversation is a beautiful reminder that every new chapter invites us to rediscover who we are.And if you are interested in Meg's english support services or simply want to reach out and tell her how amazing she is, you can find her instagram here or go straight to booking a call with her here.
So many women want different results, yet keep holding onto the same identity that's been shaping their choices for years. If you've ever described yourself as a people pleaser, anxious, not confident, terrible with money, too busy, or simply "that's just who I am," this episode is for you. The truth is, those labels aren't facts. They're stories you've repeated long enough to believe. Somewhere along the way, life taught you who you thought you had to become in order to survive—but survival was never meant to be your permanent identity. In this episode, I'm talking about why lasting change isn't created by chasing bigger goals, but by becoming a different version of yourself through the small, consistent choices you make every day. Because your habits shape your lifestyle, your lifestyle shapes your identity, and your identity will always determine the direction of your life. You'll also be challenged to ask yourself: Who have I been pretending to be because it feels safe? What identity am I finally ready to let go of? Who is the woman I am becoming? Because Becoming Her isn't about becoming someone you're not. It's about letting go of the version of yourself that was built out of fear, and becoming more of the woman you were always created to be. And if you're ready to stop simply thinking about becoming her and actually start living as her, Becoming Her is currently open for enrollment. Over the next six months, you'll learn how to create lasting change by transforming the habits, beliefs, and identity that shape your everyday life—so you can become the woman you've always been capable of being. Send us Fan MailWhy "I'm Becoming Her" Might Be the Most Comfortable Lie You Tell Yourself On language, money scripts and the identity you're building every time you open your mouthThis week's episode came together from about four different places, and I'm not going to pretend it didn't. But it's also all kind of about the same thing: the words we use, the identities they're subtly building, and the very comfortable trap hiding inside one of the words we use most in this space.I start the episode talking about my VIP day with the brilliant Sue Jones-Miranda, human design queen and someone who has this unsettling ability to see straight through you in the best possible way. I'd been doing all the things, finishing the book, planning the September event, pushing forward on every front at once, and I could feel the burnout highway starting to appear on the horizon. The day with Sue brought me back to myself, back to what actually lights me up, writing and in-person connection, and reminded me that even when this is what you teach, it can be genuinely hard to see it in yourself. Then a few days later, at a property investing event of all places, a stranger said something to me that stopped me in my tracks.I'd casually said, more than once, that I'm financially illiterate. And he looked at me and said, quite gently but quite directly: well, that's the problem, isn't it. The way you're speaking about it.And he was completely right. In the episode I get into why that landed so hard, including the inheritance of that language from childhood, my dad's obsession with pensions, the rebellious kid in me who switched off, and the years of financial abuse in my marriage that reinforced an identity around money I've been carrying ever since. It was one of those moments where you realise a script is still running the show long after the circumstances that created it are gone.Which brings me to Abracadabra and why that is literally a magic word. And then there's the word I think we all need to be a lot more careful with. Becoming. On the surface, it sounds like exactly the right word for this work. And in some ways it is. We need the vision. We need to know who we want to become. But becoming lives in the future tense, and the future tense is a very comfortable place to park your dreams indefinitely. Becoming, left unchecked, turns into permission to wait. It becomes a polite, socially acceptable way of saying later, babe. The shift I talk about in this episode isn't to stop having the vision. It's to stop letting her live permanently in the future tense and bring her into the now. Not become her eventually. Be her now. There's a difference, and it's everything.I close on the difference between predictability and possibility, and why so many of us choose the devil we know over the woman we're actually capable of being. Certainty isn't coming. But trust? That's available right now.In this episode:Why I nearly burnt out again and what a VIP day with Sue Jones-Miranda reminded me about coming back to myselfThe moment a stranger at a property event called out exactly what my language was building in real timeFinancial abuse, inherited money scripts and the identities we carry long after the circumstances are goneAbracadabra: I create as I speak, and what that actually means for the words you're using every dayThe trap inside the word "becoming" and why it might be keeping your dream permanently in the future tensePredictability versus possibility, and why trust is the only currency that actually matters hereMentioned in this episode:The EDIT Your Life Journal, available on Amazon now in paperback and hardbackIf this episode landed for you, please share it with the woman in your life who needs to hear it. Episode 319 | The Gift Hidden in the Waiting What if the season you're trying so desperately to rush through is the very one changing you the most? It's easy to look around and believe you should be farther along by now. Whether it's your health, your relationships, your finances, your confidence, your business, or your personal growth, it's tempting to believe that not being where you want to be means you've somehow failed. But what if you're exactly where growth happens? In this episode, Shannan shares why acceptance isn't giving up or settling—it's choosing to stop fighting reality so you can move forward with peace instead of resistance. Because acceptance and patience go hand in hand. One allows you to embrace today's chapter, while the other reminds you the story isn't over. You'll discover why resistance creates suffering, why patience is anything but passive, and how some of life's most meaningful growth happens quietly, repetitively, and often without us even noticing. If you've been feeling frustrated by the pace of your progress, this episode is an invitation to stop asking, "Why am I not there yet?" and start asking, "What is this season trying to grow in me?" Because maybe this season isn't about arriving. Maybe it's about becoming. The truth is, you don't need to become a completely different person. Everything you're looking for is already within you. Becoming Her isn't about creating a new version of yourself—it's about uncovering the woman you've always been capable of becoming. The woman you're becoming cannot be rushed. Flowers bloom in their own season. Don't mistake slow for stuck.

