Welcome back to Alchemy for Authors and Happy New Year! In this solo episode I share some of the manifestation practices I use to get clear on my writing goals, and set myself up for an inspired and successful writing year. Some of the topics I discuss include: · Why the Law of Attraction won't work without Action. · Why not getting what you want is sometimes better than getting what you want. · The questions you need to reflect on as one year ends and another begins. · Why your “Writing Why” has nothing to do with money. · Why your “shoulds” can signal misalignment and a tendency towards people-pleasing. · How incremental upgrades and sexy new underwear can propel you towards living your best life now. · The anchor and mantra I'm using to achieve my goals this year. · How decluttering can be a powerful first step in manifesting your desires. · Why the hardest and most important thing I'm going to do this year is scheduling downtime. · And why adopting the phrase “I get to…” is a powerful trick for getting dumb things done. This juicy episode of Alchemy for Authors is jam-packed with resources for making 2024 your best writing year yet. In this week's episode, my guest is Chris Pan, founder of MyIntent (which you can hear more about in Episode 13) and more recently, VOMO, who is here to give a masterclass in the creation of movements! From his childhood days as an immigrant in the United States, and throughout his time working for big corporations like Facebook and Pepsi, music has always played a meaningful role in Chris's life. VOMO stands for Voice Movement, and it is Chris's way of bringing the joy of singing and dancing to as many people as possible. Tune in today to hear where the inspiration for VOMO originated, the expansion plans that Chris has for its future, and some valuable advice for starting your own movement!
Chris Pan has already led a full life. When asked about his fascinating journey from a young boy in Taiwan who moved to the US without knowing English, to Harvard Business School, and to working as an early employee of Facebook, he references the game, Zelda. Chris goes on to explain that life is a journey in which you pick up a tool with each chapter you live. Eventually, all the tools support you in the ultimate purpose you are here to live. Chris now joyfully engages in his life purpose. As a result, he uses the tools he found along the way in service to the joyful, powerful work he does in the world. Chris attended the Hoffman Process in 2013 after a difficult relationship breakup. A friend told him about the Process and that it can provide deep healing, quickly. Wanting to be out of the pain he was in, Chris registered right away. Post-Process, Chris started this new life of spreading joy and healing. This episode of Love's Everyday Radius is full of delights. Chris' engaging life story, his commitment to bringing more joy and play into the world, and his generous singing and guitar playing (you'll hear him sing two songs), are examples of how the change that happens within each of us as a result of doing the Process can ripple out into the everyday radius of our lives. More About Chris Pan: What's Your WORD? Chris Pan is the founder of MyIntent.org. He has helped millions of people find their intention, including Beyonce, Elon, and Melania. VOMO (VOICE MOVEMENT), Chris' new project, is making group singing fun, uplifting, and cathartic. His vision is to have the world sing together and live with intent. Chris has an MBA from Harvard. He started his career as a senior consultant at McKinsey, marketing director at PepsiCo, and an early employee at Facebook. He attended the Hoffman Process in 2013 and realized how emotionally constipated and spiritually disconnected he was. After graduating, he set the intention to help others become more emotionally and spiritually connected. Find out more about Chris on Instagram and Linkedin. Find out more about VOMO on Instagram. As mentioned in this episode: The quote Chris refers to: “In many shamanic societies, if you came to a shaman or medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions. When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence? Where we have stopped dancing, singing, being enchanted by stories, or finding comfort in silence is where we have experienced the loss of soul. Dancing, singing, storytelling, and silence are the four universal healing salves.”