Rabbi Chaim Shapiro - Spread the Message “It has to krich in your kishkes that hayitochen Moshiach is not here!” “The only way we can create this sense of urgency for Moshiach, is if we connect ourselves to the Rebbe and learn the Rebbe's Sichos and Ma'amorim!” “The Rebbe Maharash told the man 'If you learn a full hour of Chassidus, then you will surely find the time to learn Gemarah the rest of the day or at least part of it.'”
God wants you to find the purpose that he has for you in your life. God has good things planned to bless you and to bless others around you. We often celebrate the day that we are born, but hardly do we recognize the second most important day. That is when we find our why. Welcome back to Redemption Church. My name is Chris Fluitt and I want to greet all you wonderful people here with us IN-PERSON, as well as all of you joining ONLINE. Special shout out to Lissa Lucas. Thank you for your encouragement, Lissa. We are starting a brand-new sermon series today called “Born for This.” Born for This Mark Twain once said, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” We know and celebrate the day we are born. People bring a cake with candles, balloons, and gifts to celebrate your birthday. We have reminders on Facebook and google calendar to help us keep up with birthdays, but that other important day Mark Twain spoke of the day we find out “why;” that day is not so widely known or celebrated. You were born, but do you know why? What is it that you were born for? Why were you placed on the Earth? Today I want you to find your ‘why'. Find your Why Where should you look to find your why? Look within? Humanism does this when it focuses on human potential. You are broken, confused, and aimless, and looking inside yourself just leads to more of the same. We become self-centered when we look to self. Look beside you? This is like trying to cheat off your neighbor in math class. We have looked to the celebrities… only to find they are depressed and sad. We have looked to our governmental leaders… only to find they have no answers but to blame the other guy. We have looked to the highly intelligent… at least we were told they were highly intelligent, but we have found them to be proven wrong over time. While we appreciate science, let's remember that today's science is often proven wrong with tomorrow's evidence. Look to the creator! If you want to truly understand a device or invention you must talk to either the CREATOR or the OWNER'S MANUAL. We have a creator, and He has given us an owner's manual! It is the Bible! Have you been looking to the creator and what He says in His manual? If not, you might be getting some things wrong. If you don't know the proper use, you are likely to misuse. (Toilet Brush example) Just today I was standing in front of my mirror, and I was going to comb my hair, but I could not find my comb or my brush. I was about to yell at my kids, but no bother. I looked down and found a device that would work just as well. It was just sitting by the toilet for some reason, but this brush really worked wonders with my hair. I am not sure what they call this thing, but it has many great uses… back scratcher, you could serve pasta with it, and perhaps even brush your teeth. Our society has not looked to the creator and His manual to understand the proper use of things like… Marriage, sexuality, strength, wealth… so we painfully misuse them just like I mis-used that toilet brush. This is why we must look to the creator and consult his handy user's manual. If you will look in God's Word, you will find He says a lot about you. Ephesians 1:11-12 (MESSAGE) It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone. Are you looking for your why? Look to the Creator! Look to Jesus. In Jesus we find out who we are and why we were created. Before we knew Him, He had His eye on us and had designs for us. Colossians 1:15-17 (MESSAGE) 15-18 We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God's original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible,

10 Years of increased physical activity (exercise) AFTER MIDLIFE can reduce mortality rate by 32% Publication: British Medical Journal Subjects: 2205 50 yr-olds in 1970-73 What: Re-examined at age 60, 70, 77, and 82 Results: After an increase in physical activity, subjects could not be distinguished [on the basis of differences in cardiovascular risk factor profile] from those who had always had high activity. The value of increasing activity rates was similar to that associated with stopping smoking compared to continued smoking. Message: It's never too late! Prove-It-to-Me-Girl? A 2019 study in Aging offers proof you've got to eat to win. I've shared numerous studies here, blogs, and podcasts (link in bio) about ability to reverse 179 genes associated with aging, reverse mortality rate as you age, and so much more with an “it's never too late message.” Yet, there's this little detail. Lifting weights (properly to muscle fatigue), is ONE STEP. You must have the presence of adequate protein to carry out the mission of younger, stronger, leaner. A comparison of low protein after resistance training vs high protein after training found that without high protein, there was no “reverse aging” effect in the muscle. “Regeneration of muscle occurs only with high protein availability after resistance exercise.” For older adults, the amount of protein required to hit the “high protein” threshold, increases. That little bit of cottage cheese or yogurt after, although yes, have protein in them: it's not HIGH ENOUGH alone. [And remember, dairy may increase inflammation instead of halting it – the goal of the protein- and sabotage your results] Source: Yang C, Jiao Y, Wei B, et al. Who Is In Control? Reader: Jon Watson Date: 27th October 2021 Time: Passage: Genesis 8:22 ------------------- There are many predictions about the predicament our planet Earth is facing. Climate change is big news, carbon emissions are being monitored carefully and fossil fuels are becoming very 'uncool'. According to some experts, we are heading for the destruction of the planet. Of course these are issues we must take seriously. Climate change — and there have always been periods of climate change - has really severe consequence for many communities and animals if the level of the oceans rise the temperatures of the oceans rise and so on. Certainly the Bible urges us to be good stewards, managers of the earth God has given us. And the Bible has also a word to tell us about how and when our world will end. It is a solemn word and well worth thinking about: "But when the Day of God's Judgement does come, it will be unannounced, like a thief. The sky will collapse with a thunderous bang, everything disintegrating in a huge conflagration, earth and all its works exposed to the judgement of God." (2 Peter 3:12, The Message) It will happen at God's appointed time. Until then, what God promised to Noah will continue. God is in control. The reason the world exists is because God willed it and it will fulfil his purposes from beginning to end. ## Prayer Dear Lord, help me to respect and take care of your good earth. Amen.

