As part of a listener request series we jump forward a bit in time from our normal timelines to cover this Coliseum Home Video release. The 2 hour tape has matches from late 1989 and 1990. We're splitting the content into two separate shows. In this episode we cover a battle of "Kings", we share Geoff's - Sheri Martel story and focus on two matches with the Rockers. Our intro includes a corrections section and a brilliant idea to help smooth over Canada and USA tensions. We discuss WWF's World Tour 1990 released by Coliseum Home Video.
On this episode of the Noobs and Knockouts Podcast, we watch another Coliseum Home Video release, this time from 1994, aka the New Generation Era. Austin picked this one because it had Paul Bearer as the host, and regretted it almost instantly. On the bright side, we have Stan Lane and Gorilla Monsoon doing the most irreverent commentary ever heard in Vince McMahon's WWE. Won't you join us?
On August 28, 1986 the World Wrestling Federation put on a show in Toronto, Canada that drew over 74,000 fans! This mega-event was not a pay-per-view - it was a live event that was taped and later released on Coliseum Home Video. Why did this event draw so many fans? What does it say about the pro wrestling climate in 1986? How well does this event hold up all these years later? We talk about all that and more on this mornings episode of 80's Wresting the Podcast!
The Hogan Era podcast episode 68 s all about Typhoon and one of the biggest rivalries ever in the WWE.The most significant name in professional wrestler history is Hulk Hogan. Hulk was not only the greatest star in his era but also one of the greatest ever to grace the WWE ring. On this episode of the Noobs and Knockouts Podcast, we watched another of the Coliseum Home Video releases, this time one devoted solely to one man, America's truest hero, Hulk Hogan. Featuring almost nothing but matches, the thing people like least about Hulk Hogan. But we have Hogan impressions, penis-related court arguments, corny music videos, a flag-off, the King of the Ring line of succession, a traumatizing workout tape, and the best/worst commentary team you've never heard of. Won't you join us?
In an episode from the archives, 'Maniac' Matt and Travis spotlight the Coliseum Home Video release of Davey Boy Smith, The British Bulldog.
'Maniac' Matt delves into the 1992 Coliseum Home Video release of The Return of The Ultimate Warrior featuring bouts against Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 6, Papa Shango, and Brian Knobbs plus more.
On this episode of the Noobs and Knockouts podcast, we head to 1985 to watch the very first Coliseum Home Video release, Bloopers, Bleeps, and Bodyslams, and Austin will only say it right 50% of the time. It's basically a highlight reel of Tuesday Night Titans, WWF's wrestling talk show, a thing that absolutely existed. And the true star of the show was Lou Albano, who played Mario and told kids they'd go to hell for smoking weed, a thing that absolutely happened. Won't you join us?
It's a special "Profiles in Bad-Assery" edition of All the WrestleManias, and we're profiling the Ax and the Smash(er), the walking disaster -- Demolition! We'll tell you all about the histories of Ax and Smash and watch their 1989 Coliseum Home Video, all while singing along to their epic metal theme song. Then we review WrestleMania Backlash, and take a listener-requested look back at the 1993 Coliseum Home Video release, Smack 'Em Whack 'Em! Whew, we're tired just thinking about it! The return of the Gems of Wrestling is finally here! This time, we are delving into the treasure trove of Coliseum Home Videos! We begin with WF116 aka "Bashed in the USA!" Released in June of 1993 in a time that you kind have had to be there, it's no longer the Golden Era of Hulk Hogan yet it isn't quite the New Generation of Bret & Shawn. It isn't a period of time looked back upon with great fondness but as with anything that we review, there will be Gems of Wrestling! We will be tallying up the victories of every wrestler on every tape that we review - ultimately finding a definitive "Gladiator of the Coliseum (Home Videos)". In this episode of HDTGB comedian, Alex Spears isn’t embarrassed at all to join Zane & Jake to discuss WWE Most Embarrassing Moments. This episode continues along with HDTGB’s investigation into the