I am back and I'm so excited to be recording this episode, it's been two weeks with no episodes because, I was so poorly but I AM BACK! What I wanted to be able to do as part of this comeback is take it back to basics. I really want over the next few episodes to talk to you about what it really takes to have a brand, most importantly a personal brand and how we go about building one with fire and edge. So in this episode, I'm talking to the beautiful Amy Atkinson from The Femtrepreneur, all about niching and the mistakes we constantly see around niching and even mistakes we've made ourselves. Let's banish a few myths around niching today so that you can start building a brand that sets your soul on fire. Amy, comes at this slightly differently today. Me with the aligmnet, heart thing you know and love and Amy more strategically about how to find your niche. I think it's good to see all sides, because when you come into this online space, I think niching causes one of the biggest confusions. It really doesn't need to be this hard. Amy teaches coaches and trainers to level up on their instagram, smash their website and create email strategies to improve their sales. She truly is a marketing queen. So today you have two powerhouses in the brand and marketing space, bringing different perspectives on a topic we all need to be nailing in this online space. You are going to need a notepad and nice cuppa for this one. There are some really beneficial hints, tips and lessons in this weeks episode. In this episode, we are continuing the conversation with Melo Ngai….my mom!The highlight message of this episode is: Starting a business is like planting a seed. You need to water it, nurture it, and watch it grow.According to my mom, patience is key. We, entrepreneurs, need to have a long-game orientation when we start our business. If we leave a seed out in the open (not in soil!) and we do not water it….how will it grow? Just like a seed, a business needs to be nurtured. Playing along with this analogy...we need fertile soil, adequate sunlight and...time! :) To follow my Mom, Melo Ngai, here are her details:Website: www.withlovescomesart.comFacebook: www.facebook.com/MeloWithLoveComesArtInstagram: @withlovecomesartEmail: melo@withlovecomesart.comI hope this episode has been a contribution to you! Priyanka Raha is helping families reimagine digital playtime and create Digital Citizens with her startup, PopSmartKids. It all began when her young sons went from sharing their excitement from building legos or artwork masterpieces to becoming lost to the world while they watched something on their screens. There was no longer any shared interaction, and she had a difficult time getting their attention.Sound familiar parents? Priyanka has a deep love of technology and a distinguished career as a software engineer. But she didn't want to lose her children to the isolating world of screen time, so she took her passion for technology and her children’s future and launched PopSmartKids! PopSmartKids provides parents with tools that will reduce the burden of them feeling guilty about handing over the tablet to their children. The platform ignites imagination through writing stories and creating art in a collaborative online experience. Through storyboards and art, kids can collaborate with their parents or their peers in a virtual playground, transforming their screen time from a black hole of nothingness to a meaningful, engaging, interactive adventure. With PopSmartKids, Priyanka is driving the Mentoring-Over-Monitoring revolution and is committed to promoting Digital Citizenship and responsible online behavior. The courses are typically geared for small niches where they can create a big difference and impact in that industry. She created her first online course about how to live in a vintage camper that was very successful. Based on her success of this course and the online marketing of it, she started Femtrepreneur. Within 3 years, they're on track to be a $3MM business. These are webinars hosted by both parties – so each person with an audience is on the webinar, promotes it to their audience and sells their products. They created product bundles that sold and produced a lot of revenue. This was the most successful thing to get started and she focused on doing this only. STOP DOING LIST You have to recognize what provides the most ROI for your time and your business. And then STOP doing everything else. Your success will be dependent on your ability to say “NO”. HIRING FOR YOUR TEAM Hire people because you see they have real talent and can bring something to your team. Once they're on the team, take 30-60 days to notice what they are specifically talented or skilled to do. That may mean they change roles or get added responsibility. Hiring the right people to fill the right roles will help you position yourself as the leader/CEO to do what only you can do – and what you enjoy doing. WEBINAR PROCESS TO PROMOTE SALES & GROW YOUR BUSINESS One of the best ways you can promote your products and brand is to do a webinar. It's a perfect platform to showcase what you're selling and create revenue. There are great systems and templates you can get (from Mariah here) and plug in to your business. You don't have to create anything from scratch when it comes to webinars and they can provide a big boost in your business. Email your top take-aways and learnings to Casey@CaseyGraham.com

**Best Of 2016** Mariah Coz has been building businesses since 2008. After being in a touring punk band for a few years, she decided she wanted income in between tours and got started online. She first started out on Etsy selling vintage clothes and sunglasses that she would find at thrift stores for a profit. Then she purchased, renovated, and flipped vintage camper trailers for a few years. Mariah became a public speaker, developed a proprietary curriculum for high school girls that she toured around the country, and even did freelance museum curation. Then, after burning out on selling physical products on Etsy and her crazy speaking/teaching travel schedule, she let go of my profitable, but crazy businesses to pursue "online courses" and get REAL freedom back. Mariah set a goal to replace her Etsy and speaking income with leveraged, passive online courses. 30 days later, Mariah had made $10k selling a course about living in a vintage camper. That was 4 years ago! It changed everything and set her on the path she is on today - helping people turn their weird passions, hobbies and unique skills into leveraged digital products. Now, Mariah runs Femtrepreneur, a 7-figure business that helps badass young women start their own online course businesses so they can lead autonomous, independent lives! In this episode, Mariah is sharing some of her best tips for getting recognized and building successful and profitable courses in your niche industry, sharing why she loves super small niches for course building, and how you can get started today with your next big idea. Mariah Coz is the girl genius behind Femtrepreneur, where she helps people build profitable online businesses out of their passions. Mariah has done an incredible jobs of building businesses that support the lifestyle she wants, such as travelling half of the year. In this episode, we chat a bit about business and how anyone can making a living from the things that they love. This might not sound like personal development but I really think it is. If we're spending all day at a soul sucking job when we feel called to do something else, that takes it's toll on us.
