We kick off 2023 with a roundup episode in the KIPS Podcast that includes a new segment with Dr. Emily Splichal. Dr. Splichal is a podiatrist by trade but also a fitness entrepreneur that owns Naboso Technology (foot care) and EBFA (fitness education). She shares a foot care tip to kick off 2023 and some tips that you can share with your clients. This episode also features summaries of the two podcast episodes that were released in December 2022. One of the podcast episodes released in December was on the benefits of YouTube for fitness professionals. A mistake that health and fitness professionals assume is that you have fully invest yourself with YouTube. YouTube can be used at your own pace and can help you build a content development strategy to utilize on a weekly basis. Host Tyler Valencia, PhD(c) shares how you can use a method called YouTube Centered Digital Marketing that essentially gives you a starting point for creating content. This method can help you create content for your blog, newsletter, and social media channels. Working on these items can help you gain familiarity with YouTube which opens up more options in the future. The second episode from the KIPS Podcast released in December was with Anthony Wall, MS. Anthony is the current Senior Director of Global Business Development at the American Council on Exercise (ACE), where he helps grow the education of ACE abroad through partnerships and conferences. During the episode with Anthony, he shares how he got to his current position and then dives deep into one of his favorite topics, small group training. In this interview with Tony Wall, we talk about all things relating to what Noses are, and what is their mission and we dive down the rabbit hole of where all humans come from, and what human injury affects us all.   We discuss how human injury plays out in today's world, how we override what's been ingrained in our brains and what humans are missing in their quest to evolve to sustainability.   This was an amazing conversation and we definitely went deep.    Tune in and if you haven't already, subscribe to the podcast to never miss another episode.   If you enjoy this episode, pay it forward to ONE person and if you enjoy the podcast, take 1 minute to share a review.   Thank you and enjoy the episode!   Dr. Vic   Who is Tony Wall? Anthony Wall is the founder and president of Noēsis, a non-profit dedicated to issues of human sustainability, to examine evolutionary influence upon modern behavior, and to one-day free humankind from the churn of perpetual conflict.    Wall, who comes from a family of nine, graduated from the William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia. He then moved on to Chicago, where he graduated from Lake Forest College. Wall credits his Liberal Arts education as the catalyst for his ongoing interest in existential philosophy. He spent two decades of his career in the financial services industry. He found himself always drawn back to the study of humankind.   In 2019, Wall established Noēsis. He created a series of educational videos to describe the immensity of evolutionary influence on modern behavior. Wall describes a notable paradox. The primitive compulsions that kept evolving humans safe now combine to block humanity's arrival into a sustainable future.   How to Connect with Tony? Back in late July of this year, I had the opportunity to sit down with David Johns from the National Black Justice Coalition, a civil rights organization dedicated to the empowerment of Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer and same gender loving (LGBTQ/SGL) people, including people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). NBJC’s mission is to end racism, homophobia, and LGBTQ/SGL bias and stigma. As America’s leading national Black LGBTQ/SGL civil rights organization focused on federal public policy, NBJC has accepted the charge to lead Black families in strengthening the bonds and bridging the gaps between the movements for racial justice and LGBTQ/SGL equality. David J. Johns is known for his passion, public policy acumen and fierce advocacy for youth. He is an enthusiast about equity—leveraging his time, talent and treasures to address the needs of individuals and communities often neglected and ignored. A recognized thought leader and social justice champion, David’s career has focused on improving life outcomes and opportunities for Black people. On September 1, 2017, David Johns began his next life chapter as the executive director of the National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC)—a civil rights organization dedicated to the empowerment of Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people, including people living with HIV/AIDS.
