Wednesday Wisdom: "Swing Your Swing" – The Most Misunderstood Advice in Golf. One of the most common phrases you'll hear in golf is, "Just swing your swing."And to a point, I understand what people mean. When you look at the best players in the world, not everybody swings the club the same way. Jim Furyk, Matthew Wolff, Bubba Watson, Scottie Scheffler – they all have movements that look unique. But here's what most golfers miss...Those players have spent decades building those swings. They've hit millions of golf balls. They've learned exactly how to time those movements and make them repeatable under pressure. The average golfer doesn't have that luxury. Most golfers work 40 or 50 hours a week. They might get to the range once or twice and play on the weekend. They simply don't have 100 hours every week to perfect compensations and unusual movement patterns. That's why I don't fully agree with the advice of "just swing your swing."For most golfers, the goal shouldn't be to make a flawed motion work. The goal should be to build a motion that requires less timing, less compensation, and less practice to produce a reasonable result.Good golf swings aren't necessarily about looking pretty. They're about putting the club in functional positions often enough that when you arrive at the first tee on Saturday morning, you've got a chance.Because enjoyment comes from hitting some decent shots. It comes from seeing the ball fly roughly where you intended. It comes from not standing over every shot wondering whether today's timing is going to show up.Tour players can get away with unusual movements because they've invested years into owning them. Most amateurs are far better served by developing sound fundamentals.Better grip.Better setup.Better clubface control.Better impact conditions. Those things don't make golf easy, but they make golf more predictable. And for most golfers, predictable golf is enjoyable golf.So instead of "swing your swing," maybe the better advice is:Build a swing that works when life gets busy.Build a swing that still functions after a long week at work.Build a swing that doesn't require perfect timing. Build a swing that lets you enjoy the game more often.Because at the end of the day, that's what most golfers are really chasing.Training Aids & Discount CodesBack 2 Basics Putting – Use the code YGP10 for 10% off or Click Here for 10% offDivot Board –Use the code YGP for 10% off or Click here for 10% off Strike Wedge – Click Here for 15% off Ryp Golf Speed Training – use the code YGP at check out for 10% off! Nick is joined by Jane Mangan to discuss the latest news from around the racing world. With the fallout intensifying from veterinary interventions before the Irish Guineas last weekend, Mick Donohoe - representing Magny Cours' owner - adds his voice to the debate and unearths some interesting fresh information about the processes undertaken. Also today, Nick takes the pulse of connections at Epsom putting some of their hopefuls through their paces: John Gosden, Ralph Beckett, Charlie Johnston and David Egan whilst also getting the latest on the ground from clerk of the course Andrew Cooper.Plus, we hear from RMG employees spending a day with Ebony Horse Club, US Ryder Cup captain Jim Furyk at Ballinrobe, Dan Barber with news of a potential last hurrah for Jim Bolger, and Go Racing's Albert Bosma as our Weatherbys Guest.
Golf Digest's Shane Ryan joins Smylie Kaufman and Charlie Hulme fresh off the PGA Championship to unpack one of the strangest stories of major week: Garrick Higgo's “late, but on time” tee-time penalty — and Shane's now-viral follow-up question that cut straight through the confusion. From there, the conversation turns into a wide-ranging look at the modern PGA Championship: finding an identity in the wake of the move from August to May, whether Aronimink produced a fair major test, expectations for PGA Frisco next year, and what makes this championship feel so unique to the Masters, U.S. Open, and Open Championship.Shane also dives deep into the Ryder Cup, where he breaks down why Jim Furyk may actually be the right pick for Team USA, why Luke Donald and Europe continue to operate with such an edge, and whether the Americans are still searching