Your doctor told you everything looks fine. But you know it's not. In this episode, Karolina sits down with Leslie Jackson, functional nutritionist and founder of the Becoming Her movement, to talk about what's actually happening in the bodies of high-performing women, why conventional medicine keeps missing it, and what it really takes to operate at your peak without burning your body to the ground. Leslie went from panic attacks in Ubers, misdiagnosed ADHD, and propping herself up with IV drips just to function in enterprise sales…to becoming the wellness-obsessed sales rep who outperformed everyone in the room, then pivoting to build a functional nutrition practice dedicated to ambitious women who refuse to settle for feeling mediocre in their own bodies. IN THIS EPISODE: The hormone nobody is testing for, and why it explains the gap Why you might be experiencing early menopause symptoms decades too soon The express lane past everyone who is still drinking (Leslie says it boldly) The three unsexy lifestyle non-negotiables that move the needle more than any supplement Why your gut health is secretly tanking your business performance How healing internal inflammation creates more capacity to hold your big external goals If you've ever felt like your body is working against you instead of for you, this episode is for you. Welcome back to "Becoming Her" EP8What if you're not confused…what if you already know the answer, but you're just not acting on it?That might feel a little uncomfortable. But stay with me.In this episode, we're going to look at something most people avoid. It's not about finding more clarity. It's about something else that's been quietly holding you back…and once you see it, you can't unsee it.As you listen, you'll start to notice your own patterns. You'll feel that “oh… that's me” moment. You'll understand why you've been feeling stuck, even when you know what you want. And you'll see what actually needs to shift so you can move forward. Here's something simple you can try today: Pause for a moment and ask yourself, "What is one thing I already know I need to do… but I keep putting off?”Don't overthink it. Just notice the answer. That awareness alone is powerful. If you're ready to stop going in circles and finally understand what's really going on,→ listen to this episode.Because there's one small shift in here that can change everything.
Thank you for listening to EP 6 of "Becoming Her"What if the reason your life doesn't match your vision… isn't about working harder? What if it's about what you've been quietly accepting every single day? That part… most people never look at.In this episode, we're going to open that up.Not in a heavy way.But in a real, honest way that might shift how you see your life right now.Because the gap you feel… it's not what you think it is.And once you see it, you won't be able to unsee it.While you listen, you might feel a little called out.Maybe even uncomfortable for a moment. But also, clear.Like things are finally making sense. You'll start to see why you've been stuck in the same patterns…And what actually needs to change (it's simpler than you think). Here's something small you can try today:Pause once before you say yes to something.Ask yourself,“Do I really want this… or am I just used to allowing it?”This comes from simple awareness work used in coaching and behavior change.Small moments like this are where real change starts. If this already has you thinking…Then this episode is going to hit deeper.Because one shift in how you see this… can change everything.Remember, you have full control of the wheel. What if you are not stuck at all? What if you've just been following rules you never chose?Welcome to Becoming Her.Most women think they need more discipline, more clarity, or a better plan. But what if that's not the real problem? What if the way you think, decide, and live… was trained into you a long time ago?In this episode, we're going to talk about the invisible rules you've been living by. The ones that sound normal. The ones you don't question. And the ones that may be quietly holding you back without you even noticing. As you listen, you may feel a mix of things. You might feel seen. You might feel surprised. You might even start to notice thoughts you've never questioned before. You'll begin to understand why your life can look good on the outside but still feel off on the inside. And you'll start to see how small shifts in thinking can open new choices for you. Here's something simple to try after this episode. Take a piece of paper and write down one rule you've been living by.Maybe it's “I shouldn't want too much. "Or “I have to keep everyone happy.”Then ask yourself: "Is this actually true for me today?”This kind of reflection is used in mindset and coaching work to help people break old patterns and think more clearly about their choices. There's one question later in this episode that might change how you see your life right now… and once you hear it, you can't unsee it.So go listen to this episode. You might realize you were never stuck…You were just living by rules that were never yours.