You come to one figure and it is called Paul. What do you think the notice describing him might say? Well, here is what he wrote about himself in verse 16: "Public Sinner Number One — someone who could never have made it apart from sheer mercy." (The Message) It seemed that Paul, to begin with, was a' no-hoper' as far as becoming a Christian was concerned, but God was patient with him even though Paul persecuted Christians, and was insolent — he was a thoroughly nasty character. But God was patient with him. All that he had heard about Jesus slowly but surely began to seep into Paul's mind and heart, and the mercy and grace of God brought him to put his trust for salvation in the very Jesus whom he had been fighting against. God had been patient with him. When Paul thought of it all it was almost a if he gave a leap of joy and sang out "Deep honour and bright glory to the King of all time — One God, Immortal, Invisible, ever and always. Oh yes!" (verse 17, The Message) Perhaps you pray for someone who seems far away from trusting in Jesus. Don't give up praying. Be patient. God is patient — he was with Paul and maybe he was with us too. Keep on praying, God hears us! ## Prayer Dear Lord, Thank you for your patience with me. Help me to have the same. Amen.

The speaker is John Newman, the CEO of New Hope Lafayette as a part of The Open Door Church's Community Outreach Sunday. Message: It opens with Micah 6:8" He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" KJV God, knowing man's heart, uses Micah to discuss His expectations of justice, kindness (mercy) and humbleness with Israel The expectations are a reflection of His love, faithfulness and compassion without abandonment. We are to imitate His mercy (required to do justice) for us toward others. In God's economy there are provisions for the poor, relying on man to hear God's voice and open his hand to a neighbor. In Lafayette, demographics predict poverty, which reflect low performance, low emotional skills and directly correlates to the socio-economic status of the parents. The child is confronted with the reality of "being too weak for the neighborhood or too tough for the schools" with the parental advice for a threat to "attack first or be a target". In this environment, a child grows up lacking the skills to escape generational poverty and hope is lost. The critical element of escape is the help of an "admiring adult". An admiring adult with God's heart says "this is wrong, this needs to be fixed!" There is no silver bullet, but we can express our unique God-given gifts to the community and be a solution. Mr. Newman concludes with "Love God, love your neighbor". Scripture: Deuteronomy 15:11 "For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land." KJV

Maturity in Christ will protect the body from division. Carnality or immaturity will keep the people of God from moving further in the truth of God's word. When the weaknesses of envy, strife and division are seen in the body it points to immaturity. Only the immature select their fellow laborers in ministry as their leaders above Christ. Message: It's not enough to hear, we must obey. respond and seek the viewpoint of wisdom to be strengthened in spiritual truths. We have devices which reject God, respond without God and are unlike God. There are 3 truths speaking to counsel us: God is wise, the world is raging but God disciplines and God will sustain us. Scripture: Proverbs 19:20=21 "Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

Message: It's prophesied a king would come to do battle for his nation tangled in the depravity of sin. As Jesus entered the city, garments and branches are laid down, signifying those who lose their lives to save it, putting off of the old self to put on Christ's righteousness, the garment of salvation. Together the crowd responds to hearing and receiving the gospel with Hosanna (Come Lord save us now). King Jesus had arrived. Scripture: Mark 11:7-10 "And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way. And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest." KJV

