Send us Fan Mail“From Doubt to Belief” – Pastor Todd ReynoldsIn this powerful Resurrection message from John 20:24–29, Pastor Todd Reynolds challenges the common label of “Doubting Thomas” and reframes the story as a journey from honest doubt to transformational belief.Rather than condemning Thomas, Pastor Todd highlights a deeper truth: all the disciples struggled to believe the resurrection at first. Doubt is not the enemy of faith—it's often the doorway to a stronger, more personal encounter with Jesus.Pastor Todd emphasizes that:Faith is not about blind belief, but personal experience with Christ. What ultimately convinced Thomas was not argument or logic, but an encounter with the risen Jesus—and specifically the evidence of His suffering.Jesus does not avoid doubters; He pursues them, meeting them right in their questions, fears, and uncertainty. The message connects Thomas' story to our everyday lives:We doubt when life doesn't make sense, when prayers seem unanswered, or when pain feels overwhelming.Like the father in Mark 9, many of us live in the tension of: “I believe—help my unbelief.”The turning point comes when Jesus invites Thomas to take a step forward:“Stop doubting and believe.”Pastor Todd drives home a central truth:Faith is not a system of beliefs—it's a relationship with a living Savior.Growth doesn't happen in one leap, but one step at a time toward Jesus. The sermon culminates in Thomas' declaration:“My Lord and my God!”This is more than belief—it's surrender.Key takeaway:No matter where you are—full of faith or full of questions—Jesus is still coming after you. And the path from doubt to belief always begins with one simple step: move toward Him.Shady Grove Info Click here for more https://www.shadygrove.net/events FaceBook https://www.facebook.com/ShadyGroveWesleyanChurch

Send us Fan MailIn this powerful Easter message, Pastor Todd Reynolds challenges us to move beyond simply believing in the resurrection to actually living in its reality. Centered on Jesus' declaration in John 11—“I am the resurrection and the life”—this sermon reframes Easter as more than a historical event or future hope. It is a present, transforming reality available right now. Using the story of Lazarus, Pastor Todd highlights the difference between Martha's belief in a future resurrection and Jesus' invitation to experience resurrection life in the present. Too often, we settle for what he calls an “Easter-less conversion”—a faith that believes the facts but lacks the power of personal transformation. The result? A life of going through the motions rather than experiencing new life in Christ. This message presses a crucial question:Do you believe in Easter, or have you discovered it?Drawing from Romans and 2 Corinthians, the sermon emphasizes that resurrection life begins the moment we encounter Jesus. Even as our outward lives face challenges and decay, inwardly we are being renewed day by day. Resurrection is not something that waits for death—it is something that begins now, bringing new life, new hope, and new transformation from the inside out.Pastor Todd calls listeners to shift from “if only” thinking (looking back with regret) to “what if” faith—embracing the reality that Jesus is present and active today, bringing the power of the future into our current circumstances.Key Takeaways:Easter is not just something to believe—it's something to experience.Resurrection is not an event; it is a person—Jesus Christ.Eternal life doesn't start when you die; it starts when you meet Jesus.God is actively bringing new life into what feels dead right now.The invitation of Easter is not just belief—but transformation. This Easter message is a call to stop settling for less and to step into the full, life-changing reality of resurrection—right here, right now.Bottom line:Jesus isn't just offering life someday. He's offering life today.Shady Grove Info Click here for more https://www.shadygrove.net/events FaceBook https://www.facebook.com/ShadyGroveWesleyanChurch

Send us Fan MailShady Grove Wesleyan Church (March 1, 2026), titled "The Way: Invitation," a sermon by Pastor Todd Reynolds based on Isaiah 55:1–14.Sermon Summary: The Way: InvitationPastor Todd Reynolds discusses the concept of being followers of "The Way" and the struggle of maintaining spiritual hunger and pursuit of Jesus. The Covenant & Exile: Using Isaiah 55, he explains how God invites his people back from exile, not with commands, but with an invitation to a banquet.Invitation vs. Command: Pastor Todd emphasizes that Jesus' teachings are invitations to a better, abundant life, rather than mere moral commands.Who is Invited? The invitation is for everyone, especially the broken, ashamed, and thirsty—those who feel they don't fit in.Abundant Life: He challenges the congregation to move beyond simply being "saved" and to pursue the abundant life Jesus promises.Shady Grove Info Click here for more https://www.shadygrove.net/events FaceBook https://www.facebook.com/ShadyGroveWesleyanChurch