Have you ever asked yourself, “Why do I feel stuck?”Your life might look good from the outside. You work hard. You help people. You handle your responsibilities. People trust you.But inside, something feels off. You can't fully explain it. And then another voice says, “You should be grateful. Other people have it harder.” So, you ignore the feeling and keep going. In this episode of Becoming Her, we are going to talk about that quiet feeling many capable women have but rarely say out loud. Feeling stuck does not always mean something is wrong. Sometimes it means you are growing and starting to want something different in your life.As you listen, you may start to understand why your priorities are changing. You may realize why the life that once felt right now feels a little tight. And you may begin to see that this feeling is not failure. It may actually be a signal that a new chapter of your life is ready to begin. Here is something simple you can try after listening. Take a few minutes and ask yourself one question:“If nothing in my life changed for the next five years, how would I feel?”Write your honest answer down. Research shows that writing your thoughts helps bring clarity and helps you understand what you truly want. There is also one question later in this episode that might change how you see your life right now.So, press play and listen to this episode. You may discover that feeling stuck is actually the start of something new.Remember, you have full control of the wheel.xoNancy Learn more about Nancy Davidson through the following links: https://empowerwithnancy.com/ https://www.instagram.com/empowerwithnancy/ https://www.facebook.com/empowermentpathways https://www.linkedin.com/in/empowerwithnancy/ https://www.youtube.com/@EmpowermentMentorNancy
What happens when you decide you're done living the same year twice? In this powerful Women's History Month episode of Pushing Forward with Alycia, Kristina Watts shares the raw, disciplined, identity-shifting journey that changed everything. This isn't just a story about weight loss. It's about betting on yourself before anyone else understands. It's about quieting the noise. It's about standing at mile five of your life and realizing, I belong here. Kristina is a wife, mom of three, multipreneur, and founder of a multiple seven-figure life insurance agency. But three years ago, she was 274 pounds, rebuilding financially after losing a business, and facing the hardest opponent of all: Herself. From using GLP-1 medication amid criticism… To losing 130 pounds… To running her first marathon at the Every Woman's Marathon… To completing Andy Frisella's 75 Hard and then extending it to 365 days… This episode is about discipline, identity, leadership, and declaring your own “I Did It” year.
What if the reason you feel behind… isn't because you are behind? What if it's because you're running a race you never chose?Welcome to Episode Three of Becoming Her.Today, I'm talking to the woman who is smart, capable, and high performing… and still goes to bed thinking, “I should be further by now.” From the outside, you look successful. People trust you. They depend on you. They praise you. But inside, the bar keeps moving. The win never feels like a win for long. And no matter what you achieve, there's that quiet voice asking, “What's next?”In this episode, we're going to unpack where that voice comes from. We'll talk about why your brain focuses on gaps instead of growth. Why do you minimize your wins? Why rest can feel uncomfortable. The one shift that separates proving your worth from actually owning it. There's a question I ask my clients that usually stops them in their tracks, and when you hear it, it might do the same for you.As you listen, you'll probably feel seen. Maybe a little called out. Maybe even relieved. You'll start to understand why feeling “not enough” isn't weakness, it's a pattern. And patterns can change. You'll learn how to measure yourself differently, how to quiet that moving finish line, and how to build confidence that isn't tied to constant performance. Here's something simple to try after this episode. When you complete something today, big or small, pause and ask yourself: “What did this require of me?”Not “Was it perfect?” Not “Was it better than hers?”Just what did it require? Courage? Focus? Patience? Emotional control? This practice is rooted in cognitive behavioral techniques that help retrain the brain to notice effort and growth instead of only scanning for mistakes. Over time, it rewires how you see yourself. If any part of this already feels familiar, this episode is going to hit home. And near the end, I share one shift that changes how you see your value, especially if your identity has been tied to achievement for years.Go listen to this episode. You might realize you were never behind in the first place.Remember, you have full control of the wheel. With lots of love,NancyPress play and listen to this episode now.

Cultivating H.E.R. Space: Uplifting Conversations for the Black Woman
Hey lady! You know we’re all about our gentle growth and continuous improvement over here so we’re excited to share an episode that will help grow your toolkit for whatever life may bring your way.As we heal and process it’s common to notice where your childhood has yet again shaped your behavior and caused patterns that at one time seemed normal but now no longer serve you. Growing up in environments where our caregivers were doing the best they could with the tools they had means that we may not have always had the space to be your full self. And, if you grew up in a Black household it’s entirely plausible to not be allowed to feel your feelings and bury them instead. But, we’re grown now and you are not only allowed to feel your feelings but you are encouraged to and there are frameworks that can help. This week, Dr. Dom and Terri present the RULER method, a powerful tool that can help you make your way through difficult and complex emotions so that you can remain in your sovereignty and stand in your integrity. This five-step method can help you meet life as it comes, which will help you loosen the grip of needing to control life. Understanding your emotions offers you more choice in your experience, which can lead to feeling more stable, grounded and having increased capacity to feel the richness and beauty that life has to offer you. Using RULER in Real Life· Recognizing: “How do I know what I’m feeling? What signals does my body send?”· Understanding: “Where did this emotion come from? Is it layered with past wounds?”· Labeling: Talk about the power of language—using words like “disrespected” vs “angry.”· Expressing: “Who is safe to share this with? What’s an empowered way to show this?”· Regulating: Tools and tips (breathwork, journaling, therapy, movement, prayer, etc.)Quote of the Day:“If you don’t know what you’re feeling, it’s hard to know what to do with your feelings.” – Dr. Marc Brackett Goal Mapping Starter GuideCultivating H.E.R.
