John is joined by TOMORA to talk about how they wrote, recorded and produced the album COME CLOSER. TOMORA are an electronic music duo made up of The Chemical Brothers' Tom Rowlands and AURORA. Both have excelled in their fields: The Chemical Brothers' ten albums helped define electronic music, while Norwegian artist AURORA's ethereal songwriting has won her a devoted worldwide following. The duo began collaborating when Aurora featured on The Chemical Brothers' Grammy Award-winning 2019 album No Geography. In turn, Tom produced parts of AURORA's What Happened To The Heart? (2024). That led to TOMORA and their debut album COME CLOSER. Sitting down at Baltic Studios, they discuss creating the album's distinctive soundscapes and recording AURORA's striking vocals. They also introduce John to the vintage synthesiser crucial to the album's sound, plus answer Patreons' questions! We're blessed to hear from our Campus Pastor, Brant Cole, this morning as he brings us the first message in our new series of messages about Jesus's words to the 7 churches in Revelation, called "Seven". This message from Revelation 2:1-7 walks through Jesus' letter to the church in Ephesus and invites listeners to examine not just what they believe, but how close they are to him. While affirming the importance of sound doctrine and faithfulness, it gently exposes how spiritual routines can slowly replace relational intimacy with Jesus. With both honesty and hope, the message shows that distance from God often grows quietly - and that it can also be restored through remembering, repenting, and returning to our first love. This message is for anyone who wants their faith to move beyond duty and rediscover a vibrant, life-giving closeness with Christ.
God invites us into this intimacy. He calls for us to be close to Him. This is what differentiates Christianity from any other religion in the world. God is not cold and distant. He welcomes closeness with himself. He calls and invites us to seek Him and pursue Him.Main Points:1. Can you hear His voice? In your loneliness, in your anxiety, in your frustration, and in your desperation, God is calling you to come to Him. I pray that you will respond like David and say, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”2. There are so many today who have lots of Bible knowledge. Maybe they were raised attending church. They know the Word of God and can quote many scriptures, but they are empty spiritually because they have no relationship with God.3. God wants to be known. He makes himself available to us. He rewards our seeking with His presence. Your relationship with God can be rich and full. It can be powerful and inspiring; it just requires us to seek Him.Today's Scripture Verses:Psalm 27:8 - “When you said, ‘Seek My face,' My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”James 4:8 - “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”Psalm 119:37 - “Turn my eyes away from worthless things.”Quick Links:Donate to support this podcastLeave a review on Apple PodcastsGet a copy of The 5 Minute Discipleship JournalConnect on SocialJoin The 5 Minute Discipleship Facebook Group
Artist: Come Closer (Russia) Label: Magic Tribe Music Genre: Organic House Release Date: 12.12.2025 Band.link: https://band.link/mt015 Magic Tribe Music представляет дебютный альбом проекта Come Closer. Ron Hogen Green, Sensei - ZMM - 10/22/25 - Our biggest challenges often take form in how we create or perpetuate suffering, and these are likely to be in stark contrast to the peace and groundedness experienced in zazen. In zazen we experience our true nature up close, but it often doesn't seem to be in alignment with our restless and uneasy mind. How do we close the distance, take responsibility for the rift that seems impassable, and continue to move closer? - From the Master Dogen's True Dharma Eye - Case 10 - Qingyuan's "Come Closer"
We're back! We're a bit all over the place in this episode, but mostly it's me (Becca) recommending a few horror/scary books I've read. Most likely, we will be popping in once a month to update everyone until life settles down a little more. Thanks for listening! (Quick correction: I mention the movie The Devils by Ken Russell, and what I guessed what the outline of the plot. Since recording, I have watched the movie and I was wrong. Great movie though!) Books mentioned: Night Watcher by Daphne Woolsoncroft, Come Closer by Sara Gran, The Devils of Loudun by Aldous Huxley, and Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlmann. “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.” — John 15:4 (ESV)My Precious Child,You know a lot about Me. You've read the stories, listened to sermons, and memorized My words. You've taken bold steps to grow. I love seeing your hunger for more—your genuine desire to follow Me fully. Yet sometimes, amidst your striving, you overlook the simple invitation I extend each day: Come closer. You see, My beloved, discipleship is not primarily about doing. It's about being—being with Me. It's about abiding in My presence, lingering in My love, and letting My Spirit fill every space of your life. You weren't designed to just work for Me from afar; you were made to walk intimately at My side.I know you have goals for your growth. You want to bear much fruit, impact lives, and fulfill your purpose. But fruitfulness isn't something you manufacture. It flows naturally from intimacy with Me. The closer you draw, the richer your harvest becomes. I don't want you weary from striving—I want you strengthened by staying close.Think of My disciples when I walked among them. They listened carefully, yes. They served faithfully, certainly. But more than anything, they simply stayed close to Me. They walked the roads I walked. They sat by fires with Me in the evening. They laughed and learned by simply being near. That nearness changed everything for them—and it can for you, too.My child, today I invite you closer. Slow down. Listen deeply. Linger a little longer in prayer. Don't rush past Me in pursuit of growth; instead, find your growth in Me. For every step you take towards Me, know I am already running toward you.Your life isn't meant to reflect a distant belief—it's meant to radiate intimate relationship. You're not called merely to know My teachings; you're called to experience My heart. Come near, abide deeply, and watch what happens when you live daily in My presence. You were never meant to follow Me from afar. I want you right here—close enough to hear My heartbeat.Forever drawing you closer,— Your Loving FatherMy Reasons To Believe is a reader-supported publication. Bilateral trade between China and the EU last year reached US$786 billion with investment rising to US$260 billion. Yet friction remains as the EU has moved to curb the access of Chinese medical device makers to public procurement contracts and imposed high tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles. This comes after the EU designated China as "a partner for cooperation, an economic competitor, and a systemic rival". How well will this approach play out? What are the expectations for China-EU trade relations going forward? How are U.S. protectionist policies impacting China-EU relations?

