Ferris is Kossow's last embryo and the answered prayer of faith, love and science through IVF.Reading holds a very special place in Kossow's heart, and this next stage of her career has her creating something she is so very passionate about in the lives of children through her picture books: in vitro fertilization. Now a little about Kossow, personally…"In November 2019, I am proud to say I was a finisher in the New York City Marathon. I love to host parties and celebrate life, no matter how small the occasion!I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Elmhurst College, which is also where I met my best friend and husband, Dan. We have a toy Maltese named Mr Big and a Siamese cat named James Bond. (Both of which are Ferris’ partners in crime). I am a mother, first and foremost, and everything else comes second. I believe you really can have and achieve anything you want…but you are going to have to work for it and expect nothing to be handed to you. My husband often calls me his real-life Steve Jobs because I live my life for my son to believe in the following: “Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” Ferris is my inspiration, and my husband, Dan, is the motivation that keeps me running the extra mile in all I do."Music by Matt Biskie and The Island City "Little Flaws"Go to Intentionallylola.com to learn more about our mission and what we offerIntentionally Lola is sponsored by Lola. Getting to know Hameed Bankole

Hameed Bankole is a 20 something young man I met by happenstance at a local fine dining Italian restaurant called Osteria Bigolaro. Hameed was my server, an excellent one at that. We connected very quickly especially after our quick talk about me controlling the amount of starches and carbs I consume. He found it quite amusing that I was at an Italian restaurant. After a short conversation with Hameed I learned his passion for health and fitness. He shared with me that he had done a 19-day water fast and how some of today's foods are only here for mouthfeel and what that does to the brain. I knew that this was information that came from a breakthrough moment…people didn’t just have this knowledge and passion without having experienced some sort of aha moment in their life. So I asked him…where did this passion come from. Hameed told that just 1 year ago he weighed 300 pounds. He was overweight and unhappy. Here is what Hameed has to say about his journey "I'm someone who finds out just how little they know every day. This journey that I've been on this life has taught me that when you slow down and pay attention, life can be a lot easier than you're making it. I'm still trying to figure it out like everyone else but I know that I'm getting closer to finding out who I really am every day" Join me on this episode of Intentionally Lola while Hameed shares with us his journey and his philosophies on what a shift in perspective does for the brain and the body. Also on what food is supposed to taste like. We go deep into what happens when you start using food for fuel rather than pleasure. Visit https://www.intentionallylola.com to learn more about out mission! Please be sure to leave us 5 stars and a review!!What an eye opening deep conversation we had with Pamela O'brien. Today we talk about finding your path, how emotions get trapped in your body and manifest in physical pain, and the deeper side of yoga and hypnosis. Pamela owns Greenleaf Yoga Studio in Saint Charles, IL. Here is what she has to say about this very unique space she has created:"To say Greenleaf is simply a yoga studio would be like saying the Magic Kingdom has a roller coaster. Greenleaf is so much more, and it's evolution has gone along with my own lifelong journey to feel healthy and whole . . . physically emotionally and spiritually. Even to say Greenleaf is a therapeutic studio would be perhaps misleading and might just attract those who are injured or need much modification due to physical challenges. To describe Greenleaf as a yoga and meditation studio might lead some folks to see it as all yogi- like and only for those yogi like folks who are like, "Ommmmmm!"And if you heard we do hypnosis then you might think, oh so this woman is going to make me crow like a rooster or infiltrate my thoughts......or you might picture being helped stopping the unhealthy and toxic habit of smoking, or release a long-held phobia. But nope. Greenleaf is more than yoga, more than meditation, more than helping a client (really a kindred spirit, I like to call my student/friends ) quit an unhealthy habit or release a phobia. Greenleaf is my way of offering a methodology that encompasses three legs of a stool that is my personal health foundation: Body (yoga that is modified and crafted for folks of every walk of life), Mind (mindfulness, meditation, hypnosis and creative visualization methods which help with stress, depression and anxiety that today's pace and circumstance of life seems to throw our way), Spirit (philosophy and meditation and inspiration )".How can Greenleaf help you?1. Helps you enjoy, find freedom, strength and healing in your body.2. Be empowered to take over the reigns to your health and well-being3. Learn real concrete tools for living intentionally through mindful thoughts, word, and action coaching.4. Helps you dream big again and design the life you've always wanted . . . perhaps the one you envisioned but have yet to realize.5. Release the stress, fear, insecurity that has held you hostage . . . be it in an unhealthy body, mind or spirit. I honestly feel like it is my honor and privilege to share and teach what has helped me change my life and as you said, Gina, live intentionally. It is so interesting that you used those words. When I first got divoreced over 7 years ago that was my mantra. I'd been married 27 years give or take. I was about to take a leap and live intentionally no longer on auto pilot....so here we go again. I think it's been time for a reboot for me....thus the hypnosis addition, which brings this journey full circle for me to when I was introduced by my favorite high school, to the idea of creating your best life back in 1981 through the book Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain.Cheers!PamelaGreenleaf 16 N.
