To wrap up November, as is customary, we're looking ahead a month, as Brennan is joined by Cameron Shaw and Brian Fowler for our preview of the films coming out in December 2025. The wintry fun begins with the current and former Midwesterner joining forces to explain to Brennan the hellish phenomenon of "lake-effect snow". And then it's time to look at the very strange offerings of the last month of the year, such as a meta-remake of Anaconda and a Neil Diamond singalong that isn't actually about Neil Diamond. They also try to give the absent editor Tim a heart attack by saying some very mean things about Avatar: Fire and Ash, but there's plenty of other potentially interesting things to dig into. Prior to popping open the release calendar, the team has a movie roundtable, with Brian finally catching up to 2017's The Babysitter, Cameron visiting the highly-anticipated new Frankenstein by Gullermo Del Toro, and Brennan check out the second big Stephen King film of the fall, with the new adaptation of The Running Man.
Here's everything about snakes you didn't know was missing from your life told in the only way Chubstep knows how. Steed and Jrad start with a timely complaint about a show ending, and a sledding commercial that is not based in reality before getting to Snakes. The guys cover when snakes had legs, Steed's run in with a mole in his basement, almost stepping on a rattlesnake in The Badlands, if some snakes are incels, flying snakes, the type of people that make selling reptiles their living, a series of snake owners killed by their pets, snakes eating themselves, how the largest King Cobra ever was a victim of WWII, Snake on a Plane, and Anaconda.

Joint Sword 2024: China's Anaconda Strategy Against Taiwan and Washington's Persistence in Failed Engagement. Captain James Fanell and Bradley Thayer assert that America must urgently reverse its strategic errors regarding China. Fanell notes that China is currently demonstrating aggression toward Taiwan, announcing two days of "Joint Sword 2024 Alpha" exercises conducted very close to Taiwan, inside the contiguous zone. China is using the recent inauguration speech of Taiwan's new President Lai as the casus belli, claiming his equating Taiwan and China as two separate nations constitutes a move toward independence. Fanell expects the operation to include ballistic missiles fired into closure areas, with China practicing targeting key areas, blockading, and isolating Taiwan. The PRC is employing an "Anaconda strategy," increasing pressure and suffocating Taiwan. Bradley Thayer assesses Washington's response, stating that fundamentally, little has changed despite some rhetorical and policy shifts, as the Biden administration remains influenced by the "engagement school." Thayer attributes the persistence of this flawed framework to the PRC's strategy of "elite capture," spanning Wall Street, the Chamber of Commerce, think tanks, K Street law firms, and Congress.