for a system that can finally match Europe's continuity.Follow us on socials @thesmylieshow ⛳️ and don't forget to like, comment and subscribe!Chapters00:00 Shane Ryan joins The Smylie Show00:39 Garrick Higgo's viral “late, but on time” moment03:08 What is the PGA Championship's identity now?08:50 Was Aronimink a fair major test?13:53 Shane's ideal PGA Championship setup16:23 Why PGA Frisco has pressure on it20:40 How PGA crowds compare to other majors21:11 Jim Furyk, Luke Donald & Ryder Cup leadership26:45 Why Team USA's Ryder Cup job is so hard30:40 Europe's Ryder Cup system vs. America's chaos32:26 Biggest Ryder Cup captain snubs34:21 Could Luke Donald captain forever?#golf #pgatour #rydercup #smylieshow #smyliekaufman

The second golf major championship of the year will tee-off Thursday at Aronimink Golf Club near Philadelphia. In 1962, the PGA Championship was played on this same golf course. Future Hall-of-Famer Gary Player won that year with a 2-under par total. Aronimink Golf Club was designed by the legendary Donald Ross and completed in 1928. The superb layout has been stretched to well over 7,300 yards and will play as a par 70. Though Gary Player’s total of 2-under par total was a reasonable score in his day, don’t be surprised if this year’s winner is at least 15-under par. Today’s vastly improved golf equipment and balls are turning classic layouts such as Aronimink Golf Club into glorified drive, pitch, and putt tournaments. The PGA Championship features a large field of 156 golfers. That total includes 20 PGA club professionals who earned their way into this week’s tournament by finishing in the top 20 at a recent PGA club professional qualifying event. Much like The Masters, past winners of the PGA Championship are allowed to participate in this event for as many years as the golfer desires to compete. This weekend’s weather forecast looks delightful. Abundant sunshine with moderate temperatures in the 70’s will slowly increase into the middle 80’s by Sunday. The benign weather conditions will likely create a Philly birdie festival. The PGA Championship has produced a number of champions who “came out of nowhere” to win their one and only professional major in this event. Of the four golf major events, the PGA Championship has produced a large number of surprise winners in recent decades. Let’s review some of those one-and-done major winners and, later, try to identify a few underdogs to win this year’s PGA Championship. Rich Beem – 2002 – Hazeltine (MN) 10-under par Then: Rich Beem was fortunate just to have a PGA Tour playing card entering 2002. He played well during the opening three rounds and trailed third round leader Justin Leonard by three shots entering Sunday’s final 18 holes. Tiger Woods also charged up the final round leaderboard on Sunday to post a 67 and apply some serious pressure. Rich Beem was able to hang on with a final round 68 to win by one shot over Woods. Now: The 55-year old Rich Beem will not be playing in this week’s PGA Championship. In recent years, Beem has been doing golf commentary for Sky Sports. He has not appeared recently on either the PGA or Champions (Senior) golf tours. Shaun Micheel – 2003 – Oak Hill (NY) 3-under par Then: You may remember that Shaun Micheel hit the 7-iron of his lifetime on the 72nd hole at Oak Hill in Rochester, NY in 2003 to win the 27-pound Wanamaker trophy. That was Micheel’s lone PGA Tour victory during a lengthy professional career. He would often finish in the top ten, though. Shaun Micheel recently admitted that he struggled for many years by putting too much pressure on himself to perform well on the golf course. Micheel lamented, “I played every shot like it was life or death.” Now: The 57-year old Shaun Micheel plays in a few PGA Champions Tour events each season. As a past PGA Championship winner, he will be in Philadelphia and plans to tee-it up on Thursday. Y. E. Yang – 2009 – Hazeltine (MN) 8-under par Then: South Korean Y. E. Yang’s victory at the 2009 PGA Championship was memorable for two big reasons. He became the first Asian-born golfer to win a major men’s golf championship. Yang also gained worldwide notoriety by rallying in the final round to win by three shots over a highly-favored