Listeners of Little Z's Sleep Podcast that love the show mention:The Little Z's Sleep Podcast is an incredible resource for parents looking to improve their child's sleep habits. Hosted by Becca, the podcast provides valuable information and advice on various topics related to sleep training and parenting. Becca's approach to sleep training is refreshing and practical, making it accessible to parents of all backgrounds and experiences.
One of the best aspects of The Little Z's Sleep Podcast is the wealth of knowledge and expertise that Becca brings to each episode. She covers a wide range of topics, from newborn sleep issues to toddler transitions, offering practical tips and strategies that can be easily implemented. Becca's advice is evidence-based and backed by her own personal experience as a mom and sleep consultant. She also brings in experts as guests, providing a well-rounded perspective on different issues related to sleep.
Another great aspect of this podcast is Becca's emphasis on individualized care for each child. She recognizes that every child is unique and may require different approaches when it comes to sleep training. This personalized approach sets her apart from other sleep trainers who often promote a one-size-fits-all method. Becca encourages parents to trust their instincts and adapt her strategies to suit their child's needs.

It can be tempting around 2 years old to think that your child doesn't need sleep anymore…The toddler sleep regression is a REAL THING.It doesn't matter if you have an angel sleeper, or you have a kid who NEVER slept well and now everything is worse. When you have a 1-3 year old, this regression can affect anyone!!So what is there to do about it!? I'm breaking it all down for you on today's episode!GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!
Is your toddler waking in the night all of a sudden, leaving you at a loss?Whether your toddler is typically a rock star sleeper or one that keeps you on your toes, night wakings and early morning wakings are never something we look forward to or embrace as parents.Believe it or not, it can be very common, and even normal, for toddlers to suddenly begin waking during the night or the early morning. In this episode, I'm sharing with you four areas of your child's sleep that you should check when it comes to solving your toddler's night wakings.Addressing these areas of your toddler's sleep will help your toddler to stop waking throughout the night (or early morning!) and start sleeping a blissful, 11-12 hours again!GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!
Do you have an 18 month suddenly regressing in their sleep!?This is completely normal and common!! Even though your child isn't a baby anymore, sleep regressions can still happen – so if this is your life right now with your toddler, you've come to the right place because I'm talking ALL about it in this week's podcast episode!!Tune in to hear the signs of your toddler's regression and how you can approach it and make sleep a thing again (or what to do if it's never been a thing…) today!!GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!
The holidays are in the air and (at least in this hemisphere!) that means… we're moving into WINTER!This is often a time where we hear about sleep issues happening with toddlers and with preschoolers – it's cold outside, maybe you're not getting outside as much, and sometimes bedtime can become a hassle. If that's true for you, then I have good news! There are no magic gimmicks, or pills, or powders or oils or anything involved in what I'm going to tell you to do, but tune in to this episode to hear about 4 natural remedies to help your toddler or preschooler fall asleep faster and keep sleep a thing for your family!GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!
Is your child going through crazy separation anxiety?!There are actually 3 ages where we can pinpoint when separation anxiety will peak and, you know me!!! I'm not only going to talk about what those ages are and how they impact sleep, but I'm also going to flip the script on how you're seeing sleep during these separation anxiety times. My hope is that you're able to pinpoint and then understand where you are in these peaks and get right back on track with sleep.GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!
What if I told you there is a simple way to identify whether your child is experiencing a developmental sleep regression or a new sleepless habit? In this podcast episode I am teaching you exactly what you need to know when it comes to understanding the difference between sleep regressions and new habits and how to handle them!GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!
We hear about 4 month olds because of the 4 month sleep regression. And then we jump to 6-8 month olds as they move to a 2-nap schedule. But what about the 5 month olds?! I am so passionate about this age because this is an ideal time for you to develop good sleep habits for your baby!! So if you're holding a 5 month old or you're about to hit the 5 month mark, you will want to head over and listen to this episode!! I take a bit of a deep dive into what 5 month olds are like, what their sleep schedule can be, when you'll feed baby as naps start spreading out and your routine changes, and so much more!GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!
Somewhere around 3-5 months old you're likely finding that your baby is no longer just stationary in their crib or bassinet! They're trying to move this way or move that way and it is totally normal!!! But you are mildly freaking out because all the sudden you see on the monitor that they've rolled onto their belly in the crib and you're like WHAT'S HAPPENING!? My baby is rolling?!?In this podcast episode, I'm giving you the steps and the peace of mind for what to do when your baby is rolling around in the crib!GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!
If you're wondering what exactly is different about Little Z's sleep training plans, or why you should follow one of our plans instead of just asking Google for help, then you will love today's podcast episode that we're bringing back from the vault! While there are a lot of different ways that you can go down this path of sleep, in reality, there's only four sleep training methods. Let's talk about which methods I use and how it can help your family. GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!
When your newborn turns 16 weeks old, sleep changes! At 16 weeks from due date your baby now develops more mature sleep cycles that are reorganized into 4 stages vs 2 stages of sleep. This comes with the need to change their sleep schedules at 4 months old!In this episode, I'm sharing what the new sleep schedules will now look like and I'll walk you through how to implement them!GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!

