October is here and we're going to the south for this one... the deep south. The team takes a trip to hell and the Big Apple with Adam Sandler's 2000 box office bomb LITTLE NICKY! Does it deserve all the hate it gets or is it an underrated (not uncut) gem? We got takes! Oh and we totally determine which is the actual best Sandler movie of all time. Enjoy!

Ghostface is back, baby! This week the gang tackles Scream IV, the technology, the new blood, etc. Phill is high on... (checks notes) tacos and despite their best efforts Anthony and Alix cannot rein him in. It's not all fun and games though, the gang pays tribute to THE horror director, Wes Craven. 

SEASON 7 BEGINS on a Friday the 13th, so naturally, why not cover the 8th installment of the movie that carries that namesake... this time in the big apple! That's right, we're covering FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VIII: JASON TAKES MANHATTAN We break down the absurd plot of Jason's cruise ship experience, talk about the script that could have been, try to find other vacation destinations for Jason, and possibly assign Webster a new nickname. WE'RE BACK BABY!

Microsoft bringing back de-listed Marvel games from year's past AND Ubisoft's Switch 2 launch plans? Big August with LOTS to talk about. We run through GamesCom announcements, Last of US 2 TV show actress's woes with superfans, and a whole lot more. We also go on a long trip down nostalgia lane for the Nintendo DS in the 2000s, when inappropriate picto chat made movie premieres fun. Check it out!

Season 6 is in the books folks! As we close out the season we're revisiting some of our favorite (and least favorite) horror films released in 2024 so far, as well as anticipating what is up next before we take our hiatus. Joining us this week is Danny Gutierrez from Turning Tables Podcast and Hops and Notes!  We talk about our hiatus this year and what that means for Season 7 at the end of the episode! In our latest anatomy of an adaptation, we hilariously breakdown the THREE versions of OLDBOY, from the iconic 2003 Korean adaptation, its manga source material, and the American remake. We are only kind to one of these adaptations, but let's see how different they are? We turn our play-by-play format on its head by cover three distinct versions of one story at the same time (weird, but it works), remake iconic American films BADLY (in honor of the 2013 version of the story), and dive deep into the darkest aspects of Korean cinema. It's a good one for a classic story!

It's the wonder of nature, baby! We're back with another Alix Webster birthday pick with this 90's disaster classic: TWISTER. Strap in, watch out for flying cows, and follow emotional storm chasers Alix, Anthony and Phill as they revisit this 90's classic. Danny Gutierrez from Hops & Notes and Turning Tables Podcast joins Alix this week as they discuss the recent horror film sensation, When Evil Lurks (2023) This Shudder exclusive gives us A LOT so we unpack so we coveras much as we can but we just don't know where to start. Alix spills a seltzer water and we discuss the most shocking moments from the film. Mostly spoiler free for the first 30 minutes or so! Thanks for listening! 

We kick off MONSTER MAY with one of our most hilarious play-by-plays, a stacked A-list cast for a pure B-movie, and a snake tier list you won't want to miss (seriously, it's absurd) as we cover the 1997 cult classic ANACONDA. Bad impressions are in abundance as we try to decipher Jon Voight's Paraguayan accent, Ice Cube's shameless music plugs, and do our best to not fawn over J-Lo (it doesn't work).  Seriously, this one is hilarious. What has WWE, Ninja Turtles, Breaking 2, and Mark Wahlberg references through a running time of just over an hour? Not this movie, but definitely this episode! This week Phill and Anthony take over and cover another sequel that set up a franchise for success: SAW 2! We do a detailed plot breakdown, talk about some gnarly production details, and get nostalgic for 2005! Play a game with us in this week's episode!

Our bi-annual tradition continues as and gets closer to is conclusion than ever... with a movie we got A LOT to say about. Myers' penultimate tale is here with David Gordon Green's HALLOWEEN KILLS! We go through a very thorough play-by-play, discuss certain world-changing events  that changed this movie's release, and provide our OWN version of the Myers/Strode showdown in the context of Wrestlemania 40... it makes sense, trust us!

There are a lot of movies out this year so far, and we got takes! We're hard at work on our next big episode, but while you wait how about our thoughts on some of the more recent horror/sci-fi entries in cinemas right now? Not enough? Okay, what about what we're looking forward to? There ya go! Our thoughts on: Civil War Last Night with the Devil Stop Motion Dune 2 Monkey Man And some others we'll be seeing later this year! Alix has a story to finish so she's absent this week as Phill and Anthony tackle the dimly lit found footage sequel, Paranormal Activity 2. Was this the whitest found footage film ever made? Most likely. Phill and Anthony weren't the biggest fans, but you know what they are fans of? Quoting literally any other movie instead of talking about this one. It's short but fun, check it out! 

Birthday month concludes with a look at one of Anthony's favorite creators and his most influential creation. Sci-Fi mixes with social commentary and completely changes the game in Rod Serling's THE TWILIGHT ZONE! We cover the journey of Rod Serling and break down three fundamental episodes for this iconic series: Living Doll, The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street, and Dust! Liste, rate, and enjoy! 