Coliseum Home Video library on the WWE Network. We say investigation because there are moments in this video that are just as problematic as, Sixteen Candles. Such moments as the usage of a Hard Ys, The W word and dick grabbing that predates Joey Ryan’s dick “Killed the Business”. Luckily, there was no huffing of spray paint on the video but the same cannot be said for Alex, Zane & Jake. So, good luck listening to this one when everyone on the episode was high AF.As always for corrections tweet at Jake @manscoutmanning or email him at Jake@SSLShow.com. On this episode of HDTGB comedian Eik Eikenberry returns to join Zane & Jake as they continue down Coliseum Home Video Memory Lane with WWF Funniest Moments. Little known fact but the title of this home video release has a grammar error in it. Yeah, the title should have a question mark at the end of it. This video should have been called “A Really Long Rhythm & Blues match, Buddy Rose Squash Match, Promo “Gold” with The Bushwhackers & WAY Too Much Gobbledy Gooker. This has to be the worst Coliseum Home Video release EVER. But it is less than an hour long and that is why we watch it for this week’s episode of How Did This Get Booked ?!?As always for corrections tweet at Jake @manscoutmanning or email him at Jake@SSLShow.com.Make sure you checkout HowDidThisGetBooked.com for more information on the next episode.Available on iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play, SoundCloud, YouTube & HowDidThisGetBooked.com
On this episode of HDTGB comedian, Crystalle Ramey returns to discuss another Coliseum Home Video release, Brains Behind the Brawn. We can’t remember what show Crystalle reviewed last time so we don’t know if this is a step up or not but there is definitely more Bobby “The Brain” Heenan involved in this episode. In fact, the title of this video could be The Best of Bobby “The Brain” Heenan or “Bobby “The Brain” Heenan Dabbles Around in the Slave Trade. Jake is barely holding it together after being sleep deprived all week but he does come up with a million dollar idea that surely someone will steal. But sometimes you have to Face the Facts. Even though Jake is in a tailspin Zane feels it is good time to test their friendship. Thankfully Crystalle is there to be the Miss Elizabeth to these two Mega Powers. As always for corrections tweet at Jake @manscoutmanning or email him at Jake@SSLShow.com. On this episode of HDTGB comedian, Mimi Benfield returns to discuss a much shorter show. Bloopers, Bleeps and Bodyslams is Coliseum Home Video 001 and boy are we surprised they made more of them. Luckily Mimi was here for this one so she could share her thoughts about Adrian Adonis haunting Rowdy Roddy Piper. Jake also recalls a story he heard from Tony Atlas himself and no its not about feet. Because of this video Zane now has a new code word for a drunk and unruly customer at his bar which now will be referred to as a, Captain Lou Albano. Dicks, Butts and domestic assault is the comedy gold mine that Vince Killer McMahon was aiming for in this Coliseum Home Video classic. As always for corrections tweet at Jake @manscoutmanning or email him at Jake@SSLShow.com. Make sure you checkout HowDidThisGetBooked.com for more information on the next episode.Available on iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play, SoundCloud, YouTube & HowDidThisGetBooked.com

Shawn Michaels faces perhaps his most unique challenge yet as WWF Champion when he faces the deranged Mankind in Episode 42 of 'The New Generation Project Podcast' as we take a look at "In Your House: Mind Games". Featuring; more Savio Vega than you could ever need, another terrible bout between The Undertaker and Goldust, Sid vs an elephant, a new tagline now that the old one is no longer suitable, a ton of Coliseum Home Video exclusives, The World's Tamest Man, Paul's thoughts on England's Ashes performances, angry Jim Ross, Justin 'Hawk' Bradshaw finally makes PPV and Brian Pillman, Steve Austin and Owen Hart kill it on the microphone. Plus the answers to the questions; How was The Scrivens Family holiday? Who gets dealt with easily in the main event? Why is Paul wet? Which amazing 90s kids TV show comes up this episode? Can you teach binary to a dog? Who are the 3 guys in the front row? And who are those 2 blokes who sort of look a bit like Razor Ramon and Diesel?