golfer named Tiger Woods. Now: The 54-year old Y. E. Yang remains active in professional golf. He just finished in 14th place at last weekend’s PGA Champions Tour event in The Woodlands, Texas. He has posted seven top 25 finishes this season on the senior tour. Yang, like Shaun Micheel, will be playing in this week’s PGA Championship field on Thursday. Y.E. Yang will be trying to make his first cut at the PGA Championship since the year 2015. Jason Dufner – 2013 – Oak Hill (NY) 10-under par Then: Former Auburn University college golfer Jason Dufner had already won twice on the men’s tour coming into the 2013 PGA Championship in Rochester, New York. The laid-back Dufner grabbed a two shot lead over Jim Furyk entering the final nine holes in Sunday’s final round. That duo battled back and forth over the closing holes. Dufner held on to claim the only major championship of his career. Now: The 49-year old Jason Dufner has won five times on the PGA Tour. This year, he has played in only three PGA Tour events (missing the cut each time) prior to this week’s PGA Championship. You may remember that Jason Dufner gained a different type of national notoriety during the spring of 2013. At a Dallas-area PGA publicity event, Dufner appeared before a group of elementary school children. While the teacher was busy talking (and talking), Dufner was photographed sitting on the floor alongside some of the kids. He appeared in the picture to be slumped over in a rather relaxed, sleepy posture. The term “Dufnering” was born. “Dufnering” became even more popular among golfers a few months later after the ultra laid-back Jason Dufner won the 2013 PGA Championship. Jimmy Walker – 2016 – Baltusrol (NJ) – 14-under par Then: Jimmy Walker took the lead at the 2016 PGA Championship with a blistering five-under par 65 in Round 1. He would play well in each day of the tournament. Walker posted a wire-to-wire victory and held off a fast-closing Jason Day. It was Jimmy Walker’s first and only major championship title. It was also his last win on the PGA Tour through this week. Now: At age 47, Jimmy Walker is no longer playing regularly on the PGA Tour. After his 2016 win at the PGA Championship, Walker went hunting with some friends. Upon returning home, his health began to deteriorate. Jimmy Walker told a reporter that he had contracted Lyme disease (generally transmitted by ticks). His recovery was extremely difficult and very slow. Walker’s return to professional golf was hampered by newfound difficulties with his chipping and putting games. Nevertheless, Jimmy Walker is expected to be in the field on Thursday at Aronimink Golf Club. Could there be another underdog winner at this week’s 2026 PGA Championship? Absolutely! Here are four golfers seeking their first major title and not receiving a lot of pre-tournament love from the media pundits this week. I will also provide a fifth undervalued golfer looking to break into the winner’s column again this week with the 2026 PGA Championship title. Sam Burns – The former Shreveport resident is one of the tour’s finest putters. If Sam Burns can keep the ball in play off the tee this week, he is quite capable of shooting some very low scores and winning his first major. Thomas Detry – This 33-year old Belgian golfer plays on the LIV Golf Tour. He just posted a solid sixth place finish last weekend. That golf course in northern Virginia is very similar to this week’s layout at Aronimink. Anthony Kim – Another LIV golfer who is coming off a hot finish last weekend in Virginia. Kim shot a closing round of 10-under par 62 to post another top ten finish. Brandt Snedeker – The 45-year old just won in Myrtle Beach last weekend for his first PGA win in nearly eight years. When you’re hot, you’re hot, right? Jordan Spieth – OK, I admit it. I would LOVE to see Jordan Spieth find a way to win this weekend. He hasn’t won a PGA Tour event since 2022. More importantly, Spieth would finally complete golf’s career Grand Slam (The Masters, US Open, The (British) Open, and, finally, the PGA Championship) with a victory on Sunday afternoon. Enjoy this weekend’s PGA Championship! The post PGA Championship Preview – Watch out for Underdogs! appeared first on SwampSwamiSports.com.

