In this episode, we have Heather Marie Annis. And we are continuing our conversation about starting a business. In a previous episode, Heather's message was: Just Start. In this episode, Heather shares in full detail how she and her partners grew their Theatre Company. Heather and her partners have performed their shows all over the world. I love how Heather creates her businesses and I really wanted you all to hear from her about her style of business and the way that she lives her life! Heather’s message is: Start Small. You'll Figure It Out Along The Way. Women tend to have a lot of responsibilities….many different responsibilities! Because we feel we do not have time or the luxury to pursue our dreams, we put our dreams on hold or on the back burner. And then years pass…Heather has seen some of her friends start really small and as time passes the small project grows organically. For people who have responsibilities such as maintaining their jobs to support their families, Heather offers the perspective of “How about Just Starting small?” Follow your passion and start your project small because starting your project may add more fulfillment to your life. Start with the time you can devote, and start with NO EXPECTATIONS that your project MUST bring in millions of dollars. Heather’s friends (who pursued their dreams in small steps) started from their hearts and for their hearts. Even though the size of their business project was small, the project made them fuller and happier people.Go in small. Even start with one or a few hours a week! See how your project evolves. As your business grows then you can figure out the next level you’d like to take it to. :) To keep up-to-date with Heather's adventures, here are her details:Email: heathermarieannis@yahoo.ca or morroandjasp@gmail.com Twitter/IG/Facebook @heathermarieannis @morroandjasp

In this episode, we are continuing the conversation with Melo Ngai….my mom!The highlight message of this episode is: Starting a business is like planting a seed. You need to water it, nurture it, and watch it grow.According to my mom, patience is key. We, entrepreneurs, need to have a long-game orientation when we start our business. If we leave a seed out in the open (not in soil!) and we do not water it….how will it grow? Just like a seed, a business needs to be nurtured. Playing along with this analogy...we need fertile soil, adequate sunlight and...time! :) To follow my Mom, Melo Ngai, here are her details:Website: www.withlovescomesart.comFacebook: www.facebook.com/MeloWithLoveComesArtInstagram: @withlovecomesartEmail: melo@withlovecomesart.comI hope this episode has been a contribution to you! In this episode, I share my key go-to business tool when I build my businesses = God.Within 28 days, I finished the Podcast Launch! Series for She Means Bizness. The project started off with a sparkle of passion in my heart to use my business skills to empower/encourage/invite women to the business space! From that one seed in my heart, very shortly after I ended a podcast course that guided me how to turn my dream into a reality! What I’ve learned from this is like, things fall into place VERY FAST. And we don’t need a clear idea of what to do, rather we can keep to that burning desire in our hearts and ask God to show us and participate with us in our works. There was a sermon by Pastor Rick Warren. And he was saying - are you involving God in your life? Speaking to God and Praying to God is one thing...but how about asking God - hey God, can you participate in this with me? Can we do this together? God, what do you think about this? And God what do you think about that?I ask God about my business every day, He is my number one business partner! And building a business this way is so much more interactive and dynamic....and filled with so much ease!I hope this episode has been a contribution to you! What was your takeaway from this episode? Please share your thoughts by dropping a comment down below. I would love to hear from you! Rooting for your success,Stacy

In this episode, we are interviewing Donna Marie Talosig. At the time of recording, Donna started her business less than 2 months ago. Her business is called CakesCustards&Pies and she has no formal business training on how to start and run a business - and yet she is really bulldozing her way fearlessly. Donna is a woman of inspiring faith and she creates her business with the tagline 'It's the heart that bakes”. Donna shares how her business came together. Her full-time job is a flight attendant. As a result of COVID-19 travel restrictions, the whole airline industry is experiencing less inbound outbound flights. For flight attendants, this means more time at home and less time in the skies. The blessing of not flying has been that Donna had the chance to bake at home. Donna's entrepreneurial journey so far has been joyful. Donna has been baking for a long time and now it feels amazing for her to get paid as she is having so much fun baking! Donna's Message is: Step in FaithDonna encourages us to Step in Faith. If you have an idea inside of you, don't be afraid - just go for it. Donna went for it. Donna says she knows she is not capable and she does not have the 'skillset' for business, but knowing that God is behind her truly gives her all the confidence for her to push forward. In this episode, I’m introducing you to Cissy Chan. Cissy is a transformation coach. Her mission is to remove people’s limitations so that fire, passion, and aliveness will ignite within them. I turn to Cissy a lot. She has my back and whenever we chat, she has this strong energetic presence that somehow after I come out of our discussions with more clarity and also more ease of heart and mind. Cissy is also in the incubation period of launching her new business so I really wanted you all to hear from her in case you are at the starting phase of your business or in case you were considering starting one. Cissy recently started her business project. Before, she never considered turning her passion into a viable business because she had previous conceptions of how a business looked like. It was only when she unlearned all her preconceived notions of what business looked like then that led to the birth of her business. Adding to that, Cissy believes that it is important to incubate our business ideas in the developing stages. She suggests this because the incubation stage is fragile and it is important that the business you create represents you truly. Cissy's Message:Unlearn So That You Can Create Beyond Your Limitations. We learn consciously and we learn unconsciously....basically we learn all the time! When we reflect on what keeps us stuck, most of the time we discover that we have some ideas of what something is like. (For example: how a business looks like) So when we unlearn, we can actually clear our creation canvas....and create on a blank canvas. (And even draw outside the canvas too!) Follow Cissy to keep up-to-date with her inspirational journey here:Website: www.cissychan.comI hope this episode has been a contribution to you! What was your takeaway from this episode? Are you starting your business too? What were some ideas about business that you had to unlearn to get you to where you are today? In this episode, I’m interviewing Cindy Wu. My good friend Cindy is the Honorary President of the HK Baptist University School of Chinese Medicine and the Vincent & Lily Woo Foundation, She is also the Head Martial Arts teacher at the Mandarin Flagship Hotel in which she specialises in Qi Gong. Both Cindy and Cindy’s grandmother Mrs. Lily Woo are amazing women. Lily Woo was the Director of Po Leung Kuk (which is an organisation here in Hong Kong that supports orphaned children, education and other charitable services) When I mentioned to Cindy about She Means Bizness, both Cindy and I agreed that we had to tell her grandmother’s story. Mrs.Lily Woo was a woman who fully embodies, “She Means Bizness”. For Cindy, “She Means Bizness” makes her think of a female who knows exactly what she wants; a woman who doesn’t mess around. A woman who sees a target and goes for it and doesn’t get deviated. Cindy also appreciates that nowadays it is socially acceptable for women to be entrepreneurs or to go into business. Some say that Mrs. Lily Woo was born in the wrong era. She had all the ingredients to be a successful business person but during her time it was not socially acceptable for a woman to be a successful business person. Now, we are so blessed to have the opportunities we have and the possibilities are endless. Cindy's Message:We are fortunate to be born in an era in which it is okay for us women to succeed at what we are good at. We have all the resources and all the emotional support to achieve everything that our grandmothers wish they could have done. Now, we can do it for them.Follow Cindy on Instagram to keep up-to-date with her impact-driven inspirational journey here:Instagram: @cinnaqi I hope this episode has been a contribution to you!