Episode 29 Yes we want to live a life that is recommendable and we want to live in a manner that others respect how we live as followers of Christ. But just because we live a life like that doesn't mean everyone will respect that. As followers of Christ we will be ridiculed and we will get made fun of and we will get "hated" on. The fact is there are mean and evil people in this world. So stop caring what others think of you! You are spending time and energy and emotion worrying about it but in the end the only opinion that matters is God's!! Proverb 29:25 The fear of human opinion disables; trusting in God protects you from that. (Message) It is dangerous to be concerned with what others think of you, but if you trust the Lord, you are safe. (GNT) Gal 1:10 10 You can see that I am not trying to please you by sweet talk and flattery; no, I am trying to please God. If I were still trying to please men I could not be Christ's servant. (TLB) 10 Does this sound as if I am trying to win human approval? No indeed! What I want is God's approval! Am I trying to be popular with people? Wayne's Message: “It's was a very tough decision to make, but after much thought and consideration, I have decided the best thing for me to do is to take a break to focus on getting my health back in check. Those of you who have listened throughout the past year or two may be aware of my situation. Sometimes we think we can handle it all. Work, life, health, and depression. But thats not always possible to balance. I feel the best thing to do at the moment is step back, recenter, find happiness, and focus on getting life in order. Right now I'm planning on going to Los Angeles to be near family. Being near my support system will help with this greatly. I hope to return back with you all on air at 97.1 ZHT again soon. It has been an absolute dream come true being able to be apart of all of your lives these past 7 years on ZHT, and past 4 years on the Frankie and Jess Morning show. I will miss you during the time I am away and cannot thank you all enough for the love and support you have shown." •We will miss our Wayne. He has been such a happy and bright part of our every day lives. We are proud of him for making the decision to put himself and his health first. •

BAGGAGE Relational Baggage Genesis 11:27-28 “This is the account of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor and Haran. And Haran became the father of Lot. While his father Terah was still alive, Haran died in Ur of the Chaldeans, in the land of his birth.” NIV Genesis 11:31-32 “Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Haran, they settled there. Terah lived 205 years, and he died in Haran.” NIV Keeps us from our potential. Psalm 73:21-22 “When my heart was grieved and my spirit embittered, I was senseless and ignorant…” NIV Pollutes our other relationships. Hebrews 12:15 Make sure no one gets left out of God's generosity. Keep a sharp eye out for weeds of bitter discontent. A thistle or two gone to seed can ruin a whole garden in no time. Message • It makes us defensive. • It makes us distant. • It makes us demanding. Destroys our relationship with God. Mark 11:25 “When you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins too.” New Living Matthew 6:12, 14 “Forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors. . . . For if you forgive others when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” NIV The Healing Process Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” NIV 1. Reveal the hurt. Psalm 32:3 “When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.” NIV Psalm 39:2 “But when I was silent and still, not even saying anything good, my anguish increased.” NIV 2. Release the people. Matthew 18:21, 22 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus said “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.” NIV 1 Peter 2:23 “When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.” NIV 3. Refocus on Godʼs plan. Genesis 50:19-20 “Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done…” NIV
If you’re anything like me you love to create content. It’s a path to sharing your insights with others, and sometimes it’s the easiest way to clarify and focus your thinking on a topic. But you know what? There comes a time when you need to stop creating more content and leverage what you have created. To look at those files and piles of documents created from your ideas and look for a way to share them so you can create more impact for the audience you serve. For most of us the very idea of pulling back on creation is frightening. We’ve become very good at creating new stuff, we enjoy it, and everybody knows it’s what we need to do to build our platforms. The idea of shifting our energy to refining and repurposing feels uncomfortable, and to some of us downright boring. Yet only through doing that will you be able to create your most significant impact. Because stepping back and examining what you’ve created is the key to defining a strategic path for your work moving forward—a path where you define your core framework and start using it to connect with and serve your audience. The truth is that if you’ve been creating for any length of time there are common themes that run through everything you do. Things that you always weave in, whether consciously or not. Your go to stories, your key insights and most shared recommendations. Those things form your core framework, and they are the message that you most need to share; and frankly the one you can’t help but share because it comes from deep within you. I was reminded of this in a recent conversation with a new connection who asked me lots of questions, listened to my answers, learned about my purpose and my process, then served me by saying: “You need to stop creating new stuff, you already have enough content. You’re just not leveraging it.” My initial reaction was to pushback with a firm “No, I can’t do that.” But after a bit of thought and some introspection, as well as a timely nudge from one of those ideas that crossed my path at just the right moment (thank you Larry Winget), I acknowledged the truth in the statement. That’s the moment I realized that my core framework is something I have used since I was a kid in 4-H completing projects and learning about new things…projects that taught me the power of what I now recognize as my core framework for everything I’ve ever done and for the work I do today with those I serve: Step One: Define the outcome Step Two: Develop the Path Step Three: Deliver the Message It is the path to impact that I always share in one form or another in the work I do from the stage, in one-on-one coaching sessions, and in consulting engagements with clients. And acknowledging that is going to help me become much more intentional about leveraging it to create more impact and be more strategic in the way I approach content creation and sharing. Action Recommendation: Mine your content to discover your core framework so you can become more focused and create more impact in your content creation and sharing. Podcast Download: In this podcast episode I referenced a process for tracking your time to gain a better understanding of where you are focusing your effort and energy. Download the worksheets I referenced here so you can easily examine the way you're investing your time each day.