― Gabrielle Roth Healing Rain: One of the songs Chris sings comes from a popular song by Prince. Chris changed the title and lyrics to reflect the healing that happens during the Process and in his work. My Intent is a simple yet powerful initiative started by Chris Pan, and we are joined by Chris on the podcast today to talk about his journey and the steps in his path that led to starting this organization and what inspired his choices. With My Intent, Chris aims to create connection and alignment for people by identifying a specific intention and word which is then etched into a bracelet. It can be a reminder or motivation to stick to one's commitment or goal, or just a reinforcement of something to focus on. The bracelet is thus much more than just jewelry or a hip way to display your character, although since the business has grown in the last few years, it has definitely found some mainstream appeal! We hear from Chris about some of the difficulties of his younger years, moving around a lot and being alone for most of his time. He talks about his college years and how he embraced student leadership and community work in order to connect and build his resume, and from there we talk about his forays into business. Chris stands as a testament to the power of being able to bounce back as many of his initial projects and goals did not quite work out. It was only through an ongoing curiosity and determination that he was able to get closer to his calling and find his lane. We talk about the common threads through the years, what led him to leave a position at Facebook, and the chance encounters and serendipity that allowed him to dive into the My Intent project. So for this special story from a special friend, join us on the show today!Key Points From This Episode:Chris' favorite childhood toys and how he would occupy himself by playing alone. Are you feeling overwhelmed with everything in your life? Do you need help to find your focus? It feels like the world is throwing a lot more at us these days despite the social distancing! This episode I encourage you to step back from all the busyness and "to do" lists and take a breath and figure out what you want to focus on right now. It's hard picking just one thing. However, when you stop to breathe and really think about your own priorities, it helps. No Judging! You are here and it is what it is, now you need to figure out the best way to move forward. This is not the time to pick apart your faults. It's a time to say, "okay, that's done, now, how am I going to step into this next phase keeping my priorities top of mind?" If you don't know your own focus then others can pull you into their priorities. In the episode I suggest you go to the My Intent website and go through the "What's your word?" exercise. If you do the exercise and you still can't come up with a Focus Word, scroll down on that page and there are some suggestions that may help inspire you. Another option if you want a pre-fab inspirational focus word, there are talented people on Etsy who sell inspirational words painted on rocks. I don't know the seller for the link I've included, I just offered it as a way to start your search if you are interested. However you go about it, finding your focus and setting your intent will help bring you peace in this crazy world, as well as helping you say "no" when it is required!Finding Your Focus is NOT a "one and done" exercise!! As life changes, as you grow, as new opportunities arise, you will find that you need a different focus. I hate sitting in overwhelm and dealing with feelings of inadequacy. Regrettably, I took too long to redo this exercise this time. If nothing else, it instigated me starting this conversation and encouraging you to Find Your Focus!

Episode 198 If you’re interested in hearing some real talk behind coaching and coaching brands, the realities of running a 7-figure business, and what motivates us to keep going and uplevel our business to hit our financial goals, this episode is for you. Today’s guest is someone I truly admire, Jaime King aka the slay coach. Jaime went from being a beauty schoo drop out to being a not so successful fitness coach, network marketer, and now to a seven figure business owner and host to a massive entreprenenurial event called Summit of Slay. In this episode, we cover how to ask for what you want and ask others to do the same, switching industries or niches, honoring your truth and not following industry trends, and acting yourself into new ways of thinking. Moments: 6:00- What happened when Jaime threw up the first time we met. 14:00- What does God mean to you? 16:00- Tell me about going all in from switching to fitness to business coach? 28:00- Tell me more about the Slay Coach brand, what you did, what you created, and what went well. Quotes: “I had a strong following and I knew in order to be an authority and to be taken seriously, i had to create something totally different.” We learn to care based on wha thappens to us and based on what other people project onto us. So i go back to, what did I actually like? “It’s easier to act yourself into a new way of thinking than to think yourself into a new way of acting.” “Theres always a lesson and i dont regret anything, its always Instagram- @theslaycoach https://www.theslaycoach.com/7-rings-sisterhood Apply to the Flourish & Conquer Mastermind at: www.amandabucci.com/mastermind Sponsor Info:Klassy Network Glasses: https://klassyshop.com/collections/klassy-x-bucci My Intent: Head to Myintent.org and type in the code BUCCI for 30% off.