Gary Williams opens with a wide-ranging look at the Ryder Cup captaincy decision, reacting to Jim Furyk's return and the criticism surrounding it. He frames Furyk as a “piñata” for fans and media while defending the broader system the United States has built since 2014, arguing that context, road losses, roster construction, and generational transitions matter more than simple results. Gary also touches on Nelly Korda's win, the evolving PGA TOUR schedule, and growing concerns around LIV Golf's stability and its impact on players and competition rhythms. Brendon de Jonge, co-host of The Wagyu Filet Show, joins Gary to break down the Furyk appointment, calling it a safe but potentially uninspiring choice while acknowledging Furyk's professionalism and experience. They debate whether the U.S. should be leaning into a younger generation of leadership and how much blame should be placed on past captaincy decisions versus structural challenges like course setup and team composition.Brendon de Jonge also shares insights from the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, highlighting the team format's growing appeal and discussing the implications of Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick's win. The conversation expands into PGA TOUR policy, questioning whether non-members should receive full access to Signature Events and what that means for competitive balance and fairness across the membership. The discussion shifts to current form across the game, with Gary and Brendon de Jonge evaluating players like Keegan Bradley, Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, and Scottie Scheffler. They analyze who needs to find momentum ahead of the PGA Championship and whether Scheffler is on the verge of another dominant run, emphasizing how consistency and preparation separate contenders from the field as the season intensifies. Finally, Gary and Brendon de Jonge dig into the reported LIV Golf postponement and what it signals about the league's future. They explore the competitive gaps it creates for players, the uncertainty around scheduling and funding, and how it could influence decisions for top players weighing their long-term paths in professional golf.5 Clubs airs on Golf Channel and SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio (Channel 92).0:00 Jim Furyk Returns as Ryder Cup Captain13:50 Brendon de Jonge 43:40 Status of LIV Golf FOLLOW 5 Clubs: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/5clubsgolf/X: https://x.com/5ClubsGolf Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/5ClubsGolf/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@5clubsgolf

A big pod today, and we start by chatting about Nelly Korda's big win at The Chevron, and it was a clinic, she won by a mile in a dominant display. Mark is amazed that she's only won the 3 majors, it felt like more. As good as Nelly's win was, the crowds and viewership was light, and Mark saw a tweet from Tour Pro Meghan MacLaren who posed the question as to why the interest was down, what is missing? Nick and Mark are huge fans of the women's game and have been for a long time, however we discuss the tweet and kick around what some issues may be.If we were to 'blow up' the women's major structure, what would you do? Mark says Shadow Creek is a no-brainer, and Nick would love to see a Women's Masters type even at Cypress saying it would be huge. Nick and Mark discuss if The Chevron itself is the issue. A good, perhaps not amazing, course. A major named after the sponsor. Nick says it doesn't have the feel of a major. For Hostplus, Mark awards Nelly Korda our 'That's a Plus' for golf, but not for winning the tournament, for something else. And we read a message from wolfpacker David who noticed something interesting on Nellys kit, Mark asks Grok to clarify. For once, Grok works. Marks 50 bucks paying off. What about Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick. What a story. It was a great win, and wonderful to see Alex get some just rewards following the win. We look at where their rankings are on the Find My Player app, if you haven't seen it, we love it. Follow any player on any tour in seconds. Download Find My Player from the App Store or Google Play. And for BMW, Matt Fitzpatrick gets our Touch of Class this week (how many is that!!!).We discuss the LIV news from the last 24-hours which will see a gap in the schedule of 6-weeks, with Louisiana now postponed. What does it mean (if anything). Mark's source, who he spoke to a couple of days ago, has given Mark some very interesting information about the reason why LIV may be slowing slightly - it has something to do with what is going on in Iran. Mark explains. And we talk about the appointment of Jim Furyk as US Ryder Cup captain. After the turn, for Betr, Mark lists the Top 5 courses in the world that would guarantee increased eyeballs were they to host women's majors. Love your thoughts on whether he's nailed it, or missed something.Plenty of action around the world in the PING Globals, Nick runs us through everything, and for Southern Golf Club, lots of feedback today: we start with the PGA cancelling a couple of events and whether this is an opportunity for Australasia to swoop in, Riley has a theory on Min Woo Lee at The Masters, Martin has a question about inconsistent ball striking, Mark has a view on the potential of returning LIV players, John agrees with Nick and Mark from last week that LIV is unsustainable