Buy here: found.ee/spandau20-010 Spandau20, an imprint named after the Western Berlin district and focused on artists from the area, delivers techno in all diverse forms – from warehouse and electronic peak time beats to breaks and IDM, balancing the old and new school sounds flawlessly. With a focus on vinyl releases, for the collectors, Spandau20 has lately also focused on its label nights, with showcases at Fabric, Bassiani and many others. The label's 10th release features 10 tracks that epitomise the musical diversity of Spandau20 and the progressive musical mindset of its roster, calling on the label favourites and Spandau natives to deliver brand new and exciting music. This special release even features one track that all artists have worked on together: ‘Come Closer', a swarming, slithering beginning featured as the VA's opener. Its barely coherent female vocal echoing amidst a cacophony of demon-like effects. The chilling ambience captured at the offset transcends into the first full length track by Elli Acula, ‘Floating Eyes', a cur characterised by an authoritative, pounding bass featuring calculated percussive rolls and metallic overtones to make for a face-scrunching opener to this devilish collection of works. FJAAK follow for the first of twin cameo appearances, partnering up with fellow live supremo and hardware aficionado KiNK. On ‘Overbridge' the trio deliver a cavernous, rolling number driven by a deep thrumming bass in addition to a razor-edged lead synth, and pulsating technopattern. Dajusch is known for incorporating his years of classical study in with his immersive musical style – and with his VA effort the Berlin native neatly showcases this. Easing the energy slightly, ‘Move' escalates from its warm, melodic intro into rumbling goliath of a beat comprising a looping, slew of gassy harmonics. The momentum of the release shifts considerably with the introduction of acutely versatile producer, DJ and sound artist Claus. The artist from Spandau leans his track ‘Bloomscroll' towards sparse, dubby sonics in which he intricately ties together to form churning, burgeoning soundscape. FJAAK jolt proceedings back into the techno groove with their signature blend of arresting sub-bass and reverberating rhythms, which come thick, fast and heavy on ‘Jackfruit'. The abstract wonder of Anna Z's broken-beat like stylings is fully explored on ‘Icy Liq'. It's outlandish and amorphous in its execution, causing a clattering percussive chaos that's choicely pieced together by the modular-extraordinaire. Nikk stealthy moves into breaks territory with his track ‘Down In The Shadows', packing a trap-like snare with an acid-flecked melody and dawn-breaking, dream-like textures. The penultimate track on the VA is ‘Tufted'. J.Manuel expertly employs a chorus of robot-like sonics that course through a short-circuiting low-end to produce a pacy, inescapable journey via a whirling, merciless beat. He is joined by the legendary producer Tobi Neumann for their menacingly ambient number titled ‘Fennec.' In parts a nod to UK dubstep, the duo concocts a fierce admixture of styles bolstering tribal-like components with industrialised overtones and methodically crafted drum-fills.

What are the common problems women in particular face when it comes to orgasms, and what are some of the top tips for overcoming these challenges? What if someone has never had an orgasm? Why is masturbation a pivotal place to start and how can someone develop a helpful masturbation practice? And how do sex toys - both solo and partnered - fit into all of this? About our guest: Charlene Douglas is the author of Come Closer: Everything You Ever Wanted to Ask a Sex and Relationship Therapist and is the UK's leading Sex and Intimacy Expert. She can be seen on the hugely popular Married at First Sight UK, Ch4 imparting her highly sought after knowledge and advice to the newlyweds. Charlene runs her own private practice where she works with both individuals and couples to help them to learn, understand and develop a better, more fulfilling sexual relationship. Her work helps clients unpack what is happening in their mind and what is causing their body to respond the way it does to sex and intimacy. Charlene has a passion for educating young people which was first realized whilst working for a youth organization in 2010. She started teaching about healthy relationships and answering every possible question on sexual health thrown at her by the young people.