Many people approach sales with the intention to sell a product with one end result in mind- to hand over their credit card and “close” the sale. But today’s guest approach to sales is not about sales. It’s about transformational enrollment and supporting people to see what’s blocking them and preventing them from saying YES. Today we are chatting with Elran Tsabag, my Head of Enrollment and Business Strategy. He’s my right hand in the business, and does our strategy and vision, and supports our coaches and clients inside of the Flourish & Conquer Mastermind. I trust Elran to represent my brand and be the first point of contact for our clients. Anyone that has gotten on the phone with Elran leaves feeling so supported and heard. In this episode, we discuss everything about sales, enrollment, common objections, and how to take a heart centered approach and lead with integrity. We also discuss the experience of being in a Mastermind, how we approach our Mastermind, and who we tend to attract as humans. Moments: 4:02- How Elran and I started working together 5:19- Tell us about your background and how you came into this realm of business. 10:00- Tell us about your learning experience enrolling students in FCA and enrollment processes in general. 11:00: What is your approach to sales? 18:00- What are some of the things people say over and over during enrollment calls i.e. common objections? 32:00- Can you talk about your experience working in our Mastermind and who we tend to attract as humans? 40:00- Let’s talk about our retreats! Quotes: In every position I’ve had, its been about creating strong relationships with other oeople and holding space for other peoples needs/. My approach to sales is not about sales. It’s about transformational enrollment. You’re coming to me because you need something, you're in pain, something is wrong in your business and life. Its about unconvering your needs and figuring out if its a good fit. You have to lead with heart and integrity, and if you don’t then you're just trying to sell somebody on a product and make some money. You’re leading with results. You have to be detached from the outcome and hold space for the other person to allow them to reach the right decision for themselves. All people want is to be seen and heard and validated. That’s all we want as humabs. Once you do that for somebody else and gain their trust they will allow you into eery crevice of their heartt, life and business. Its not about what to do, or the content, or the strategy. Its about what youre not doing right for yourself right now. How are you not showing up thats a reflection of the results youre getting in your business? The people we attract are down to do the hard work. They want to work less and earn more. They want to make a bigger impact and have a big vision. They’re building community and tribe. They’re creating something new in their industry. They’re at the forefront, there’s nothing gimmicky. They’re in integrity. Have you ever wondered why some of us go through trauma and adversity and go on to perform better than before, and some of us decide to quit? What makes some people more resilient than others? How can we bounce back more quickly from a negative experience? Today’s guest is my incredible friend Niyc Pidgeon. Niyc is a Positive Psychologist and Success Coach for entrepreneurial women. She’s a Hay House author, and has her second book coming out soon. Niyc has been named Entrepreneur of the Year and won the award for Best Psychologist book of the year. She’s lived through her own traumatic experiences, and has learned how to turn her pain into her purpose. In this episode, we discuss tips on how we can bounce back more quickly from a negative experience and come out stronger than before. We also discuss how to move out of a dark place to create a new and better version of our own reality with strategies of gratitude and meditation. Moments: 1:40- How did you start getting into positive psychology and get into this line of work? 5:35- In terms of positive psychology, what is it that switches people from a negative spiral into something that allows us to feel better immediately? 11:00- What does the success practice look like in your own business? 15:00- What were those challenging times that lead you to consistently show up and do these practices? 20:58- Were these experiences that lead you to write the book you’re writing now? 24:00- What are the things that people choose or dont choose to do to come out of a dark place? 31:00- Once you’re back to neutral, how do you move on to performing better than before? 37:00- Where do you see this conversation going in 2020? Quotes: You don’t know the power of your own potential. It’s amazing what the human spirit can do to not only bounce back but to thrive. Why is it that some of us go through trauma and adversity and go on to perform better than before, and some of us decide to quit? You don’t need to get back to how you were before, you can create a new version of reality that allows you to find the strength through the struggle, that not only lets you find the light at the end of the tunnel but go on to build a whole new amazing thing while you look back on the former version of yourself.