but adds that the PGA's response to LIV has equally been unsustainable. We discuss. Then a couple of whacks. Laurie says that Nick and Mark are 'cheering for the death of LIV'. The boys respond. And Duane says that we're 'berks who are banging on with rubbish'. We respond, and also pay tribute to Duane's use of the word 'berks', and Nick, Mark and Dan kick around some of our favourite insulting words. You might have some to add! (Keep it clean though.....).And Sam wants to know how would LIV working with national opens even work, and why would the players do it?And for the Golf Clearance Outlet a great masterclass from Nick today, on chipping with your left hand low. We're live from Titleist and FootJoy HQ thanks to our great partners:Hostplus, Talk Birdie To Me's official retirement partnerBMW, luxury and comfort for the 19th hole;Titleist, the #1 ball in golf;FootJoy, the #1 shoe and glove in golf;PING will help you play your best;Golf Clearance Outlet, they beat everyone's prices;Betr, the fastest and easiest betting app in Australia; And Southern Golf Club. Golf's Preeminent Birthday Podcast makes a triumphant return to celebrate Andy Johnson's 40th birthday. The birthday boy is a bit worse for the wear after a "full swing" on Saturday night, but has plenty of stories to share with Brendan after his weekend running a garage sale. Andy's garage sale was NOT the only family-first event on the schedule this week as the Fitzpatrick brothers took home the trophy at the Zurich Classic. Matt Fitzpatrick might have wins in back-to-back weeks, but his younger brother, Alex, now has a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour and a spot in the upcoming PGA Championship thanks to a successful week in New Orleans. Andy and Brendan recap a chaotic finish to the PGA Tour's lone team event where it looked like nobody actually wanted to win before one of the best shots of the year from Matt Fitzpatrick on the 72nd hole. In non-Fitzpatrick takeaways, Andy is stunned to hear that Joseph LaMagna has sold off his Davis Thompson stock after a tough Sunday, and Tom Hoge was spotted at the casino late on Saturday night ahead of a t6 finish. After Brendan and KVV's special YouTube episode on Friday, Andy offers up his take on Jim Furyk leading Team USA at the 2027 Ryder Cup and wonders if Nick Saban would've legitimately been just as good of an option. Nelly Korda made her jump into the "temporary water feature" at Memorial Park - or as most people call it, a pool - after winning her second Chevron Championship and third major. Korda went wire-to-wire in Houston, but it remains to be seen if the event was a business success for the LPGA given broadcast constraints and what seemed like limited attendance. To top it all off, the much-anticipated pool jump was cut from the NBC broadcast and moved behind the Peacock paywall at the last minute. Paul Azinger made the most of his time on cable TV with Bob Papa this weekend while calling the Mitsubishi Electric Classic, filling PJ and Brendan with joy due to his one-liners. Retief Goosen held off a charging Stephen Ames and Zach Johnson to win the event. Lastly on the recap schedule, Andy's Event of the Week on the Legends Tour didn't go well for tournament host Ian Woosnam and questions arise about Henrik Stenson's inability to contend on the Euro's version of the Champions Tour. We will return on Wednesday to preview the return of the PGA Tour to the Blue Monster at Doral. Gary Williams opens the show by breaking down a packed week in golf, highlighted by the Zurich Classic of New Orleans win from Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick and a dominant major performance from Nelly Korda at The Chevron Championship. Gary reflects on Korda's return to world No. 1, what makes a true star in the sport, and how performance and personality combine to elevate players on the biggest stages.Charles Barkley, basketball hall of famer and avid golfer, joins the show to share his journey through one of golf's most infamous swing struggles and how instructor Stan Utley helped him rebuild both his motion and confidence. Barkley opens up about the mental challenges of the game, why overthinking nearly drove him away from golf, and how rediscovering enjoyment has brought him back to playing nearly every day.Barkley also offers a candid perspective on what separates elite players on the PGA TOUR and amateurs, from their consistency to their ability to recover around the greens. He explains why the mental side of golf is unlike any other sport and shares insights on watching the game's best perform under pressure. The conversation expands to the cultural impact of Tiger Woods, with Barkley explaining how Tiger transcended golf and became a true “needle mover” who brought new audiences into the sport. He compares golf's biggest stars to icons across other leagues and discusses why only a select few athletes truly change the landscape of their game.5 Clubs airs on Golf Channel and SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio (Channel 92).0:00 Weekly Winners3:33 The Fitzpatrick Brothers Win5:33 Nelly goes wire-to-wire13:55 Charles Barkley38:50 PGA TOUR Signature Sandwich Issue45:35 Jim Furyk named Ryder Cup CaptainFOLLOW 5 Clubs: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/5clubsgolf/X: https://x.com/5ClubsGolf Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/5ClubsGolf/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@5clubsgolf

