Spécialiste des musiques chaudes et électroniques, l'auteur-compositeur-interprète / DJ / producteur canadien Poirier a un parcours des plus prolifiques où créativité et éclectisme sont au rendez-vous en plus de 25 ans de carrière. Figure emblématique de Montréal, une constante majeure traverse ses albums et performances, celle de bâtir des ponts entre les différentes communautés, langues, époques et cultures. Il compose une musique faite de rencontres qui mélange de façon décomplexée plusieurs styles et époques. Il est gagnant à l'ADISQ du réalisateur de l'année en 2013 en plus d'avoir été nommé dans la longue liste du Prix Polaris (2008) et nommé aux Junos à plusieurs reprises. Il a lancé onze albums et de nombreux EPs avec des labels tels que Ninja Tune et Wonderwheel Recordings en plus de diriger un album de remixes de la légende de la chanson québécoise Robert Charlebois ainsi qu'un EP de remixes pour Ariane Moffatt, Poirier a sorti en 2020 son 11e album, "Soft Power", inspiré par ses séjours à l'étranger et par ses mémorables soirées montréalaises. Tirée de cet album, la chanson "Café Com Leite" avec Flavia Coelho compte plus de 6 millions d'écoutes sur les différentes plateformes d'écoute. En 2021, Poirier sort le EP "Soft Power Remixes" qui clôt la boucle de son album du même nom. Puis en 2022, il récidive avec le EP "Momentum" qui comprend notamment les deux titres phares "Teke Fren" avec Waahli et "Leader" avec Angee Wings. Son 12e album "Quiet Revolution" dont la sortie est prévue pour octobre 2024 façonne une irrésistible ambiance intime et réconfortante où la musique électronique et acoustique se fondent ensemble pour un résultat intemporel. Le premier single "Agua Oro", une collaboration avec Ramon Chicharron est sorti en juin 2024. Basé à Montréal, il a joué dans plus de 30 pays partout sur la planète (Ouganda, Éthiopie, Afrique du Sud, Haïti, Cuba, Sénégal, Cap-Vert, Chine, Mexique, Angleterre, Suisse, France / La Réunion / Mayotte / Guadeloupe, Russie, Belgique, Australie) et il participé à des festivals d'envergure tel que BoomTown Festival, Dour Festival, Igloofest, Big Day Out, Montreux Jazz Festival, Garorock, Sonar Festival, Nyege Nyege Festival, Piknic Electronik, Cervantino Festival, Mutek et bien d'autres.Il est très actif à Montréal comme en fait foi sa soirée dansante mensuelle Qualité de Luxe dédiée aux musiques africaines et antillaises qui attire les foules depuis plus de dix ans! Graham had what he describes as a ‘casual relationship' with university, but then again, Graham has always done things ‘slightly differently.' His jobs have included organising snowboarding events while living in the French Alps, working on the Boomtown Festival in Winchester and  being co-founder and Managing director of Wake The Tiger – the world's first amazement park, based in Bristol which attracts hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world. So, what is an amazement park and how do you get millions of pounds of investment when you can't even explain what it is? And, how do you do all this when there is a global pandemic happening too? Some may say it would be impossible – Graham has a different story. He believes it all comes down to how much we believe in what we're doing.  He tells us how he copes with rejection and gets back up time and time again – plus he gives the real story of how Wake The Tiger got it's name. Graham's story shows what really is possible –  he believes anyone can achieve anything and we don't have to always follow the rules.  But he also says it always helps if we've got some wonderful people by our side.

UK-based producer Rohaan continues to be one the brightest rising stars in drum & bass and electronic music across the board. Known for a sound that charts a course from liquid DnB, dark and heavy sonics, bass, house, garage, and beyond, he's been included in the ‘Best Tracks of 2022' by Mixmag, ‘Best Newcomer Artist 2022' by Radaar Show, and earned a spot in UKF's ‘Top 20 Artists' and ‘Top 20 Albums Of The Year' in 2021. Most recently, he wrapped the year with a nomination for ‘Breakthrough Producer' of 2023 by Mixmag's Best of British Awards alongside the likes of Barry Can't Swim, Oppidan, p-rallel, and Effy. He's currently coming off his biggest year yet, with performances at HARD Summer, Electric Forest, EDC Las Vegas, Red Rocks, Escape Halloween, the inaugural EDSea Cruise Festival, Locus Festival (Tulum), multiple VISION showcases, a headline show in his hometown, Manchester, and a set at the legendary Boomtown Festival. 2024 is primed to be Rohaan's biggest year yet, and is starting off with his massive ‘Boy in a Dream' EP that was released via VISION Records on January 25. Racism in Ireland has come to the forefront in recent weeks after the death of George Floyd in the United States. Thousands of people have taken to the streets of Ireland to protest against the treatment of black people both internationally and here at home. This morning on Dermot &Dave spoke to a young black women from Ireland about her experience of racism in her home country. Ebun Oladeru works in different avenues of set design and the fashion industry. Graduating from Brighton University with a degree in Fashion, Media and Promotion her skills although broad are typically a great insight to the personality and work ethic behind Abstract Originals. Experienced in set design/building with a particular niche for scenic painting Ebun has worked for many years with Glastonbury Festival, Boomtown Festival and London Fashion Week. On the document, which is supposed to represent citizens from all backgrounds across the country, the options for race are 'Black African' or 'Black Other'. Ebun was born in Ireland, grew up in Dublin and does not fit into either of the above races. She is calling on the CSO to include other options including 'mixed race' and 'Black Irish', so there can be an accurate record of diverse cultures in this country.