We are in the middle of a series here at Little Z's all about potty training. Last week we covered potty training in an open bed and this week I am bringing you a conversation that I had with Alison Jandu, who is the Potty Training Consultant. She is so wise and has some amazing books, courses and coaching to help families all over the world get their little one successfully potty trained! In this episode, we talk about how to potty train. If you are thinking that your child is showing signs that it's time to potty train, but they're under 3 and in a crib, this episode is for you! GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!

We are going through how she nighttime potty trained her boys when they were in an open bed. Sarah has so many tips to share, and if you are a boy mom, you're going to especially love it!! If you're potty training your child who is still in a crib, we'll cover that next week, too! If you're listening to this podcast, you're probably in a phase where you feel surrounded by diapers, endlessly counting down to nap, and wondering if you'll ever see a full night of sleep?! This was the #1 downloaded episode from the last year and it's all about managing your routines and life with a new baby and a toddler! As a Sleep Consultant, my job is to encourage and guide families to sleep success. This is great! Until the Type A Mom I'm working with begins to feel in bondage to sleep rules and schedules. That is never what we want! Sleep brings freedom! And what I've realized is that our dear Type A Moms have a tendency to wrap up their worth in their child's sleep. And let me be the first to tell you— that. is. not. true! Your worth is not linked to a short nap. You will have off days, you will bend the rules. And that's okay. That's why I love this episode from the archives – Letters to the Type A Mom offers us all some heart-to-heart encouragement about sleep and is just what you need today!GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!
I think as parents and caregivers, we need this reminder: You do not have to hit rock bottom before you get help. That's why I'm excited to bring back one of my absolute fan-favorite podcast episodes this week talking all about when to know if it's time to sleep train! I polled my Instagram followers and here are their top reasons that helped them know it was time to sleep train. I wonder which ones you relate to?GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!
What is co-regulation? And how is it involved with child development? We're diving back into the vault to bring back this interview that has been one of the top downloads of our podcast! I'm chatting with doctors Jenna Elgin and Shauna Alvarez of Helping Families Thrive – they are both psychologists who aim to support families with evidence and empathy. There's a lot of misinformation about parenting out there, especially with social media, so today we're getting to the truth about parenting and co-regulation. No matter where you are when it comes to making sleep a thing, I think you'll find this episode encouraging & helpful!GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!
If your child is heading back to school, starting kindergarten, or maybe you're just getting back into the mode of preschool, this podcast episode is for you! You've likely been enjoying those amazing summer days and nights with later bedtimes and lazy mornings. But today, I'm helping you get back into the mindset of going back to school. And this is not just from me as a Pediatric Sleep Consultant, but also as a mom and a former elementary school teacher! It's time for back to school - let's get ready today.GET MY FREE BABY SLEEP COURSE!!
Imagine what it would be like to travel to Italy and enjoy Tuscany and Rome and all of the beautiful sights with your baby and your preschooler. How do you feel about that? How does the thought of an overnight flight and traveling across the ocean sound? If you are like, “Sign me up!”, then you're going to love what we're talking about today! But if you're also like, “Oh my gosh, that sounds like a total heck no for me! Not until my kids are older!” then stick around. Because if you have the inkling to travel, but you're thinking, “No, I need to wait till my kids are older,” I am such a proponent of NOT waiting and enjoying these times. Yes, there are situations and ages where it's a little bit easier than others, but I still think that making the memories and doing the darn thing is always worth it.This week on the podcast I invited Krista Jones, who is a friend, an incredibly talented website designer, and a mom to Bennett and Jack, as we talk through their travels to Italy.