Six months after losing the Ryder Cup in front of an, ahem, partisan home support at Bethpage, Team USA has a new captain. Except he's not new at all. Jim Furyk, the man who presided over the 17.5-10.5 pounding in Paris, is back in the saddle. Which begs the question: what are they thinking?! Michael and Lewis break down the appointment a busy episode which also includes reaction to the scandalous ticket prices for next year's match at Adare Manoe, thoughts on the Open's return to Royal Lytham, Nelly Korda's third major victory, the LIV / PIF omnishambles, Matt Fitz-hat-trick, and Justin Rose signing with McLaren Golf. Welcome back, everyone, to the Imagen Golf Podcast! I am Daniel Guest, and I am so fired up for today's episode. If you are listening to this right now, I need you to do me a favor. I need you to take a deep breath. Exhale. And I need you to mentally delete the last five YouTube videos you watched about "supinating the wrist" or "hitting Position 6."Because today, we are going to stop the craziness.(Music fades to a subtle background rhythm)I see it every day on the lesson tee. A student walks up, and they look exhausted before they've even hit a ball. Their brain is spinning. They're thinking about ten different positions. "Daniel, is my elbow at 45 degrees?" "Daniel, am I shallowing the shaft enough?" "Daniel, what about P4?"Stop. Just stop.Golf is a hard game, yes. But it is not as complicated as the industry wants you to believe. We have turned a stick-and-ball game into advanced calculus, and it is killing your scores.Today, we are going back to basics. Not "boring" basics—essential basics. I want you to forget the 10-step diagrams and focus on the 4 Pillars of a Great Golf Swing. If you nail these four things, you can play this game forever, and you can play it well.Pillar 1: Proper SetupPillar Number One. This is non-negotiable. Proper Setup. You wouldn't build a house on a swamp, right? So why are you trying to hit a golf ball with your feet touching and your back hunched over like you're reading a text message? The setup is the only part of the swing you have 100% control over. The ball isn't moving. No one is tackling you.Grip: Get your hands on the club comfortably so the face is square.Alignment: Aim where you want to go.Posture: Get athletic. Bend from the hips, not the waist. If your setup is bad, your swing becomes a recovery mission the second you take the club back. But if your setup is solid, you've done 50% of the work before the club even moves. That's free money!Pillar 2: Logical BackswingNotice I didn't say "Perfect Backswing." I didn't say "Adam Scott's Backswing." I said a Logical Backswing. What is the logic? The logic is simply to get the club up and around your body so you have room to hit the ball with force. That's it!People get obsessed with "hitting positions." They freeze-frame their video and say, "Oh no, my clubface is 2 degrees shut." Who cares?! Does your backswing put you in a position to deliver the club to the ball?Did you turn your shoulders?Did you shift your weight? Is the club behind you?Great. That's logical. You are loaded. You are ready to fire. Stop trying to paint a Picasso in the air and just load the catapult.Pillar 3: Solid ContactThis is the Holy Grail. Solid Contact. The golf ball does not know what your swing looks like. It doesn't know if you're wearing the latest gear. It only knows one thing: Impact. You can have the ugliest swing in the world—look at Jim Furyk or Matthew Wolff—but if you hit the back of the ball first, flush on the face, the ball goes straight and far.We spend so much time worrying about how we look getting to the ball that we forget the job is to hit the ball. Are you hitting the center of the face? Are you brushing the grass after the ball?If the answer is yes, you are a golfer. I don't care if your left arm is bent. I don't care if you lift your heel. If the contact is solid, the swing works. Period.Pillar 4: A Natural Follow-ThroughAnd finally, the pillar that holds it all together: A Natural Follow-Through.I see so many amateurs who hit the ball and then... stop. They chop at it. They flinch. Or they try to force themselves into this perfect PGA Tour finish where their back is twisted like a pretzel and they're in pain.Your follow-through is a reaction to what happened before it. It's the braking system. If you swung with speed (which we want), your body has to rotate through to slow the club down safely.Let the momentum pull you around.Finish balanced on that lead leg.Let the club wrap around you.If you are "steering" the club, you have no follow-through. If you are "swinging" the club, the follow-through happens naturally. It's the signature on the check you just wrote.Setup. Backswing. Contact. Follow-through.That is the cycle. That is the rhythm. When you go to the range this week, I want you to strip away the rest.Check your Setup.Make a Logical turn.Focus on Solid Contact.Allow a Natural finish. If you do a bad shot, don't ask, "Was my wrist bowed?" Ask, "Did I have a bad setup? Or did I just miss the contact?"Keep it simple. Golf is meant to be played, not analyzed to death.Get out of your head, get into your body, and trust these four pillars. That's it for this week. If you want to simplify your game even more, head over to imagengolf.com. We are here to help you see the game clearly.Stop the craziness. Start playing golf.I'm Daniel Guest. See you on the fairway.