Send us Fan Mail This Sunday service message, "The Way: Dying to Self," delivered by Pastor Myles Pitts at Shady Grove Wesleyan Church on March 22, 2026, explores the countercultural Christian concept of self-denial based on Matthew 16:23-26.Key Themes and Highlights:The Danger of Self-Obsession : Pastor Pitts highlights how modern culture encourages a self-centered life—focused on personal desires, opinions, and social media validation—which contradicts the teachings of Jesus. The Path of True Discipleship : Based on the text, being a disciple means denying oneself, taking up the cross, and following Jesus. This requires mimicking the life of the Teacher, rather than picking and choosing comfortable parts of the faith.Crucified with Christ : Referencing Galatians 2:20, the message emphasizes that dying to self is not done alone, but with Christ. It is a daily process of clearing out selfish ambition to allow Christ to live through the believer.Practical Application: Pastor Pitts provides practical advice on how to live this out:Listen more to God and others instead of dominating conversations.Trust God's understanding over personal logic.Forgive others to resemble Christ.Submit personal dreams to God's will. The service concludes with a call to treat life not as a throne for self-worship, but as an altar for daily sacrifice to God. Send us Fan Mail In this sermon, Pastor Todd Reynolds delivers a message entitled "The Way: Belonging" based on Matthew 12:46-50, discussing how Jesus redefined the concept of family (23:07). Pastor Reynolds challenges the traditional view of family by emphasizing that belonging to God's family is based on doing the will of the Father rather than just bloodlines (35:20).Key Highlights:Redefining Family: Jesus teaches that his true family consists of those who follow God, which radicalized the concept in his time (35:55).The Church as Family: The church is meant to be a solution to the modern epidemic of loneliness, provided it functions as a family rather than a place for individualistic pursuits (39:41).Active Participation: Reynolds urges congregants to move beyond simply attending or volunteering, and to instead belong and serve out of love, just as one does within a biological family (43:17).The service concludes with a powerful communion ceremony, reinforcing the idea of gathering together as a family around the table (50:07). Send us a textOn the morning of Friday, September 29th, Ray and Rosanna Eggers woke to the sound of pounding rain in western North Carolina. The gentle stream that flowed near their mountain home had turned into a raging force of nature. Looking out the window, Ray's face grew tense. "We gotta go," he said firmly.Grabbing a few essentials, they headed for the door, but by the time they stepped outside, the water was already knee-deep. The stream had become a flood. Scrambling to higher ground, they reached an elevated road and watched helplessly as the surging waters tore through their beloved home. Furniture, photographs, and keepsakes—all the memories built over a lifetime—were swept away in a matter of minutes. When the floodwaters finally receded, Ray and Rosanna returned to what was left of their house. Mud covered every surface. The floors were warped and buckled, and the drywall had crumbled. It was devastation in every direction. Their hearts sank. Everything was gone.In the aftermath, their first thought was to contact their children. But with cell phone service down, every call failed. Anxiety grew as they desperately tried to let their family know they were safe. Finally, after several agonizing hours, they made contact with their four daughters. Everyone was safe. But the reality remained—Ray and Rosanna's home was gone. What followed in the weeks and months to come was a testimony to compassion and faith. Help began to arrive—sometimes from the most unexpected places. Strangers offered support. A generous family from Maryland donated a beautiful travel trailer, giving them a place to live. Cash donations poured in from people they had never met. Samaritan's Purse sent a team to help clear the debris from their property, cleaning and preparing the land where their home once stood. The Shady Grove Family has been privileged to join in the love and support for Ray and Rosanna. This story of heartbreak, resilience, and the overwhelming love of a community is the focus of today's episode of Shady Grove Radio. It's a powerful reminder of how, even in the darkest moments, the hands and feet of Christ are present in the kindness and generosity of others.Tune in to hear the full story of Ray and Rosanna Eggers—a story of loss, faith, and the light that shines through when everything else is washed away.Shady Grove Info Click here for more https://www.shadygrove.net/events FaceBook https://www.facebook.com/ShadyGroveWesleyanChurch