We're traveling back to another nostalgia pick this month for Anthony's birthday month and it's MEN IN BLACK (1997). Anthony might be sick in this one but he's not too sick to enjoy one of the classics of the late 90s paired with a killer original song. It goes without saying but this movie is special to all three of us, listen to us praise this classic summer blockbuster!  **flashes nuralyzer** you want to give us a 5 star rating on itune and/or Spotify... oh and get an interior decorator in here quick cause... damn. 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANTHONY! And as we continue with the birthday boy's picks for the month, we sharpen our Hattori Hanzo swords and step into the world of Kill Bill Volumes 1 & 2! Enjoy this 2 hour episode as Anthony, Alix and Phill reminisce this Quentin Tarantino classic from 2003 and 2004.  From the cast, the story, the influences and the music, we slice our way through this epic revenge tale starring Uma Thurman and an insane cast of killers! And while you're tuning in, perform the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique with a positive review! 

The first bday pick of Anthony's birth month mandate concludes with our darkest wrestling episode yet, seeing three influential wrestlers reach the top of the mountain and the darkest depths. Part two of our Defectors of WCW series is out and we're running through the Undisputed highs with Jericho, Eddie's redemption before the end, and the tragic deterioration of Benoit. We're back with a deep dive into the dark world of sports entertainment! This week we're offering a two-part series on a trio of wrestlers who helped define the industry and the dark paths that followed.  We're taking a look at the true rebels of the industry: Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, and Chris Benoit: The Defectors of WCW. This one is going to get DARK considering the lives of some of our subjects, so listener discretion is advised but if you're game, get ready for a ride through the highs and lows of wrestling's biggest era, and the stars that helped shape it. We take a look at this transitional era for Capcom and wonder why Phill is so hung up on making Nic Cage references throughout the episode. Hello 2024, it's zombie invasion time! Okay ideally not, but in terms of the podcast we're embracing it as we cover a true classic and its often-celebrated remake... do both stack up years later? Our takes may surprise you! We're doing our classic REMAKE VS OG with George Romero and Zack Snyder's DAWN OF THE DEAD. We take a look at how politics shaped both narratives (in the 70s and 00s, of course), debate which filmmakers' style is overbearing or just right, and even figure out how to survive our own zombie apocalypse! This week the gang dives into the sci-fi action thriller that terrified and captivated an entire generation: The Terminator from 1984!  From James Cameron's fever dream to being launched into the cultural zeitgiest, we talk all things terminator, a lot of things Arnold Schwarzenegger, and a few things O.J Simpson. It's a fun one, tune in! 

We're taking a break from our normal programming to highlight the latest epic surrounding the King of the Monsters, and this one is BRUTAL. We had an IMAX adventure complete with the fire department and an emotionally invested crowd, but it was worth it to bring you our review of GODZILLA MINUS ONE! What did we think of Toho's latest release? Find out! 

Happy Cronenberg Christmas everyone! This year Alix's pick for our journey through Cronenberg's filmography is none other than The Brood from 1979! Discussions on pregnancy horror continues as the gang discusses not only The Brood but also WWE's The Brood, naturally. There are asides on top of asides this week, but no matter what... we're always on the look out for little imps in rainbow snowsuits trying to kill us. Enjoy!

One, two, Freddy's coming for you....three, four, welcome to Prime Time, B!tch! We are back with an all-new episode! This time around, we are going back to the world of Freddy Krueger with A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. Sit back, but don't fall asleep, as Alix, Anthony and Phill explore this fan-favorite of the Freddy franchise! We had a great time with this episode, but we can't guarantee we didn't hold back on our X-Men references. Enjoy! 

It's that time of the year again, and we're sticking to tradition by covering ANOTHER Halloween timeline mishap, this time in the form of a "requel." That's right, we're finally at Carpenter's return to the series that made him a big name, and the comedy director he entrusted it to with HALLOWEEN (2018)! We run through A LOT of failed Halloween reboot ideas post-Zombie (way to go, Dimension), how Carpenter and Jamie Lee Curtis found themselves working The Shape yet again, and we even do our OWN requel tier list. It's a holiday celebration! Enjoy and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Alix may be back and 2/3 hosts are worse for wear, but we power on! We're tackling the gruesome and intense home invasion New French Extremity film, Inside from 2007! Alix came back just in time for the pregnancy horror film that can make anyone squirm in their seats, it's a short episode but a good one -- check it out! 

Anthony and Phill continue their October takeover and celebrate this year's Friday the 13th with one of the more divisive entries in the franchise: Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood! The team take a look at the first concept of "Freddy vs Jason" which almost resulted in Jason vs Cheech and Chong... Yeah. They also cover the introduction of the legendary Kane Hodder (complete with crazy set incidents), how the team got around the "Jason vs Carrie" comparisons, and go through a massive 80s gauntlet of opponents for Jason. Also, talk of an Oscar-caliber movie starring Mrs Voorhees' Baby Boy? Learn more and stay tuned for more October madness!

Anthony and Phill take over the show for the first week of Spooky Season, with the unhinged duo looking back at a surprisingly unhinged Tim Burton banger: BEETLEJUICE! The duo does their best not to say Webster's name three times as they break down the plot, look back at the VERY adult original script, swoon over Danny Elfman, and give their thoughts on what the confirmed sequel may bring to the table. Is this Burton's best? All we know is IT'S SHOWTIME!

New season, new format, and a true classic to kick it off. This week we're covering REAR WINDOW... and a whole lot more! The team takes a look at Hithcock's classic as well as three adaptations: the very 80s Body Doube, the radically 90s Simpsons episode Bar of Darkness, and the angsty 00s Disturbia! How do these adaptations stack up? Can we create our own for the 2020s?!? Give it a listen and find out!