Thank you for coming back for Part 2 of Episode 36 featuring my conversation with Briston Peterson, founder of On Point Golf. Briston takes us through the science behind how his 3D ball marker is changing the way golfers see the line—and sink more putts. With Jim Furyk, Charley Hull, and Top Instructor Nick Bradley already trusting it in competition, Briston reveals what makes it so successful and why it might just be the secret weapon to help you make more putts, cut a few strokes off your score, and get over the hump to breaking 80, 90, or 100. Want to try one free? Reach out to me on social media, @ctmascaro, and while my supply lasts, I'll send you one.
Smylie Kaufman and Charlie Hulme recap an eventful Friday from Royal Portrush - a two-shot penalty for a moving ball, bats in the studio, and an untimely hot mic situation! The highlight of the day on the course was World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler posting 64 to head into the weekend with a one-shot lead. Smylie and Charlie discuss whether it's more likely that other players make their way back into the fold, or Scottie runs away with it to win his fourth major, leaving him a U.S. Open title away from a career Grand Slam. SK and CH also discuss the performances of Brian Harman, Tyrrell Hatton, and Harris English, and touch on a Sky Sports report that Keegan Bradley will be on the USA Ryder Cup team with Jim Furyk acting as a de facto captain while Keegan plays. Briston Peterson is the founder of On Point Golf. On Point manufactures the revolutionary 3D domed Golf Ball Marker. The On Point Marker is designed to improve your Spatial Acuity which in turn leads to improvements in green-reading, aim and alignment, and eventually more holed putts. The reason for the success of the marker is that human being are 3D creatures, living in a 3D world, but our eyes can show us only two dimensions. The On Point 3D Marker bridges that gap and allows a golfer to dial-in his/her focus and intensely concentrate, creating the effect of "tunnel vision" which enhances the golfer's confidence on the greens. Briston joins #OntheMark to introduce the marker, illustrate how it works, and dive into the mechanics of how it helps a golfer to improve his/her stereoscopic vision for better alignment and the commensurate marginal gains that promotes. He also shares a putting tip from On Point Ambassador, US Open champion Jim Furyk. Other putting improvement concepts include: Improvements in Putting Speed and Lines Charting Marginal Gains for Confidence The Value of Instinct and the "First Impression" in Green Reading, and Reading Greens from a Wide to Narrow perspective and approach. This podcast is sure to help you improve your confidence on the greens in order to lower your scores. Listen to it on audio or watch it on YouTube - search and subscribe to Mark Immelman.

Andy and Brendan are flying blind with PJ out and about in Vegas looking for places to take his Champions Tour bets. They begin with some clean up on what kind of travel counts as “cross country” and a few more amazing tidbits on the man named Boomer playing in this week's mid-am. Then they get to a variety of news on Jim Furyk dropping the F-bomb and getting all hot and bothered over the notion that a USA loss might be good for the overall Presidents Cup appeal. There's also a preview and chat on the format of the Team Championship at LIV Dallas, and how it compares to the FedExCup Playoffs. They chat about the PGA announcing LIV eligibility for the Ryder Cup, Tony Romo's disastrous pre-qualifying for Q school, and Tiger's latest surgery. Then they get to an all-time golf advice about a nightmare playing through incident.
It's the first true offseason episode of 2024 and nearly all attention has turned to the upcoming Presidents Cup. Andy and Brendan begin this episode with a Victory Tuesday celebration for Brendan's Boston College Eagles after a Top 10* road win at Florida State on Monday night to open the season.
